Prince class

Woohyun sat on his bed, like he had been for the last half hour after Sunggyu had left. He kept on thinking about what Sunggyu said.

I’ll wait for you.

Woohyun gripped onto his hair, frustratingly rolling around on his bed.

“Why would you say that?” He grumbled to himself. “You can’t say things like that…because then, how am I supposed to not think of you?” He hesitantly let his finger tips brush his cheek, where Sunggyu’s lips had been.

I trust you…so I’ll wait.

“NO!” Woohyun suddenly stood up and decided to take a long walk. It was a weekend morning, so he didn’t have anything to do anyways.

He wandered down the small path outside his house that led to the forest. It was nice to breathe in the clean brisk morning air, and have some time to clear his mind as well. Now that he wasn’t going to obsess about Sunggyu anymore, he had time to think of other things…like…

He stopped walking, and looked around. There were some birds chirping in the trees above, and it was nice. Really it was. Their sweet singing filling the quiet forest. Suddenly there was a commotion in the trees, and a bunch of birds took to the sky. Then there was some loud squawking and a huge black crow swooped in, right above Woohyun’s head. He gasped, and ducked down. He ended up tripping on a branch, and falling into the dirt.

He winced slightly, as he slowly got to his feet. He dusted the leaves and dirt off his pants, when he noticed he had skinned his elbow.

Suddenly his phone rang in his pocket. It was Myungsoo.

“Myungsoo?”

“Hyung…I think I left Namu at the library.”

“…What?” Woohyun blinked in disbelief. “You left your bunny in the library…but that means, since last night…”

“Yeah…I want to go get him, but mom says I can’t.”

“Fine, I got it.” Woohyun sighed. “I’ll get him.”

*

After asking the librarian if she had seen a bunny around, Woohyun decided to search for himself. He returned to the nook of the library where class usually took place. He was surprised to see Sunggyu nervously standing on a chair in the corner, while small Namu innocently sniffed at the leg of his chair.

“Hyung?” Woohyun blinked.

“Woohyun!” Sunggyu gasped, when he noticed the younger man’s presence. “H-Help! It’s attacking me!”

Woohyun couldn’t help but snort. Namu wasn’t even interested in Sunggyu’s chair anymore and was chewing on a paperback, hanging off the bottom shelf.

He knelt down and scooped the bunny up into his arms.

“Yah…you can’t eat those books.” He scolded. Namu didn’t seem to care, and started sniffing Woohyun’s sleeve.

Sunggyu cautiously stepped off the chair and sighed.

“Thanks…that was a close one.” He said, in a rather casual tone, and scooted his chair back to the table, before sitting down.

Woohyun watched him for a moment. He was expecting things to be slightly awkward because of their conversation that morning. But Sunggyu didn’t seem affected in the least, and was already absorbed in his paperwork.

“Uh…”

“Hm?” Sunggyu looked up. “You’re still here?”

“I just…Myungsoo wanted me to get Namu for him.” Woohyun mumbled.

“Ok.” Sunggyu nodded, eyes focused on his papers.

“Hyung…”

“Yeah?”

“A-Are you…I mean you seem to be doing ok.”

Sunggyu scribbled something down, as he adjusted his glasses.

“Why wouldn’t I be?”

Woohyun frowned. “Yeah…I guess.” He merely stood there, blatantly staring at Sunggyu. He was kind of bothered that Sunggyu didn’t really seem bothered.

“Didn’t he say he liked me?” Woohyun thought to himself, getting more irritated by the second. “Then why is he acting like everything’s normal? He’s barely even looking at me. Does he even remember I’m still here?”

“Did you need something?”

Woohyun looked up to see Sunggyu had put his pen down, and was eyeing him curiously.

“Uh…what…what’re you doing?” Woohyun asked, taking a step towards him.

“Ah, just some progress reports.”

“Progress reports?” Woohyun frowned. “Without me?”

Sunggyu grinned. “Well I guess its good you’re here now.”

“Why didn’t you tell me you were doing reports about the princes? Aren’t we supposed to do those kinds of things together?” Woohyun peered over his shoulder, while Namu started nibbling on the collar of his shirt.

“…I think it’s eating you.” Sunggyu pointed to the bunny.

“Hm?” Woohyun looked down, and sighed. “Aish this guy…he must have been eating books all night long.”

“This is why pets are a bad thing.” Sunggyu muttered.

“But this bunny makes Myungsoo happy.” Woohyun smiled. Sunggyu sighed, studying the younger’s face for a moment. Woohyun stared back and immediately averted his gaze when their eyes met.

“I-I’ll just go then…I have to get Namu back to—.”

“Your arm…” Sunggyu suddenly stood up, eyeing the cut on Woohyun’s elbow. “Are you ok?”

