As soon as Kyungsoo and Baekhyun arrived at the latter's apartment they prepared immediately. They'll be late if they don't move fast. Baekhyun couldn't help but feel anxious and nervous at the thought of seeing some of his friends again after a long time. Meanwhile, Kyungsoo is very excited and kept telling his best friend to hurry up.

"Minseok is going to be here anytime now Baek. Better hurry up." Kyungsoo said.

"He's going to pick us up?" Baekhyun questioned his best friend. "Oh, haven't I mentioned it? Well, now you know." The younger of two answered. He's almost finish dressing. All that's left is his footwear and he's good to go.

 "Well at least, we're not going to commute to get to the venue. I should get a car soon." Baekhyun remarked, zipping up his pants.

It didn't take long for Minseok to arrive at Baekhyun's apartment. He was greeted by Kyungsoo and was asked to come in.

"Not a bad apartment Baekhyun. Are you living with Kyungsoo?" Minseok asked, scanning the fullness of the complex.

 "No. I live alone. Kyungsoo just came over yesterday." he explained.

"I came over to make sure he's going to attend our reunion." Kyungsoo added. He gave Minseok a glass of iced cold water. He thanks him.

Minseok glanced at his wristwatch and said, "Are you ready yet? We need to keep going if you don't want to be late."

"Give me three more minutes." Baekhyun requested. He’s still putting his eyeliner. When he seems satisfied he run out to his bed side drawer and took out a small box. "I need to get things right" he thought.

"I'm ready!" Baekhyun announced, finally.

 The three of them heads to Minseok car, which he borrowed from his brother who still lives in Korea.

"What a nice car, Min." Kyungsoo complimented.

"Thanks Kyungsoo. Get in." Minseok smiled.

Kyungsoo picked his place beside the driver's seat much to Baekhyun's dismay. He doesn't want to sit in the back. He gets it anyway, like he has a choice. Arguing with Kyungsoo is like arguing with God. You'll never win.

While driving, Minseok inquired about Kyungsoo's present love life. Kyungsoo said he's been seeing someone lately but it's nothing serious. Baekhyun knew he's going to be interrogated too.

"I date once a while." Baekhyun said trying to act cool. "But not right now, I'm focusing on my new book."

 "Don't be fooled Min. Baekhyun here hasn't engaged himself in a relationship since Chanyeol left." It was already too late when Kyungsoo realized he had just dropped the bomb.

He turned to look at Baekhyun, apologizing. His best friend stared at him in return but was given a "You're dead" look.

Minseok couldn't believe with what he'd just heard. "Woah Baekhyun. You’re still not over him? It's been 8 years. You should move on"

"My sentiment's exactly!" Kyungsoo agreed but was met with a bad response from Baekhyun again.

"Thanks a lot Kyung." Baekhyun rolled his eyes. "And for the record, I'm over with him a long long time ago. I just don't have the time for silly relationship right now." He defended.

 "I'm sure you'll find someone soon, Baek. Just like me." Minseok smiled eyeing his engagement ring.

"And that reminds me, you haven't told us your fiancé's name. Is she pretty?" Kyungsoo is hyper once again.

"It's not she, but a he. His name is Luhan and yes, he's pretty." Minseok grinned.

"Wait what? You're engaged with a guy?" the guy in the back seat blurted out in surprised. “I thought you're into girls.”

"I was into girls Baekhyun, until Luhan. When I first saw him, I knew he's the one for me, like were Soul Mates" Minseok shyly admitted.

Baekhyun cringe at the mention of the word ‘Soul Mate’. "That's too cheesy Min." Kyungsoo side commented.

"But how did you get engaged? I mean is it, you know, okay with people there?" Baekhyun asked.

"Baekhyun! Have you been living under a rock? China had passed a law a few months ago allowing gay marriage." Kyungsoo told his best friend. “Watch TV sometimes.”

 "Kyungsoo's right. When I heard the news for the first time, I immediately asked Luhan if he would like to be my lifelong partner." The chubby face guy said now blushing.

"Oh. Well that's good then. I'm happy for you." Baekhyun patted his friend's shoulder.

"Thanks Baek."

The group was quiet for the rest of the trip. No one bothered to speak or initiate a conversation. Minseok is too busy concentrating with his driving. Kyungsoo looks like he dozed off. And Baekhyun, well, he's getting more anxious as times goes by. In a few minutes, he'll be greeting his old friends and maybe Chanyeol as well.

 [8 Years Ago]

 "Chanyeol, have you been in a relationship before?" The teenage Baekhyun asked. The two of them is resting under the shade of a tree not far away from their school grounds.

"I already had three girlfriends." Chanyeol boasts. He's grinning at Baekhyun. "Why?"

"Nothing, I just want to know." Baekhyun shrugged.

 "Oh really? Is my Bacon jealous?" The taller guy asked still grinning.

"Are you serious? That's the lamest joke I've heard this year." He mocked.

 "Ouch. That hurts." Chanyeol said faking what it seems like a heart attack. They both laughed.

 After a while, silence enveloped them.

"Bacon, do you believe in Soul Mates?" Chanyeol suddenly stated.

 Baekhyun stared at his buddy. At first he thought that Chanyeol is only joking, as usual but no, the Chanyeol in front of him is serious.  "I don't know, maybe. Why do you ask?"

 "Well, honestly I'm curious about it. You know some say that you'll immediately recognize your soul mate once you laid your eyes upon him or her for the first time. It's like an instinct." Chanyeol turned to look at his best friend. "You'll know immediately."

Baekhyun stared back. They were staring at each other. He felt the awkward atmosphere is beginning to cloud them over so he turned his gazed somewhere else. Chanyeol did the same. No one spoke. Baekhyun's phone began to rang, breaking the awkward atmosphere between him and Chanyeol. He proceeds to answer his phone. It was Kyungsoo.

"Okay. I'll be there." Baekhyun told Kyungsoo over the phone then hanged up.

 "I'm sorry Chanyeol, I need to go now. Kyungsoo's asking for help with his project." Baekhyun said while picking up his things. "See you later."

 "Ok. See you later, Bacon." Chanyeol replied his grin is back on his face again.

"Bye." the shorter guy waved.

 [Present Time]

"Kyungsoo, wake up we've arrived already." Minseok shook his friend. "Baekhyun, you too wake up." Baekhyun jolted back to life. He didn't even realize he had fallen asleep too. He quickly fixed himself. He got out of Minseok's car, Kyungsoo did the same. With one last look at the side mirror, Baekhyun smiled in satisfaction.
