Krystal was staring at her sister and the girl beside her. She didn’t even realize that they were only in their undergarments. The chaos was clouding her view for awhile but as soon as they calmed down, Krystal realized her sister was only in her bra and .

“What on earth?”

“Don’t get the wrong idea.”

“How do you expect me not to have the wrong idea? Normal friends don’t sleep together with just their undergarments.”

Krystal was glaring at Taeyeon that promptly made the midget cowered in her seat. Jessica stretched her hand out and held on to Taeyeon’s tightly. She then gave Taeyeon a soft kiss on her lips. Taeyeon blushed. Krystal was looking on at the interaction between Taeyeon and Jessica. Her sister was soft in her mannerisms and Taeyeon was able to plant that smile on her sister’s face for the longest time. She hasn’t seen that smile for a year now.

“I’m thirsty.”

Krystal spoke up.

“I’ll get you a drink. What do you want?”

“Ribena Vodka.”

“This is a dorm not a club.”

“Ribena then.”

“How on earth am I supposed to get a Ribena?”

“I saw one at the vending machine.”

“That’s like all the way to the other side of the corridor!”

“I want Ribena!”

Jessica rolled her eyes at her younger sister. That small brat was doing this on purpose.

“Fine, I’ll get you one. And don’t you dare to do anything funny. I’ll shove the Ribena bottle down your throat.”

Taeyeon turned to Krystal and the girl shrugged her shoulders.

“You actually do that to people?”

“Yes baby. I’ll do it to you if you cheat on me.”

Taeyeon gulped a lump of saliva down . Krystal was amused.

“I’ll be back in a jiffy.”

The moment Jessica left the room, Krystal waited for a few minutes before she grabbed Taeyeon by her sleeves. Taeyeon was taken aback.

“We need to talk.”

“Oh..okay.”

“This is about my sister.”

“Yes, I think I can assume that.”

“Sit.”

Krystal pushed Taeyeon to Jessica’s bed. Taeyeon looked up; Krystal was eyeing her from head to toe.

“You’re a little short.”

“Yes, my nickname is Midget Kim.”

“Oh?”

“Your sister gave it to me.”

Krystal chuckled softly.

“Well, she seems to like you a lot to give you the permission to get into her pants.”

“I won’t hurt her.”

Krystal looked up. Taeyeon was serious.

“I had a girlfriend before but we broke up a year ago. Your sister is not exactly the kind I’d go after but she’s really sweet when you know her better. Her icy cold persona was just a mask to hide her flaws and indifferences.”

Krystal was surprised at Taeyeon’s words. They were right on.

“I’ll look after her properly. I promise you.”

“Good, you know what I wanted to say even before I could tell you. She’s my only sister. We don’t really belong to a good family. We hardly see our parents and I hardly see her too. Now that I’ve entered high school, I found one nearby to this university. I wanted to be near her. She’s all I’ve got.”

Taeyeon was pleasantly surprised when Krystal continued to share information on Jessica. She wanted to know Jessica better. She felt a little weird that she slept with the girl before knowing anything about her. But Taeyeon knew it was not lust anymore; it was definitely mutual attraction. Taeyeon was keen to develop the relationship further.

“My sister doesn’t really allow anyone to enter into her life that easily. Her only best friend is Tiffany.”

“Tiffany?”

“She used to like that girl a lot.”

“Used to?”

“Maybe she still does before you come along.”

Taeyeon didn’t like the sound of it.

“So who is this Tiffany?”

“She’s studying in the same university. She should be your sunbae now.”

Taeyeon felt a little threatened by this name.

“Does your sister love her a lot?”

“Well, my sister’s life changed after Tiffany rejected her. But she has always loved Tiffany even though they are just best friends right now.”

Taeyeon was officially threatened by this name “Tiffany”.

“You girls stay at the dorm?”

The movie has ended and the girls decided to head back. It was late anyway.

“Yeah, Hyoyeon and Seohyun are in the same room, Yuri is sharing with another friend, Taeyeon. I’m sharing with another person.”

Yoona quickly explained.

“Oh, then let’s go back together.”

Tiffany suggested and Soo Young agreed immediately.

“YES WE SHOULD!”

Soo Young purposely screamed into Yuri’s face. The latter was staring blankly into the empty space but she was shocked by Soo Young’s scream. She rolled her eyes.

“Do you have to be this loud?”

“Yuri, can we sit with me on the train?”

“Why do I have to sit with you?!”

“I like you!”