“Oh that…I just tripped.” Woohyun waved it off. “It’s nothing.”

“Really?” Sunggyu pouted, eyes clearly showing worry.

“Yeah.” Woohyun grinned. “Don’t be such a worry wart hyung.”

“Yah,” Sunggyu sighed, reaching out a hand. “If I don’t worry about you who will?”

Woohyun backed away hesitantly, refusing eye contact. “I…you don’t have to worry about me. I have tons of people to worry about me.”

“Like who?” Sunggyu’s voice lowered to a breathy tone as he took a step forward. “Those two you live with?” He could barely hide the distaste in his voice, as he thought of Key and Jinwoon.

“Y-Yeah, I have them.” Woohyun nodded. He glanced at Sunggyu for a moment, and could easily sense the elder’s annoyance. “What? You don’t like them?”

Sunggyu bit his lip. “It’s not that, but…they’re kind of…”

“Kind of what? You don’t like them do you?” Woohyun raised an eyebrow.

“Ok, I didn’t want to tell you this, but they’re insane. You know what they did to me?” Sunggyu frowned. “They kidnapped me! That’s how I ended up at the party last night.”

“What?” Woohyun snorted. “Hyung, you’re being crazy again—.”

“Yah, I’m telling you the truth!” Sunggyu whined. “They’re psychos! You should move out of there! Escape from them while you still can—!”

“And go where?” Woohyun interrupted.

“Uh…” Sunggyu paused. “Well that’s…I mean you should get a place by yourself, or…”

“Or…what?” Woohyun stared, expectantly. He was obviously waiting for Sunggyu to offer he move in with him.

“Ah! You could stay with the Rose Prince…I’m sure they’d allow it, since they seem to be fond of you at the palace and—.”

“What?” Woohyun pouted. “The Palace? But before I thought you said I shouldn’t be so close with Myungsoo or its considered favoritism.”

“Well, I might have exaggerated a bit. I mean it’s not like there’s anything between you and Myungsoo. He’s just an innocent kid. And he’s way better than that noisy kid, Kez or whatever…”

“His name’s Key.” Woohyun snorted.

“Whatever…and I’m pretty sure that other guy wants to get in your pants.”

“Who Jinwoon?” Woohyun laughed.

“I’m serious!” Sunggyu pouted. “Everyone knows it! Kez even said it, when they kidnapped me last night!”

“Hyung, if you’re jealous, you can just admit it you know?” Woohyun chuckled.

“Yah, are you really that stupid?” Sunggyu grumbled. “I’m not making this stuff up! He seriously wants to--!”

“Ok, whatever you say.” Woohyun rolled his eyes, already turning to leave.

“Yah!” Sunggyu grabbed his arm, causing him to drop Namu. The little bunny scurried off, somewhere behind a shelf, probably to have a taste of the nonfiction books.

“Hyung!” Woohyun frowned. “You made me drop—.”

“D-Do you want to do it with him?” Sunggyu blurted out, seriously staring Woohyun down.

“…What?” Woohyun choked. “What the hell’s wrong with you—?”

“They told me you never did it with a guy, but…d-do you want to?”

“W-What?” Woohyun’s face flushed. “T-This is a really weird conversation! I-I don’t want to talk about this, and I have to get the bunny back to Myung—.”

“W-Woohyun…” Sunggyu pulled him closer, gripping onto his shoulders. “Did you ever…d-did you ever think of…me like that?”

Woohyun gulped, averting his eyes. “W-Why are you asking me these weird questions right now? I-I don’t understand. I already told you I wanted to be friends—.”

“I’m not asking right now…but before…” Sunggyu bit his lip, as he took a step closer. “I just want to know if I’m the only one who thought of those things.”

“You’re not.” Woohyun immediately answered.

“Oh…” Sunggyu kept his gaze locked on Woohyun’s.

“I should go…” Woohyun whispered. He didn’t even know why he was being quiet, as he took a hesitant step past Sunggyu.

Sunggyu stayed where he was, facing the book shelf, as he heard Woohyun’s slow foot steps behind him. Woohyun stopped for a moment, and cautiously craned his head in Sunggyu’s direction.

“I’m going then…” Woohyun repeated, staring at the back of Sunggyu’s head.

“…Yeah, ok.” Sunggyu murmured, turning his head to the side. “See you later.”

There was a heated silence, as both stood perfectly still.

Woohyun could feel his heart thumping, and he couldn’t take it anymore. He hastily grabbed Sunggyu’s arm, turning him around. Sunggyu’s hands instantly cupped his cheeks, as their mouths met urgently. All the tension built up, finally being released, as Woohyun pressed Sunggyu to the book shelf, holding onto his face, and melding their mouths together as if his life depended on it.

