[Byul HyunRi’s POV]

In the next few days, the SJM members were busy with concluding their promotions in Taiwan. The long stay in Taiwan was coming to an end and SJM’s activities were starting to wrap up one by one. We were in the managers’ apartment on our last night in Taiwan, as the managers briefed us on tomorrow’s schedule and told us that we’ll catch the flight back to Korea at 10.30pm after the boys’ final recording.

“Alright, that’s all for today. Head back and have an early rest,” Manager Lee concluded. “Oh, and HyunRi? Please stay behind for awhile.”

I blinked and nodded at KyuHyun, telling him that I’ll be back as soon as possible. KyuHyun returned the nod and the SJM boys filled out of the apartment one by one.

“Have a seat,” Manager Lee motioned to the seat in front of him.

I took a sit, concealing the nervousness that was bubbling within me. It had to be something regarding my contract as the group’s translator… Is this going to be the end of my journey as a translator?

“This is about your contract with us as the group’s translator,” the manager stated and pushed a stack of files onto the table. I smiled a little inside, upon seeing the contract that I signed back in Korea at the job agency. My crooked signature that I signed before fainting came into sight. Who knew it would lead to so many happenings?

“According to the contract, your employment with the company will end after the long stay finishes,” he continues. “And we really appreciate your hard work and dedication in this job, so we’ll like to offer you a job within the company.”

My eyes widened: a job in SM Entertainment?

“We’ll like to hire you as one of our language teachers in the company: English, Mandarin and Korean language. Also, you may be assigned to follow our idol groups overseas when necessary. The salary, terms and conditions would be slightly different, of course.” He smiled and pulled out a file out of the stack. “Here’s your new contract. Please vet it carefully and return it with your decision stated in three days’ time.”

Awhile later, I was sitting on my bed back in my room, flipping through the contract.

“So, are you going to accept the job offer?” KyuHyun asked as he gently poked the contract from underneath, jostling it slightly in my grip. He was lying on my bed with his head on my lap.

“I don’t see why not,” I replied. “The conditions sound pretty good to me. I won’t have to worry about becoming unemployed now.” And it also means that our workplace is at the same location.

“I guess so; the language department had always been short in hand.” KyuHyun added with a yawn.

I put the contract down on the bed next to me and looked down at him, “Aren’t you going to sleep? It’s late.”

“Alright, I’ll sleep now. Goodnight!” With a cheesy grin, KyuHyun shut his eyes and pretended to fall asleep on my lap.

“Not here! I meant in your room.”  I giggled giddily at his childishness and jiggled my knees.

KyuHyun chuckled before sitting up properly, “Arasso, but before I go,” he gently tugged on my arm, placed a hand gently against the side of my face and planted a kiss on my forehead. "Sweet dreams."

An electric-like feeling ran through my system; it felt like warmth and bliss, like the type of thrill you'll get just the split second you zoom down the highest peak of a roller coaster ride. 

After he left the room, I logged in to Skype.

Cera and Jas are my best friends that I met back in Singapore. Ever since I moved back to Korea and later to Taiwan for my job, I’ve been in contact with them. At first, they were so shocked after finding out that I really got the job as SJM’s translator, but they more or less accepted it later on anyway.

I entered the chat room.

“Hey, woman! You’re late!” What a warm welcome, Cera. “I bet you were smooching Cho KyuHyun, weren’t you?”

How did she know?! I’ve kept my relationship with KyuHyun a secret from everyone, except the Super Junior boys, so far.

“Stop teasing her, Cera,” Jas rolled her eyes. She cleared , “Anyway, we have something to

announce.”

“What is it?” 

“WE’RE MOVING TO SEOUL FOR TWO MONTHS!” Both of them chorused together.

I brightened immediately, “Really?!”

Jas smiled, “We’re on an overseas exchange programme and we’re flying over in a month’s time!”

Cera grinned excitedly, “Oh yeah, it’s gonna be great!”

After an exhausting 2 hour long Skype session with Cera and Jas, I collapsed onto my bed. I stared at the dark ceiling above me, reflecting on how much my life had changed after moving back to Korea.

Well, so now, I am the unofficial girlfriend of Cho KyuHyun. In a few days, I’ll be working in SM Entertainment as a translator and a language teacher. And my two crazy best friends are coming over to Korea in a month’s time.

What in the name of SiWon’s outsized superman-print underwear is going to happen next???

KYAAAA! *dying crow’s cry* SMTOWNSG WILL BE HELD ON THE 23 OF NOVEMBER! (which happens fall on the day of my birthday oh yay me hehe)