“I swear to God! One more time you said that again, I’m going to kick you in the !”

“You’re feisty! But I like!”

“YA!”

Soo Young ran off with Yuri chasing behind her. The rest shook their heads in dismay.

“Okay, the hyper couple has left.  Should we just move on and take the train together?”

Hyoyeon was suggesting and the girls agreed. Seohyun was walking ahead of them; Hyoyeon was standing next to Sunny and Tiffany with Yoona following from the back. Sunny stole some glances at Hyoyeon who was busy humming to herself.  

Sunny couldn’t help but felt extremely grateful to Hyoyeon earlier on. If not for her, she might have fallen and injure herself. Hyoyeon, on the other hand, could feel eyes on her. She turned slightly to find Sunny looking at her. Hyoyeon looked behind her; there was nobody. Sunny was looking at her all the while.

“What’s wrong?”

“Huh?”

“You’re staring at me. Is there something on my face?”

“No, nothing. I was just staring into space.”

“Oh. So you’re fine?”

“Yeah, I’m good.”

Sunny’s cheeks were red but she turned to face the front. She was caught staring at Hyoyeon. It was just so embarrassing. Suddenly, she heard a loud bang. She quickly turned. Hyoyeon was on the floor; with her hand covering her face. Sunny was horrified.

“What happened?”

Yoona was coming from behind.

“How the hell did you hit the lamppost, Hyoyeon!?”

“I didn’t see it in front of me.”

“How can you not see it? It’s taller than you!”

“I was busy looking at the floor.”

“What?”

“I was pretending I was the singer; singing with my eyes close.”

Sunny couldn’t help but chuckled softly to herself. Yoona was helping Hyoyeon up and smacked the girl’s back with Hyoyeon’s headphones. Hyoyeon was goofy and Sunny liked that.

“Next time, walk with your eyes open!”

“Why is there a lamppost right in the middle of the street?”

“It has been there for years!”

“I need to get that miner’s safety helmet!”

“Why?”

“It has a light in the middle of the helmet. It would be a great help to me!”

The girls laughed immediately. Sunny was observing Hyoyeon. She was cracking jokes because she was embarrassed and perhaps felt a little awkward.

This girl is interesting.

Sunny thought to herself.

“Hyoyeon’s funny.”

Tiffany was tickled by Hyoyeon earlier on. She saw how Hyoyeon walked into the lamppost’s path and knocked into that thing hard and loud. She was stunned at first but was completely amused when she saw the poor girl on the floor; massaging her forehead.

Yoona ran towards her first and Tiffany admired her in some sense. She likes the way Yoona took the initiative to take charge and rush to her friend’s aid. She cares for them genuinely.

“She’s always like that. She hates to be in such awkward situations.”

“You seem close with your friends.”

“All of them mean a lot to me. I mean it doesn’t matter that we just met but I think we click really well.”

“You’re a great person, Yoona.”

“I think you’re nice too.”

“Me?”

“Yeah, you gave your newly bought t-shirt to me so that I could change.”

“But I dropped hot coffee on you.”

“Yeah, but usually people will just apologize and offer to pay for my shirt. You did more than what I’ve expected from others.”

Yoona flashed her wide smile and made Tiffany blushed even more.  Yoona’s smile was akin to an electric shock. It shocked Tiffany’s heartbeat to increase rapidly. Her face immediately flushed.

Yoona saw it. She was amused and she just had to ask.

“Why is your face so red?”

“Huh?”

“Are you alright?”

“I...I’m hot!”

“Hot?”

“Yeah, it’s humid, don’t you think so?”

“But it’s at night.”

Tiffany was caught and she was completely embarrassed. She didn’t dare to turn to Yoona. Her back was facing the girl.

“Tiffany?”

Yoona was about to hold her hand when Tiffany just took off. Yoona was bewildered.

“Tiffany! Where are you going?!”

Yoona ran after her.

“Okay! I give up! I don’t want to run anymore!”

Soo Young was dying. Yuri could really run. The taller girl didn’t have the energy to run anymore.

“I told you! I could run!”

“Yes, yes, you’re a wonder woman.”

Soo Young was breathing hard while Yuri laughed at her.

“You’re weak.”

“What?”

“We’re not really that far off from the girls. They are just behind us.”

“I don’t run. I hate sports.”

“I could see that. You ran like an old woman.”

“Shut up.”

Yuri gloated over it and Soo Young was clearly annoyed by Yuri’s incessant teasing. She didn’t have the energy to argue back.

