(A/N: Sorry for the title - an ultra lame pun I decided to use for the belated celebration of the success of SJ's 6th jib xD)

[Byul HyunRi’s POV]

Despite the night breeze and wet hair, I didn’t feel cold at all as KyuHyun and I made our way back to the hotel room. KyuHyun had his warm arm wounded around my shoulders, keeping me close to him (and also preventing me from blasting off into space from a case of over dosage of happiness).

I turned my head to look at KyuHyun, his face lit by the moonlight and the light emitted from a lamppost nearby, “KyuHyun?”

“Hmm?” He hummed while he continued to face the front.

I stalled on my words and concentrated on his face instead. Hmm… You’ve got to admit that KyuHyun doesn’t have the best skin complexion out there. His got fair, but not-so-smooth skin. And his eye bags could be counted by layers. However, he still looks charismatic, handsome and really adorable in a way.

KYAAAAAA~! I can’t believe that he actually feels the same as how I do for him. Blasting off into space in three, two…one.

Alright, breathe in…and breathe out, HyunRi. You’re overreacting; you’re acting like a deprived human.

But wait…I have actually been deprived from dating. The last time I went on a proper date was probably over a year ago or something…blah blah blah. Who cares anyway? I’ve got an arm draped around me, and that arm belongs to KyuHyun of Super Junior. What can be greater than that? >:D

Oh no… My inner weirdo is taking over again.

But still: Breathe in…out—AHHHH!

Unfortunately, amidst my inner calm-breathing session, I failed to notice a piece of uneven ground in my pathway. My right foot collided straight into the uneven piece of tile, throwing my body off equilibrium.

And fortunately, before I could actually hit and kiss the ground ‘hello’, KyuHyun managed to hurl me right up and back into his arms.  

“Hey, are you alright?” KyuHyun chuckled, his arms loosely wrapped around my waist.

“Y-yeah,” I managed and blushed.

KyuHyun tilted his head to the right curiously, “By the way, what did you want to tell me?”

“KyuHyun... Umm...” I trailed off, suddenly unable to find the words I needed to phrase my question. "We..."

“Shall we date unofficially?.” KyuHyun asked with hints of playfulness in his eyes, answering to my unspoken question.

My eyebrows knitted together in confusion, “Unofficially?” I liked the "date" part, but not the "unoffically'" part, to be honest.

KyuHyun’s lips curled upwards into a small smile, “HyunRi-ah, I think that it’ll only be fair for you to know more about my life before agreeing to go officially go out with me.”

I protested, “I’ve been working and living with you for the past two months. I do know how your life is like.”

“Of course you do,” KyuHyun chuckled. “However, when we return to Korea, it’ll be a different story. My schedules would be jam-packed with trainings and recordings. I’ll be even busier when we have to prepare for our next album later this year. What if I have to fly overseas for promotions? What if I don’t have time to be with you?” He frowned at the last sentence.

“I-I—”

He cut me off, “And, what if I am scheduled to go on shows that pair me up with another celebrity?”

My mind flashed back to the memories of seeing news of SeoKyu (SeoHyun of Girls’ Generation and KyuHyun), YoonKyu (Yoona of Girl’s Generation and KyuHyun) and even Sunny and KyuHyun (due to the rumor of them gaming together) on the headlines of online fan-sites. I do know how fans like to ship these couples together… And not to mention, the rumor that KyuHyun might enter We Got Married later this year…

Aigoo… I’m not the best at controlling jealousy.

KyuHyun continued, “What if we get exposed to the public?”

I could only frown.

“I mean, I don’t care if I lose fans because of us. It’s just that, I don’t want to upset fans to the extent that some of them decide to hurt you. What if you get hurt again? I don’t think I’ll be able to stomach that.”

Mixed feelings overcame me again. KyuHyun-ah, why do you have to be so considerate and nice? You have no idea how grateful and happy I am to have you standing right in front of me now.

“I don’t want you to lose fans because of me,” I finally whispered, unhappy after realizing that I’ll be a form of burden to KyuHyun. 

“I know,” KyuHyun smiled and gently nudged the crumpled skin on my forehead with his thumb. “Aww… Come on, don’t frown like that. We’ll figure a way.”

At that moment, I just wanted to hug KyuHyun for just being there – in front of me. So I did.

KyuHyun was surprised for a second when I threw my arms around him suddenly.

“I hate you, KyuHyun,” I pouted and mumbled to the cotton fabric of his shirt. “But I like you so much more than I hate you.”

He chuckled for a bit before tightening his arms around my waist. His fingers gently tapped the small of my back to the beat of an unknown rhythm.

“Thank you,” I whispered sincerely. “You…really mean a lot to me.”

“Yeah, you mean a lot to me too.”

GAHHHHH. MIANHAEFORDISAPPEARINGFORMORETHANAMONTH! TT_TT The truth is that I’ll be even more inactive for the next few months. I’ve got a really important exam (Prelims and O levels) to study for. My last paper will end in around mid-November, so I’ll probably be dead on AFF till then. Hopefully I’ll be able to squeeze in an update in between…

I hate the fact that I have to go on a hiatus when I’m about to complete this fic. :< I just need one more chapter, than I can check the “complete” box and move on to the sequel. Yes, I decided to write a sequel to this story~! :3 It’ll be about KyuRi’s life after returning to Korea as an unofficial secret couple. They’ll be more drama, -actions and…well…more information will be up next chapter. Hopefully you guys will like the idea of it! (:
