He strolled over towards the car as he climbed in eagerly. He had been waiting for his turn all day, now he could finally prove himself in front of this girl. And maybe he could get her by his side too.

Of course, he wasn’t only considering the girl as his prize, he wanted to be able to redeem himself after that horrible opening race he had.

“Don’t forget to buckle up.” Aria gave him a fake smile before smirking. “You have so much to prove, and yet so much to lose.”

“I am better than all of my brothers.” CAP said confidently.

“I’m sure you’re the only one that thinks that. I’m more than positive that the two left are better than you.” Aria replied to him. She didn’t mean to try and crush his spirit before he even started, but she was growing tired of his cockiness. He had to be deflated before he crashed the car due to his ego.

He put the keys in and started the car, pulling it up to the starting line. Hyeongkon was already there waiting as Mia gave him a kiss for good luck. She stood in the middle, ready to start the race.

She waved the flags around happily as Hyeongkon zoomed off first, CAP again, was late to start but caught up to Hyeongkon on the outside quickly to make up the second difference.

Hyeongkon refused to let CAP get ahead of him and started to floor it, they were neck in neck until the start of the second lap where Hyeongkon eased up slightly to avoid crashing into the turn.

CAP took advantage of this and sped up, “You’re an idiot.” Aria told him as she leaned as far back into her seat as she could.

“Why? I can overtake him.” CAP said confidently, he turned the wheel comfortably into the turn and followed through easily. 

“Hyeongkon designed this track and if he is easing up into the turns, then it must obviously be for a reason.” Aria reminded him icily. “We will end up taking two loops around to slow down or else the whiplash when you suddenly brake after this lap will kill us.”

“Fine. Have no faith in me.” CAP said angrily. He glared at Hyeongkon’s car as he overtook it easily and started to zoom ahead towards the finish line. 

Mia stood on the outer side of loop waving the finish flag and CAP watched her as he won the race, the first one to win against Hyeongkon after all. But looking at Mia waving the flag threw him off and he turned the wheel inward too much.

“CAP!” Aria yelled at him as they started going sideways into their next loop. She froze in her seat, clutching the sides of it for dear life.

He tried to fix himself and align his car properly once again but that failed when he turned the wheel too much to the right causing them to spin out, around and around the track as they came back.

Between the screams and bursts of cursing coming from Aria, she managed to find the breath to yell some sort of direction to him. “Press the brake slowly!”

He obeyed as they managed to come to a decent stop right before they hit Hyeongkon’s car which he had parked on the side after he finished. He could afford to fix his brakes, he couldn’t afford to have his car totaled.

Aria threw CAP a glare before getting out of the car angrily. “Hey, you good?” Hyeongkon asked her, rushing towards them.

“Yeah. Fine. We need another break before we do the next driver.” Aria said, walking away towards the garage.

“Yeah, no problem. You know where everything is.” Hyeongkon called after her as he gathered the boys around again.

“Why is she such a for?” CAP grumbled as he threw the keys down on the floor angrily.

“Why you gotta be such a ?” Mia replied to him and Hyeongkon held her back from slapping CAP across the fact.

“I was trying to win.” CAP said. “At least I beat him.”

“For what? You almost killed yourself and Aria!” Mia argued with him. She glared at him before turning her head away and just giving it up.

“Whatever. Now, if no one else beats Hyeongkon then I will be the driver.” CAP said proudly.

“You almost crashed the car. I doubt that merits as you winning already.” Aria said as she came back to the crowd.

“You’re good now?” Mia asked her. 

“Yeah, fine. I need a drink after this day is over But I’m good. You, redhead? Let’s go.” Aria pointed at him and he scrambled to grab the keys and get to the car.
