Wounds
…and then, I Became Cho KyuHyun’s Personal TranslatorAlright. I sincerely hope that I don't disappoint anyone too much with this chapter. When I was writing this, I was in abit of a dilema. I wasn't sure if I should make HyunRi traumatised from being beaten up or if I should make her emotionally-stable. My thoughts were two-sided when I wrote this, so sorry if you find weird or confusing.
Enough rambling! Here it goes...

[Byul HyunRi’s POV]
The setting sun colored the path that leads to the dormitory in a golden glow. Weakly, I limped towards the door while I fumbled for the keys in my bag. What a relief that I still have my bag with me after just now’s episode. The exposed cuts on my fingers stung in contact with the silver metal. Finally, I unlocked the door, kicked off my dirty shoes and went in.
Henry was whistling while he skipped down the corridor. When he passed the door, he did a double take. “N-noona, are you alright?! Wh-why are you covered with—”
“HyunRi! Oh my—” It was SungMin.
I laughed weakly at their inability to speak. “I guess I really look that bad, huh?” I winched; the bruise at the side of my mouth hurt when I spoke.
The other two remained speechless as they stared at my dirt-stained shirt and jeans, my tattered skin. Soon, RyeoWook and ZhouMi came over.
“Fans,” I whispered. “I was attacked by fans.”
“Why?” RyeoWook looked at me with his eyes filled with concern and worry.
I stared at my disgusting bruise-covered feet, “They said that I was being too close to KyuHyun and they didn’t like it.”
SungMin opened his mouth to speak, but I cut him off. “I’m fine,” I told them. “I just want to be alone in my room.” Then, I turned and walked away.
In the privacy of my room, I let out a defeated and painful sigh. I settled my bag in one corner and slipped out of my shirt and jeans and changed into a clean pair of shorts and shirt. Time to clean up the wounds before they get infected…
I twisted the knob of the bathroom door. The bathroom is shared between my room and another room shared by KyuHyun and SiWon which can be accessed from both rooms. I stepped into the bathroom and found someone in there, waiting for me.
KyuHyun was leaning against the wall, his facial expression hardened when he saw me. “I heard what you said in to Henry and the rest just now.” He flatly said.
I ignored him and faced the mirror which was above the sink and sighed. I sure look hideous; the taxi driver must have a really strong stomach. I pulled out a small towel and wetted it. I gingerly tried to clean the cut on my open cut on my left temple and winced. It felt like someone was applying salt to an open wound.
“Jeez, you’re bad at this, you know,” KyuHyun commented before grabbing the cloth from my hand. He pulled the lid of the toilet bowl down. “Sit.”
He sensed my hesitance and urged on, “Just sit.”
“Whatever.” I mumbled before setting myself down on the toilet cover.
KyuHyun gently patted the cloth on the cut and I pull back at the sharp sting the action caused.
“I’m sorry,” KyuHyun quickly apologized. He reached out with his left hand and placed it on my arm, I winced in pain. He sighed. “Seriously, is there any part of you that he not hurt?!”
I just pouted.
He placed his warm hand at the back of my neck, “Does it hurt here?”
I shook my head slowly.
He started massaging the back of my neck with his left hand, “Does it hurt?” he asked again.
I shook my head again in confusion.
“Good,” KyuHyun sighed. “Focus on the back of your neck and try not to think about the pain.”
KyuHyun started cleaning my wounds with his right hand while his left hand massaged the back of my neck. Like an obedient child, I did what he instructed. It worked; I managed to distract myself from the pain by focusing my attention on the warm soothing hand on my neck.
“On the bright side, the only cut on your face isn’t deep, so I doubt it’ll leave a scar. But on the dull side, almost every inch of your face is bruised.”
“Great.” I whisper-groaned sarcastically.
He was cleaning the bruise at the corner of my lip, his face only a few inches away from mine. I avoided his eyes. “I’m sorry.”
“Nah, it’s alright. The bruises don’t hurt as much as the cuts.”
“No,” KyuHyun softly said. “Not for the pain I caused from cleaning your wounds—Alright, I’m sorry for that too.”I could feel his minty breath on my skin. “I shouldn’t have sent you to return the costume alone…and those were my fans!” He closed his eyes and frowned in frustration.
“It’s not like it’s the first time I got attacked by KyuBies anyway. I’m alright.”
KyuHyun frowned, “’KyuBies’? And don’t keep saying that ‘it’s alright’ because it obviously isn’t.” He stared at my arms, the endless trail of cuts and bruises that led all the way up and into the sleeves of my shirt. “Just how much did they hurt you?” he softly asked.
KyuHyun stopped massaging and repositioned himself. He took a deep breath before he lifted up the back of my shirt, the cool air stung my bare skin. I heard him stop breathing for a few seconds before he exhaled. “Ouch.” He finally said before he started cleaning the wounds on my back.
“Y-yah! I’ll clean those wounds myself.” I tried to push the back of my shirt down, feeling awkward.
He just snorted, “Can you even reach for your back in this condition? Plus, it’s not like there’s anything interesting that I would like to look at.”
“Jerk,” I mumbled under my breath.
KyuHyun pretended not to hear me and when he was done, he stood up and stretched. He lowered himself to my eye level. “By the way, what are ‘KyuBies’?” he curiously asked.
I stuck out my tongue, “Go figure that yourself.”
“Fine,” KyuHyun huffed. He stood up to leave but held back his step. He turned to me, “Wait. One more question.”
“What is it?”
“Do you need me to clean the rest of your wounds? Maybe those underneath your shirt and shorts—”
“YAHHH! GET OUT, YOU ERT!”

Hi~! *waves* I hope you guys are still reading.
From last chapter's question: Looks like many of you guys really like DongHae who leads with 8 votes. SungMin is the runner-up with 4 votes followed by EunHyuk and Henry with 3 votes each. SiWon received 2, ZhouMi got 1 and RyeoWook got none. (It's alright Wookie, I'm here~)
And don't worry, it doesnt mean that HyunRi will end up with someone else other than KyuHyun! :)
Thanks for staying subscribed, subsrcibing, commenting and reading! <3
P.s. Question time: How many languages do you speak? (I must be running out of questions...)
P.p.s I speak 2.012345 languages: The two are English and Chinese. The other 0.012345 is Korean, which happens when I go mad and try to rap along with the kpop songs (which no one-even Koreans-will ever understand). Teehee.
