[3^rdPerson’s POV]

The frosty air of the winter was definitely not something that is able to beat the children’s excitement of HwaShin Elementary School. The younger kids were in the heated room, listening to Christmas stories told by the principal (who was dressed up as Santa Claus). The older kids were outside, equipped with thick warm winter clothing, having a snow fight against each other.

Amidst the flurry of white snow balls, a 12 year-old Cho KyuHyun was having a really great time, he laughed smugly while hurling endless amount snowballs at one particular rival.

Several snowballs hit 12 year-old, Byul HyunRi’s back and a particularly huge one hit the back of her head. Instinctively, she turned around, only to be greeted by another snowball that landed on her left cheek.

“Yah! Cho KyuHyun!” In the winter cold, HyunRi seemed to be breathing out fire through her nose as she watched her all-time enemy roll around on the snowy ground laughing at her.

Without hesitation, HyunRi started pelting KyuHyun with snowballs. A snow fight between the both of them broke out.

Snowballs thrown with force were aimed at KyuHyun as HyunRi chased him around the school grounds.

And a second later, HyunRi was seen running away from KyuHyun who was running at her heels, holding up a huge lump of snow which he threatened to drop on HyunRi’s head.

“Yah!” HyunRi’s screamed with hair full of snow.

The next moment, KyuHyun was seen scampering across the snowy field yelping, “Cold, cold!” with snow down his shirt.

The battle between the two continued for about 20 minutes.

20 minutes later, the two were seen lying on the snow while panting heavily. Despite being worn out from the tiring snow fight, they still glared at each other.

“Are you going to give up now?” KyuHyun asked with a smirk, his voice was shaky from panting so much.

“Are you kidding me?” HyunRi glared at him. “This is so not over yet.”

“Well, then bring it on,” challenged KyuHyun.

Another snow fight was about to break out when the door of the warmed classroom slammed open. Their school principal (who was dressed up as Santa Claus) stood at the doorway.

The man dressed as Santa Claus yelled, “Yah! Cho KyuHyun and Byul HyunRi, get into the room this instant! No more playing in the snow!”

So the two children slumped into the room.

“Cho KyuHyun, drop the snowball that you’re hiding behind your back!”

KyuHyun sighed disappointedly and left dropped his ‘weapon’ outside.

“Thanks for letting your child attend this party,” a teacher said to the parents of the child who was leaving. “Have a good night and merry Christmas!”

The Christmas party hosted by HwaShin Elementary School had come to an end and most of the parents had come to pick their child home. The room was almost empty except for three children who were waiting for their parents and a teacher.

[Cho KyuHyun’s POV]

I let out a huge yawn as I made my way towards the fireplace in the room. It had been a tiring day for me and there were beanbags near the fireplace which was a good place for me to rest. At the fireplace, I noticed that someone was nestled comfortably on one of the beanbags. At a closer look, the person was Byul HyunRi, who was sleeping soundly.

I let myself collapse onto the beanbag next to her. Did the snow fight tire her out so much? She looks as if she could sleep through a tidal wave. Well, let’s see.

My mischievous-self took over at once as I reached my leg out towards her. Slowly, I nudged my toes into her stomach.

No response.

I raised my leg and pushed my foot against her right cheek this time.

No response.

Hahaha! This is fun! Hmm… What else can I do? Aha! I’ve got an idea.

I got on my knees and leaned towards her. I fished an ink pen out of my back pocket and was about to doodle on her face when I heard the front door open.

It was the parent of the other child. The teacher sent the child off, wished their family ‘Merry Christmas’ and walked off towards the bathroom. So it was only HyunRi and I left in the room.

Well, the better for me. I can doodle on her face however I want to now. Kekeke.

I turned back to HyunRi’s face and my eyes widened because her face was only inches away from mine.

I’ve never been this close to a girl. Well, I don’t really consider my mother as a ‘girl’ she is a woman, right?

The flames from the fireplace made her face look as if she was glowing in the dimly lit room. Her eyes were closed and the shadows of her long eyelashes were casted at the bottom of her eyes. Her cheeks were rosy from the cold and her lips were slightly puckered in her sleep.