Sunggyu gripped onto Woohyun’s hips, one hand slipping around to his . Woohyun moaned into his mouth, temporarily breaking off the heated kiss.

“W-What are we doing?” He panted, hazily meeting Sunggyu’s gaze.

“I…I don’t know.” Sunggyu breathed, his lips. He kept his grip on Woohyun’s , and squeezed onto it aggressively. Woohyun was looking up at him with half lidded eyes, breathing hard. “You…” Sunggyu stepped forward, pushing Woohyun towards the table. “Have you ever let a man touch you like this?” He murmured, as he pressed his lips to Woohyun’s neck.

“N-No…” Woohyun moaned, softly.

“Good.” Sunggyu meet his gaze.

“What…what about you?” Woohyun asked. “Have you ever done this with a man before?”

“Only you.” Sunggyu replied, as he leaned in, his breath ghosting Woohyun’s lips.

“Good.” Woohyun grinned, and Sunggyu couldn’t help but snort.

“I thought you said you wanted to just be friends.” Sunggyu raised an eyebrow.

Woohyun blinked. “Oh…damn, I forgot about that.”

“You sure did.” Sunggyu couldn’t help but chuckle. “So does this mean we…?” He paused, pursing his lips. “What does this mean?”

“I…don’t know.” Woohyun met his gaze.

“Uh, ok then.” Sunggyu awkwardly nodded, and backed away.

“I’m sorry!” Woohyun blurted out.

“Sorry?” Sunggyu blinked. “Why are you—?”

“Because I don’t want to stress you out anymore, so I thought if we just stayed friends we could avoid the drama.” Woohyun admitted.

“But…” Sunggyu frowned. “What about you not wanting to obsess over me—?”

“I don’t know. Honestly I can’t help thinking about you even more, when I can’t have you.” Woohyun sighed.

Sunggyu mulled it over for a moment. “You know, now that I think about it, it’s more stressful when we’re not together.”

“What are you saying?” Woohyun asked, somewhat nervously.

“Well, I already told you before…” Sunggyu smiled. “That I was going to wait for you. So it’s up to you.”

“Oh…” Woohyun nodded. “Ok…well I guess I’ll have to think this through.”

“You really changed.” Sunggyu suddenly said.

“Huh?” Woohyun met his gaze.

“I mean…well I guess not really. You always think a lot about things…maybe sometimes, too much?”

“But you’re like that too.” Woohyun remarked, and then looked away. “That’s…that’s why you left before isn’t it?”

“It wasn’t because of you.” Sunggyu pulled out a chair and sat down. “I just want you to know that. It was because….I was young, and immature. I kind of just went along with you, but inside, I was…scared.”

“Scared?” Woohyun frowned, slowly taking the seat beside him.

“Yeah, I mean, we’re both guys and—.”

“So?” Woohyun pouted.

“Ok, that may not be a big deal in the Rose Kingdom, but where I’m from its kind of a bad thing.” Sunggyu sighed. “And besides that…you already know this by now, but I kind of have trust issues. I can’t just open up to people…but you made me want to, and honestly that kind of freaked me out.”

“It…it’s the same for me.” Woohyun admitted. “I mean I can get along with people, and be friendly, but…trust is a whole other thing.” He looked up, meeting Sunggyu’s gaze with an intent look. “But that’s why…when I finally learned to trust someone—you—just left…”

Sunggyu nodded. “I know, and I’m sorry about that. I always will be, but…” He pursed his lips. “Boohyun was…”

“Yeah, I know.” Woohyun sighed. “I think I really need to have a talk with him. I mean the lying about you was one thing, but I don’t know…I really didn’t think he would go that far.” Woohyun titled his head, curiously. “I mean I guess he still sees me as his baby brother.”

“Maybe he’s the one with a brother complex.” Sunggyu pointed out, rather seriously.

“Stop with the brother complex! No one has a brother complex!” Woohyun huffed.

Sunggyu just laughed and all Woohyun’s frustrations seemed to fade.

“Why are you like this?” He murmured.

“Hm?” Sunggyu stopped laughing to adjust his bangs. “What?”

Woohyun smiled softly. “No, it’s nothing…”

“Yah, if you have something to say, just say it.” Sunggyu pouted.

“It’s nothing.” Woohyun chuckled, but then glanced around, finally remembering about the reason he came to the library in the first place. “Ah, I lost Namu again.”

“Oh yeah, the Rose Prince is probably still waiting for that bunny of his.”

And as if on queue, Namu the bunny scampered out from under the table, seemingly with determination. He padded over to Sunggyu and started chewing the lace of his boot.

Sunggyu totally did not squeak like a little girl and pull Woohyun in front of him like a human shield. Nope, he totally didn’t do that.

