No matter how Jessica tosses and turns around her bed with her arm cuddling the huge teddy bear, she is unable to sleep. She cannot remember how many sleepless night she had since the day she is married to him.

She sits up and glances at the digital clock which indicates 4am in the morning. Picking up her phone and as expected, there is no missed call or unread message from him. It is not unusual for him not returning home late but it is unlikely for him to not return back from his partying by now because he usually will be back latest by 3am. Dialing the familiar number again and again, her calls are either un-answered or diverted to his voicemail.

She is worried for his safety. She decided to try the alternative which is to call his best buddy. After a few rings, he picks up the phone and she asks apologetically, knowing that she has disturbed his sleep given how dead his voice is. “Hi Oppa, sorry to disturb you but is ____ with you?”

“Oh Sica, it’s you. No he is not with me. We left together like 2 hours ago? He hasn’t reached home?”

Just then, the overly quiet silence is disturbed by the clicking sound causes by the set of key and followed by heavy footsteps outside her room. “Oppa, I think he just reached home. Sorry for calling and good night.”

She exits her room immediately and sees him walking unsteadily and slurring some incoherent sentences. The alcohol reeks the surrounding and she knows he had drink a lot. She approaches him nervously and helps to support him back to his room. They sleep in different room although they are a married couple.

When he gets a clearer view, he glares at her angrily. He yanks her hand away and yells furiously at her, “Don’t touch me you . You are the murderer, I hate you so much. Why don’t you go die!”

She helps him again but he slaps her on her cheek and pushes her which results her to land on the marble floor. “Don’t act nice to me. Get out! I don’t want to see you anymore!”

His hurtful words pierce her already wounded heart. She fights back those tears that are threatening to burst. She has used to it, him being violence and vulgar whenever he is drunk. She don’t blame him actually, she knows it is all her fault.

They used to be so close but one incident which happens on one day changes everything including him.