Her lips.

I felt my breath hitch at that thought.

My heart rate started increasing. Why am I suddenly feeling like this?

I feel like… I feel like I’m attracted to her.

Flashbacks of the Christmas Special drama I watched on television yesterday played in my head. There was a kiss scene at the end of the show. The teenage actor in the show kissed his girlfriend when she was asleep.

M-maybe I could be like that actor??? I just want to try this…

I could almost hear my heart beating as I leaned closer and closer to HyunRi. My eyelids slowly went downwards as I leaned in. I held my breath and shut my eyes completely a split second before touchdown. And before I knew it, my lips were on hers.

[Byul HyunRi’s POV]

My eyes opened and I found myself in alone in the room at school. Yeah, the Christmas party had ended and all of the children seemed to have already gone home. Even the teacher was missing.

I sat up and rotated my stiff neck. Feeling a little too warm, I decided to go take a walk.

I yawned hugely as I pushed open the door that led to the school rooftop. Instantly, I rush of cold air greeted me. Feeling refreshed, I walked into the snow-covered rooftop.

Then, I noticed footprints on the snow bed. Strange, was there someone else here?

Out of curiosity, I followed the set of footprints and stopped when I saw a figure sitting on a bench. It was none other than Cho KyuHyun.

KyuHyun, who was oblivious to my presence, was running his hands through his hair looking flustered. I ducked behind a wall as I he mumbled to himself.

“Gahhhhh! What had I done?” I heard KyuHyun say.

What had he done?

“If she finds out about this, she’ll skin me alive!”

Did he finished eating the entire chocolate Santa and is afraid of the teacher finding out?

“That was my first kiss!”

He kissed the teacher?!

“She’ll pull out all my hair, kick me on my bottom and probably stuff my head into a Christmas turkey.”

KyuHyun-ah, I don’t think the teacher is that violent, you know.

Then, he said, “If HyunRi finds out that I kissed her in her sleep, I’ll be doomed.”

I froze as KyuHyun’s words sank in.

…

H-he kissed me?

But weirdly, instead of feeling raged like how KyuHyun predicted, I stayed calm. Absentmindedly, I touched my lips and felt my cheeks hit up and my heartbeat raise.

Unsure of what to do, I ran back indoors.

[UNRELATED TO STORY] SHINee World Concert Singapore 10 September 2011:

Since I mentioned about this concert a few chapters ago, I thought that I'll just share a little bit of my experience at this amazing concert. Hehehe.

It was one of the best nights of my life~~~~~~~ *.* For the first time of my life, I saw SHINee live. Like wowie wow wow, I mean, I saw a life-size, breathing puppysaurus right in front of my eyes. Wow. Anyway, the concert was purely daebak x9999,87654321 ^.^

My favourite performance was Lucifer, y'know the green lasers and x-men claws the boys wore.

The boys were gorgeous. TaeMin is really, really skinny. I counted MinHo's abs. We sang a birthday song to Key. Onew was so nice. Even though JongHyun's voice sounded a little pitchy at that time, he still dazzled the crowd with his smiles and smirks.

There were a few mistakes in their choreography but that never stopped me from enjoying every minute of the concert.

Anyway, it was really spacious in the moshpits and I was kind of running around throughout the concert. The boys were quite close.

The only not-so-good thing is that I suffered from SHINee withdrawal for quite badly after the concert. It seeing your bias leave right in front of your eyes. Blehhh.

There was something I didn't get. There were quite a number of girls that cried after the concert ended. I mean, I was so happy to have SHINee with us for the 2.5 hours and they're crying???

Yup, that's about it xD Bye-bye!

P.s Near to the end of the concert, the SHINee members threw coloured plastic balls into the crowd. And my friend caught the ball that Key kissed!

P.p.s And I took the ball from her and pressed it against my face (ignoring the fact that it had touched the floor for a second).

P.p.p.s I like to think that as an indirect kiss. LOL.
