“what you’re cancelling our wedding? But why? Haven’t we decided on this? Come on, tell me what did I do wrong this time? I’ll fix it, let’s

talk”  hongki is fuming on the phone. All is set for his wedding. Him and suzy had been together for 3 years now, he knew that she is the

one he wants to spend his whole life with and as far as he knows that’s what she thinks too. But he is wrong. Suzy cancelled on him on the

very last minute of their supposed to be wedding. “Hongki, you have to understand, this opportunity might not come again, you know I

wanted to be a theater actress and this is the big break that I’ve been waiting for. Can you please be supportive with my decision this

time?” hongki can’t believe what he is hearing. He knows that she dreamt of becoming a broadway star, but cancelling their wedding is

unacceptable. “you can still go there after we got married Suzy, please don’t do this to me” hongki tried hard not to sound so desperate

but he failed. He loves her so much, it was love at first sight for him. They’ve met during his freshman year in college, she is the blind date

his friend set him up with, she is still in highschool then but they’ve hit it off, since then they became a couple with just a month of

courting.they made sure that their relationship is kept private. Hongki agreed because her parents are strict; though they live in L.A,   her

parents practice the values of their heritage. It’s not until they’ve reached their 2^nd year anniversary that they finally told her parents.

Hongki didn’t have the hard time to please her parents, he got their trust instantly.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 “you know their rules right? Married people can’t proceed to broadway, please hongki try to understand” “don’t you love me anymore?”

he asked. He didn’t want to ask that question because he is afraid that she might say yes, it will be a blow for him. “I do love you.. but..”

suzy replied. “BUT? There, there’s a but… it should be I do, love you period. Suzy we’ve planned this all our lives together, we look forward

to this day, and now with some acting opportunity you’re gonna throw it all away? God, I can’t believe you can be this selfish” hongki

uttered, his voice can’t help but to be higher that earlier, he is trying not to be angry, trying really hard. “Selfish? Me? Do you hear yourself

now hongki, you’re the one who’s being selfish not me” suzy yelled on the other line. “in the first place who wanted this wedding anyway,

isn’t it just you? You always decide on your own, did you think of asking me about this? No, you just tell me, “we will be getting married,

go to Vegas” Hongki, I am still young, I want to prove that I am worthy to this world. I want to experience to have achieve something I

want”hongki chuckled bitterly. “so this is all my fault now, I am here waiting for my bride to show up, but she’s a no show because she

wanted to be an actress, I thought you love me, I was wrong” hongki’s words hurt suzy “I can’t believe after all those years, I still don’t

know you, now, I can see the real you. Goodbye hongki” with that suzy ended the call.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hongki decided to go back to Seoul that night, the wedding is off, he didn’t know where his ex fiancé is. all he can think of is to escape.  He

can’t be mourning, he is right and its her lost. “hongki-ah, you’ll be all good after this” yonghwa his cousin, told him. With everyone in his

family, he is closest to this guy. They’ve in the same age and same view in life. He only asked yonghwa to be there for his wedding and now

that the wedding is off, he asked him to stay and just enjoy the suite he booked for him and Suzy. After telling him that the wedding will

not push through his cousin showed him support. “yeah, I think its better this way”. Hongki replied and went out of the hotel, upon

reaching the lobby, he bumped into someone. “ouch” he heard a girl uttered, her pouch fell on the carpet, making the stuff in it scatter on

the floor. “I’m so sorry” he said. “nah its okay, I got this” he said. Hongki look at the girl, she is pretty, looks like he have seen her before

but he can’t remember. The girl look up and shyly smiled at him. “Hey, Shin, Let’s go” he heard another girl called the girl named shin. She

bowed at him and excuse herself after putting the things inside the pouch. Seeing her smile reminds him of someone he met or probably

seen before. But when he can’t remember a thing he decided to shrug it off and went to the counter to tell the endorsement of the room

to yonghwa. Before he set inside the car that’s waiting for him he sighed. “your lost Suzy.” He said.

 

 

 

 

 

“sir are you sure you wanted to extend your stay here?” “of course, though I’ve finished the deal doesn’t mean I should not enjoy the

city.” Hongki said to his secretary. “about the ticket sir..” hongki’s brows furrowed as he is waiting for his secretary to continue. “the seats

you wanted is already sold out, so, I got this instead” he handed the ticket to hongki. “its okay, if you don’t have anything else to say, you

could go home” hongki’s eyes fixated on the ticket he is holding. How many years has it been? He lost count of it, then a beep from his

computer got his attention. “sir, I got the information you needed” a chat appeared on the screen. He smirked. “okay, send it to me” he

replied. A few minutes more then the screen revealed another message. He can’t help but to smile and shook his head reading the

information he got. “thanks, I’ll get back to you soon, just continue doing your job” he said sternly, trying to suppressed the amusement

in his voice.  “it’s about time to see each other again” he uttered looking at the ticket and the marriage contract the still resting on his table.