Woohyun knelt down, and scooped Namu up in his arms. Then he turned to Sunggyu with an amused grin.

“The beast has been detained your majesty~” He exclaimed dramatically, while bowing.

Sunggyu could only roll his eyes in annoyance.

*

Sunggyu offered to drive Woohyun to the Rose palace, since it would be easier to take Namu in his car, rather than a taxi or bus. Plus Woohyun demanded that Sunggyu not work on any progress reports without him, so it wasn’t like the older teacher had anything to do anyways.

The car ride was silent and somewhat awkward. At a red light, Sunggyu reached over and the radio, desperately wanting to get rid of the uncomfortable silence.

An upbeat girl group pop song was playing, and Sunggyu instantly changed it.

“Why’d you change it?” Woohyun frowned, Namu peacefully sitting in his lap, nibbling on the rim of his pants pocket. “I like that song.”

Sunggyu snorted. “Still listening to that idol crap?”

“Still listening to that sausage fest, oh sorry I mean band?”

“Nell is amazing!” Sunggyu defended.

“I know you love them.” Woohyun laughed. “But girl groups are great too.”

“I never said I don’t like girl groups.” Sunggyu smirked. “I just don’t like them for their singing abilities, if you know what I mean.”

“You’re horrible.” Woohyun chuckled.

“As if you don’t think about that.”

“Why would I?” Woohyun’s voice lowered an octave, the atmosphere suddenly turning serious again. “I only thought of you.”

Sunggyu cleared his throat and focused his eyes on the road.

“Liar.” He muttered.

“I’m not lying.”

“Then what about that princess that you apparently slept with?” Sunggyu frowned.

“That’s because I couldn’t forget about you.” Woohyun admitted, quite shamelessly. “I…had to imagine she was you.”

“Oh.” Sunggyu bit his lip, to stop himself from smiling. He knew it wasn’t something he should particularly be feeling happy about. But the idea that Woohyun couldn’t stop thinking about him even during such an intimate act with someone else. Well he certainly felt flattered. And more than that, he felt relieved. That despite every thing, Woohyun still treasured him. Those thoughts comforted Sunggyu more than he realized.

*

“Ah Sunggyu-sshi, Woohyun-sshi!” The Rose Queen greeted the two, as soon as they stepped into the palace.

“Your Majesty.” Woohyun bowed politely, while Sunggyu folded his arms, refusing to bow to the stupid queen.

“I was just on my way to a tea party with the Daisy Queen.” The Rose Queen smiled, and then muttered under her breath. “That .”

“Uh…excuse me?” Woohyun questioned.

“Oh, no it’s nothing~” The Rose Queen sang, and waltzed away.

“She’s not even curious as to why and how we just randomly got in?” Sunggyu sighed. “A robber or someone dangerous could easily walk in.”

“No, that’s just because I come here quite often.” Woohyun explained as he guided Sunggyu down a grand hall, covered in gold printed wallpaper and vibrant red carpeting. “You know, because of Myungsoo.”

“Oh, right.” Sunggyu nodded. “But how do you know him anyways?”

“Why does everyone keep asking that?” Woohyun nuzzled his nose in between Namu’s ears.

Sunggyu turned to him and couldn’t help but smile at the adorable sight. “Maybe because, you keep acting like its some big secret?”

“No I don’t.” Woohyun shrugged. “I just don’t understand why it’s anyone’s business.”

Sunggyu stopped in his steps, causing Woohyun to pause and turn.

“But…it is my business. You know that right?”

Woohyun rolled his eyes. “Yeah, because you’re his teacher, and favoritism, and blah, blah, blah.”

“Yah.” Sunggyu frowned. “Myungsoo…is he…what does he think you two are?”

Woohyun sighed. “It’s really nothing like that. He’s too innocent for that.” He explained as they reached Myungsoo’s bedroom door. “He’s like a small child in a grown up’s body…” Woohyun trailed off, pausing in the open door way.

“Why aren’t you going in?” Sunggyu asked, and peered over Woohyun’s shoulder to see what it was that made the younger stop like that.

Suddenly Sunggyu’s throat went dry and his stomach felt like it had just been stabbed.

Myungsoo looked up when he saw the two hovering in the doorway.

“Ah, Woohyun hyung.” He waved, gesturing them over, to sit with him and the other person he was with.  He looked to the older man sitting across from him, and turned to Woohyun and Sunggyu. “What’re you doing standing there?”

Woohyun gulped, turning to Sunggyu.

The man sitting with Myungsoo stood up, dusting his trousers, before turning to Woohyun and smiling.

“Woohyun-ah,” He grinned. “What’re you doing? Aren’t you going to come over here and give your hyung a hug?”
