Shinhye groan, it had been a long day for her, hongki is away, she is with his cousin who happened to be her

“ex-boyfriend” who is now, her “husband” allegedly. She sat up and rested her back on the board above her bed. She

sighed and smiled. “you can face this Shinhye, you are Ms. Perfect right?” she said. Her inner monologue is cut with the

aroma filling the unit. It smells delicious. Glance at the alarm clock on her bedside table. It’s only 6 am, she is not needed in

the station until 10 am. She unconsciously stood up and followed the delicious aroma, its coming from the kitchen. “oh

good you’re up. Good Morning”  shinhye suddenly opened her eyes. She didn’t know how she got there in the kitchen with

her half closed eyes, but hearing his voice, yonghwa voice made her woke up in her reverie. There he is, on her apron,

putting the breakfast on her small dining table. “hope you don’t mind. The jet lag is kicking in and I can’t sleep thoroughly,

so I just decided to cook breakfast.” He said while pouring some coffee in her cup. A smile creeps into his face while doing

it. “you still use this huh?” he said placing the cup on her side of the table. How can he still remember it? Her favorite mug.

“ah deh, well it was a gift so…” “yeah, how can I forget, I give it to you” he said and turn away from her to get the other plate

with the eggs and ham. She was surprise when he placed a cup of steaming rice infront of her. “you still love having rice for

breakfast?” he asked with a smile. “no, I’m always busy so I don’t have time to cook in the morning” she said, not wanting to

meet his eyes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

After breakfast she insisted on washing the dishes. Still haunted with the happenings earlier. He cooked for her, he

remembered everything about her during breakfast, how many times did they have breakfast together back then? “once”

her mind replied. She finished the dishes and went straight to her room to get ready for work. Wearing her usual clothes to

work, black pants, white button down shirt and black blazer, she tied her dried hair into a bun, wore her glasses and went

out. “you know you look like a pre school principal in that clothes. She was surprise to see yonghwa standing in front of her

door, looking so dashing in his blue suit. The DJ she met in LA is long gone now. “wh-why are you standing there?” she

mentally cursed herself, why is she stammering. “I thought you ended up sleeping again,” he said “I’m always on time” she

said and walk passed by him, she stop when she reached the living room area. She turned to face him, she saw him

smirking.  That woke the irritation again. “why are you smirking Mr. Jung?” he chuckled. “notning Mrs. Jung” he . “I

am not…” “well we are legally married, so you are Mrs. Jung” he said matter of fact-ly. She sighed and didn’t answer back

instead “ I just have to drop you there right?” she asked. He nod. “and fetch me after work” her eyes widen she can see that

he is amuse with what is happening, now she is confuse, didn’t they just agreed last night that they don’t like this set up,

them being married supposedly.  Why is that she is seeing him liking and being happy with this? Is she just imagining it?

She doesn’t know. Shinhye tried to shrug the ideas that’s entering her mind now.  “I will be finishing late at the studio.. we

are filming the new years special performances” she said. He furrowed his brows. Then he smile again. “I will go to the

station instead. I can..” “no” she cut him immediately. “why?” he asked. “they may gossip about..” “I am hongki’s cousin, I bet

they all know him, just introduce me as that, or if you want you can tell them that we are married…” “no of course not! I

wont do that” she blurted. He nod. “figures, come on, let’s go, I don’t want to be late on my first day at work” he said and

smirked naughtily and headed to the front door. “what’s with him that keeps me getting nervous?” she asked herself a hand

over her heart.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Yonghwa didn’t do much at the office, he just went there, sign some papers, review some business related documents and

sat there all day, his mind is wandering about what really happen on the past year, how come, they ended married. “we

were never gone to vegas…” he then stopped. He swiftly took his phone out of his pocket and check his phone. He recall the

date that’s on the marriage certificate.June 28, then there it is, how can he missed it. He visited a friend in Vegas that time..

it all came back to his memory again..

 

 

“why don’t we just get married tonight?” she asked.

 

 

 

 

 

“amusement park?” shinhye asked. He thought she might like it, for a first date he really wanted to bring his girlfriend into

an amusement park, It’s really not he was hoping since the amusement park he pick is not as extravagant as the one in

Korea. Lotte World. He said to himself before that he will bring his girl to that place. To make wonderful memories together.

Shinhye took off the helmet and look around then face him. “its not that, I just thought you will bring me in a fancy

restaurant, a library something other than this” she said waving her hands all over. “well I was hoping to have fun not to

sulk missy” he said. She rolled her eyes and turned her back on him, she started walking towards the entrance. He chuckled.

She is still a snob. But he is happy that he can spend time with her, even for just a moment, even just for pretend.

 

 

 

 

 

Shinhye didn’t know what happen but she ended up enjoying her time here, she never skip classes before, it is the first time

she did this and she is thankful to this guy sitting beside her. He help her forget what happen today, earlier. She can’t face

jonghyun, not now, even in class, she opted to seat far from their usual sitting arrangement. She didn’t want to be the

pathetic girl infront of him, so as much as possible she avoided him. Good thing that whenever she is feeling down, this guy

her “boyfriend” is always there to cheer her up. “what’s next?” he asked her, she smiled, for the first time in their two weeks

pseudo romance, she smile genuinely at him, she notice him stiffed, but then a smile formed in his face. “there, you know

you look a lot better when you smile.” That made some tingling feeling inside her heart.

 

 

 

 

 

Weeks past, shinhye realized that this guy is not that bad after all, they became friends, him being her shock absorber is

really wonderful for her. She can’t thank him enough; she found a new friend in him her pseudo boyfriend yonghwa. “earth

to shinhye!” her thoughts were disturbed by cho’s loud call. “yes?” she face her. She saw cho shook her head but the

amusement  in her face is very noticeable. “stop thinking of you boyfriend for a while and listen to what I’m about to tell

you” cho said excitedly. She turn to face Cho fully. “you ready?” she asked. Shinhye nod with a smile, but she doesn’t quite

understand why her heart is so wary. “Jonghyun and I are moving in together” cho blurted. Suddenly it felt like her world

stopped spinning it crushed her heart, to power. She look at Cho who is still talking but she cannot hear any of it, “shin

your phone” Cho pats her shoulder, shinhye hurriedly answer her phone, “yoboseyo?” she answered. “hello? Shin? it is

cindy,”“oh cindy, what’s up?” she asked unconsciously. “well, since you have your break now and I was planning to go for a

trip, I was wondering if you could join me” “sure” she replied. She didn’t want to think at the moment, everything seems to

fall apart, she needed a breather, a trip sound alright for her. “you are going somewhere?” Cho asked her after she ended

the call, “yeah” she tried to sound enthusiastic about it. “yes, cindy asked me to go somewhere” “but I will be moving out this

week” cho said. She mentally cursed herself why can she move on already. “I will visit you on your new home once I get

back” Cho nod.  She is still unaware with the tension between her and jonghyun. “how about your boyfriend?” “we broke up

already” she blurted. Before Cho could talk, someone called her, Cho looked at her sympathetically and mouthed  “talk to

me soon” shinhye just nod. She sighed and look up. She took her phone and type in a message.

 

 

 

 

“I can’t finish the deal, let’s end it. We are now officially breaking up”

 

 

 

 

She send it to yonghwa, but why did she fell so empty after sending that message. She shook her head and stood up. “think

nothing rather that your trip shinhye. It will be fun” she reminded herself and decided to cut class again, “heck, it’s the last

day anyway” she said, cindy and her will be driving later tonight.
