“Kyuhyun!” Ryeowook cried out excitedly as he walked into the office.

            Kyuhyun looked up at him with curious eyes, happy to be interrupted from his work, as he was starting to get bored.  “Yes, dear?”

            “We’ve been invited to have brunch at that new restaurant I was telling you about the other day.  Some of the bigwigs at the radio station managed to get reservations and thought we’d like to come with,” he said, clearly eager to go.

            “That sounds good.  What day?”

            “This coming Monday.”

            Kyuhyun’s face fell and he sighed heavily.  “I can’t go.  I film Momma Mia that day.”

            Ryeowook glanced at the calendar hanging on the wall and pointed to the week in question.  “It says that you film on Tuesday.”

            “Originally that was the day, but they changed it due to schedule conflicts.  I forgot to mark it, I’m sorry,” he said.

            Ryeowook pressed his lips together to keep from frowning.  “Okay,” he said, trying to be understanding.  “I’ll just see if Sungmin wants to come.  It’s too bad though, I know you wanted to try it too.  Should I bring you home something?”

            “Sure.  Surprise me.”

            Ryeowook grabbed a permanent marker out of the pen holder and changed the calendar.  “At least we’ll have Tuesday to see each other.”

            “Well…no…”

            “No?” Ryeowook questioned.

            Kyuhyun shook his head.  “Once I had Tuesday free, the company booked me to record in the sound studio.”

            Ryeowook glanced at the rest of the week, which was filming Radio Star for two days and then leaving for a concert that Friday with the members.  “So, we don’t have a day off together until…the following week?”

            Kyuhyun looked at his computer screen, because he didn’t want to see the look in his husband’s eyes when he informed him, “Actually, between the two shows and my photo shoots and our dance practices, I’m booked all through the next week too.”

            When Kyuhyun heard no response from Ryeowook and sensed no movement in his peripheral vision, he finally hazarded a glance at him and found his eyes swimming with water.

            “Technically we don’t work that Sunday though,” he pointed out in a rush.  “It’s just that we have to fly home first, and then we’ll have what’s left of the day together.  Why don’t we go out to eat then?  Or we could even catch a show or something.”

            Ryeowook nodded, without saying a word, and then headed out the door.

            Guilt flooded over Kyuhyun and he quickly got up and followed Ryeowook to his music room, where he found his husband sitting at the keyboard chair, his hands covering his face.  Kyuhyun walked over and crouched down beside him and gently touched his thigh, squeezing gently.

            “I’m sorry.”

            “It’s not your fault,” Ryeowook said, his voice muffled by his hands, still hiding his face.

            “Whose fault is it if it isn’t mine?” he asked.  “Wasn’t it my decision to take on so many projects?”

            “I know you do them for both of us,” Ryeowook admitted.

            “I do…but maybe I’ve gone a bit overboard.  You asked me not to take on Momma Mia, if I remember correctly, because you were afraid you’d never get to see me.  And you were right.”

            Ryeowook said nothing to this and it concerned Kyuhyun that he wasn’t being upfront about how upset this was making him, but he didn’t want to push him to speak if he didn’t want to either.

            “When my contract ends, I won’t renew it.”

            Ryeowook spread his fingers apart so he could peer at Kyuhyun through them.  “Really?”

            Kyuhyun nodded.  “But that won’t be for a while yet.”

            “But Momma Mia is giving you exposure that you’ve never had with Radio Star,” Ryeowook pointed out, lowering his hands unto his lap, which Kyuhyun grasped right away.

            “Aren’t I already famous enough?  I have all sorts of advertisers calling that I turn down on a regular basis; I don’t need anymore.  And, between you and me, I like Radio Star better.  I like working with the guys and feeling comfortable in my work environment.  I don’t need to do both.”

            “I’m willing to eat out less and skip going on vacation every year if we can’t afford it,” Ryeowook offered.

            Kyuhyun had never told Ryeowook how much he paid for the apartment, which was a considerable amount, but it wasn’t enough to break them.  Ryeowook had access to his account, but didn’t look into how much he kept in the bank, so he had no clue just how much money they had between the two of them. 

            “We can still afford for you to eat out and we’re definitely not skipping vacation.   That’s the only thing I really look forward to each year,” Kyuhyun informed him.  “I was just saving the money from the show for
