The hunt begins
Exo return to the pastChapter 3
They all sat in the living room of the mansion with Suho holding the map. "Well obviously this Pearl person had control over plants, if Suho is water than the other has to be either earth or healing" Suho frowned " I don't think it would be earth just because if you remember when Lay's powers first formed he healed a flower, I bet it was a sign". Kyungsoo huffed at this while lay just looked on apologetically. Suho gave Kyungsoo a look before he opened the map, and made a confused noise,
"what's wrong?" Kris asked,
"this is the forest we played in when we were really little and still lived in the old sanctuary"
kris looked annoyed "the sanctuary's been gone for years, that's why we were forced to relocate here"
Suho's frown deepened "but I know these woods... Well boys" he sighed "pack you're things for a long trip, we're going to the sanctuary" everyone else just gave a confused nod before heading back to their homes to prepare.
The next day found the boys on a train going to the town closest to the sanctuary, from there they would have to continue on foot for about twenty miles before they reached the grounds, and then they would have to search, in Kris's words the whole damn forest.
Suho sighed, he had spent all last night convincing Kyungsoo that, yes he still wanted to be with him and, no lay was not an evil demon out for his boyfriend's heart... Yet Kyungsoo was still practically on top of him the whole train ride which had gained some suspicious looks from the other members.
The train finally pulled into the station of the little town where they checked into the hotel for three weeks, they didn't know how long they'd be in the forest and they needed some place to put the legend once they found her, and prepare what they would need for the hike. They split up who carried what, Kris, Xiumin, Chanyeol, and Suho carried the food since they could handle larger packs.
Kyungsoo, Baekhyun, Luhan, and Sehun each carried big packs filled with water canteens since they weren't sure if the well or the river were still sanitary near the sanctuary. Chen, Lay, Tao and Kai carried extra clothes, first aid kits, cooking/eating utensils, and emergency rations which would be used if absolutely necessary.
Waving goodbye to the person behind the counter of the hotel they left the town and began their hike to the sanctuary.
