Luhan's POV:
I was walking through the airport entrance and suddenly a call came through. "Baba, what's up?" I answered, it's my father. He's in China permantly and I'm actually at the airport to spend summer with him and his new wife.
"Luhan, my precious son. I hope you haven't left yet?" He says with a sympathetic tone.
I stop walking towards check-in and sit on a nearby bench, I know what's coming next. "No, I'm at a coffee shop near my apartment. Why? What's wrong?"
"Well... there's a problem with XiaoQing..." That's my father's lastest wife.
I sigh and ask, as if I care. "Right? Is she okay?"
"Well, no... she's been admitted into hospital so I don't think you should come out this summer, what with my busy work schedule and her being hospitalised. You won't have much fun here... All your friends are there in Seoul? Can you spend the summer with them? I'll make it up to you at Christmas time?" He says, something in his voice tells me he's lying. Maybe the giggling woman in the background. But then my father the most influentual business man in China has been known to be a bit of a play-boy. My mother was one of his mistresses until she got pregnant and he married her for his 'image'.
I nod to myself, accepting I'm going to have to walk out of this airport... the 3rd year in a row, like a ninny. "Right, well I'd rather stay here... maybe Christmas she'll be better. Or you'll be better with excuses."
"Don't talk to me like that." He states sternly. "I'm your father."
I sigh once more, but this time I over-exaggerate so he hears me. "Look Baba, I love you. I really do, but you obviously don't give a about what I do."
"I pay for your schooling, home and everything in your life. Do not say I don't give a about my only son." He then adds with a hint of evilness with his next line. "I've even set-up your future don't you remember that gorgeous Japanese girl from the company that paid mine alot of money for you to be their heir. I even gave you up for being my heir."
I laugh sarcastically. "Yeah, you've set me up real and truly."
"Look, don't be so-- you all the time." He says as the second to last line. "I'll talk to you soon. Goodbye."
I hang up the phone, without a proper goodbye. Because I'm angry. Sat here in the airport with my large branded suitcase... my branded sunglasses and branded clothes. I feel sick at myself, it's like I'm sponsered to look like this... because of who I am. I wish I could just break away from it all. I get up and look at my suitcase and hand luggage, now to drag it all back home.
"Luhan..." I hear someone say behind me. I turn to see Dahae stood with a bright expression. "Heading off to China?" She smiles brighter and looks me up and down. "You look like a celebrity."
I smile back to her, she always seems to lift my spirits. "Actually no, I'm not."
"Oh, heading on a amazing trip somewhere else?" She asks.
I shake my head. "I'll be going home."
"..." She seems a bit confused then points at my suitcase. "But why-"
I cut her off and ask quickly. "What are you doing here?"
"Seeing off my father, he's going for a conference in Japan." She smiles.
Oh, Japan. That just reminds me of that robot I'm suppose to marry after graduation. Oh sorry let me refraise that, after graduation that robot's daddy is buying my life. "Oh here alone? Or is Chen about?"
She looks meekly. "Chen is off at some training camp for vocalist this summer, it's just me at home."
I feel kind of bad for her. "Oh, well looks