“Do you want to sit?”

“What?”

“You look like you’re going to die soon. Take a seat.”

“I thought you were laughing at me?”

“I’m not that evil unlike you.”

“Oh, does this mean you’re worried for me?”

“What kind of question is that? It’s normal human reaction to offer a seat to someone who needs it the most.”

“So you’re worried!”

Yuri was giving up.

“Fine, yes I’m worried. Can you sit now?”

“Okay!”

Soo Young sat down and Yuri stood beside her. She was gently caressing Soo Young’s back. The taller girl was taken aback.

“What now?”

“Why are you touching my back?”

“I’m helping you to cool down.”

“By rubbing a person’s back?”

Yuri narrowed her eyes at Soo Young. She gave a hard smack on Soo Young’s back.

“OW!”

“That’s for asking stupid questions.”

Soo Young stuck her tongue out and Yuri rolled her eyes before looking away.

Well, at least you care for me.

Soo Young whispered to herself.

“Why are you running after me?”

“Why are you running in the first place?”

“I don’t know!”

“Can you stop running then?”

Tiffany finally stopped and both girls were out of breath.  Yoona was panting like a dog and Tiffany was leaning against the wall.

“Why did you run off?”

“I..”

“Is there something wrong?”

“No..”

“Then why did you run away? I was worried when you took off earlier on.”

Tiffany looked up immediately. She was taken aback with Yoona’s confession.

“Why were you worried?”

“Well, you ran off without telling me why. And you were running aimlessly. What if you fall or a car knocks you down or something? I ran after you so that I could help you should something happen.”

Tiffany was speechless. She stared at Yoona; clearly moved with what Yoona has just said. But the other girl was clueless. She was taken aback to see Tiffany staring at her.

“Tiffany?”

Without warning, Tiffany pounced on Yoona. She just pulled the girl closer and hugged her tightly. Yoona was paralyzed with confusion.

“Tiffany...?”

“I just want to hug you like this.”

“Oh okay.”

“Just for a while, Yoona.”

She could feel Yoona shifted herself to trap Tiffany in her embrace tighter.

“Take your time. I’m here. I’m not going anywhere.”

And both just remained in each other’s embrace for a long time.

“What did my sister tell you?”

Jessica was walking hand in hand with Taeyeon. The pair decided to head out to find some food while Krystal remained behind.

“Nah, she’s just giving me a heads up.”

“What?”

Jessica stopped in her tracks; Taeyeon was pulled backwards.

“Why?”

“Did she threaten you?”

“No?”

“Then what did she say?”

“Jeshka, you should give more credit to your sister. She really cares about you.”

Taeyeon took both Jessica’s hands and caressed them gently. Jessica felt at ease immediately.

“She’s not threatening me. She’s just telling me what I should expect from you and what you would want from me. She’s actually helping me to get to know u better.”

“Really?”

“Yeah, I want to love you better. Krystal’s helping me. I’m thankful that she’s telling me everything about you.”

Jessica smiled sheepishly. But suddenly Taeyeon was reminded of the other person in Jessica’s life.

“Jeshka?”

“Yes baby?”

“Do you mind if I ask you something?”

“What is it, sweetie?”

Taeyeon bit her lower lip.

“Who’s Tiffany?”

“Oh, she’s my best friend. You should meet her.”

“You love her?”

Jessica turned to look at Taeyeon. Her baby was a little jealous.

“Wait, are you jealous?”

“No.”

“You’re jealous!”

“I’m just making sure that I have the whole of your heart.”

“Aww, you’re so cute when you’re jealous.”

“Shut up.”

Jessica was enjoying her new relationship with cute Taeyeon. She vowed to love Taeyeon sincerely.

The girls reached to the dorm safely.  Yoona offered to send Tiffany back since her roommate returned home for the weekends. She sent the girl up to her door step.

“I’m here.”

“Okay. Are you feeling better after the hug just now?”

“I’m sorry. I was just too emotional out of sudden.”

“It’s okay. I hope the hug helps a little.”

“It helps a lot.”

“Good! Give me your phone.”

“Huh? Why?”

“Just give me.”

Tiffany gave her phone to Yoona. The girl took it and keyed something before returning it back to Tiffany. The older girl saw Yoona’s name on her contacts with a contact number. She looked up.

“That’s my number. If you need someone, just call me anytime. I’ll meet you.”

Tiffany could only look on; Yoona’s smile paralyzed her heart once again.
