“still nothing from hongki?” yonghwa can’t help to asked shinhye as they are eating breakfast in her condo, its been a week that

yonghwa is staying with her, apparently because of the bomb that exploded infront of them, yonghwa can’t move out there, press

people are still eyeing them, its making her more nervous. Shinhye look up to him and sighed. “nothing, I guess he is mad at me for

this, I mean, if only I am not that stupid back then this couldn’t be happening now. Its all my fault” yonghwa can’t help but to feel

burden as well, he can’t, he doesn’t want to see shinhye looking like that, its just been a week but she looks like she’s being

restless for a month now. “I will try to reach him, he’s probably just busy, or..” “busy that he can’t ask me how am I doing?” yonghwa

just shook his head.  He can see that she’s really affected with how hongki is treating her, he knows hongki probably know it the

next day the news spread here, but even he is worried that hongki is not calling them, he and hongki might be close but most of the

time he is so secretive. “it will be okay, I will contact someone from the new York branch” shinhye sighed. “thank you” she replied

without taking off her eyes on her untouched food. He sighed this time. “shinhye, please eat, you’re making me worry” shinhye look

up and saw the concern in his eyes, the same concern eyes she saw ages ago. “we are suppose to be married, and as a husband it

pains me to see that my wife is slouching there, not eating and losing weight, it’s making me feel like I’m an irresponsible husband.”

 

 

 

 

 

 

“hello?” hongki pick up the phone on his office. “Thank goodness you pick up now” shinhye uttered, she had been calling hongki

nonstop, it’s really bothering her that he is not making an effort to ask her what is really happening. “shinhye?” hongki’s voice

sounded unsure making shinhye feel disappointed. In their 4 years together, it is still like he is unfamiliar with her voice on the

phone, sometimes shinhye feels that they are still the same, Best of Friends. She sighed and closed her eyes to calm herself down.

Last thing she needed right now is a fight from him. “of course, its me, how are you?  I’ve missed you so much” if shinhye cant be

mistaken, its already been a month in 4 days that he stayed in New York. It’s not their first plan but again, hongki always decide on

his own even if it should involved the two of them.  “hey, honey, I’m so sorry that I.. I… ah…” “you forgot about me again right?”

shinhye cant help but to utter. Him forgetting about their anniversary, she can still let it past, but for him to act like that to her, that

she can’t allow. “do you have any idea about what’s happening to me here?” shinhye asked. She tried to tone down her voice but

hurt is strangely evident, she always good at hiding her true feeling but now, she is really hurt. “baby please try to understand, I am

busy” hongki replied. “busy? Your girlfriend turned out to be married to your cousin and now you’re just telling me that your busy?

You know hongki, I never thought of this before but now, I have proven it, you don’t care for me at all” just like that she ended the

call. If only they are using the telephone, she could have drop the phone hardly for him to feel her pain.

 

 

 

 

 

 

“busy? Your girlfriend turned out to be married to your cousin and now you’re just telling me that your busy? You know hongki, I

never thought of this before but now, I have proven it, you don’t care for me at all” yonghwa stopped on his tracks, he was about to

knock on shinhye’s door to call her for dinner, but hearing the cracking voice of shinhye, he can’t help but to grit his teeth and curl

his hand into a fist. Hongki is really doing something alright, he is pushing shinhye away from him. Yonghwa realizing that, felt a

pinch of relief on his heart. He admitted to his self that he really is falling inlove with her, Again. And seeing, hearing her like that it

pains him. He knows shinhye didn’t feel the same back then for she is head over heels to the karate guy, Jonghyun, but still back

then, he wanted to be on her side always. Just like now. “oh” shinhye jumped when she saw yonghwa standing outside her door.

Yonghwa catch the trail of tears on her face. He reach up and wipe the imaginary tears. Shinhye was stunned upon this skinship. He

lips parted in shock. “it’s unlucky if you cry alone” he said shinhye stepped 2 steps back ward. Shinhye instinctively wipe the back of

her hand on her bare face. “says who?” shinhye asked sitting on the couch. “Me, It scares me whenever I see you cry, get hurt and

any others” shinhye scoff, “come on yonghwa, there’s no girl here for you to use that so high school jokes.” She laughed out loud in

mono tone. To her surprise he sit beside her and gave her hand a squeeze.

 

 

 

 

 

 

After eating, yonghwa stood up and to go to his room. “leave the dishes okay, I’ll wash it.” “but you already cooked?” “I’ll just get

something” yonghwa didn’t wait for shinhye’s reply. He went straight to his room and left shinhye sitting there in confusion. After a

few seconds he is back in the dining area with a map. “what is that?” she asked. “a map” he replied with a smile. Shinhye rolled her

eyes, a little smile form on her lips, she knows he is just mocking her. He chuckled. “okay, I just want you to feel relax. We will go out

today.” He simply replied. “bwo?” “go Out” he mouthed. “but I still go things to do in the office and..” “and I talked to seolhyun ssi

already, she’ll handle everything today, come on, you need to relax, you are physically and mentally tired.” He walked towards her,

and took her hand to help her stood up.  “go and prepare, I will wait for you to get ready” shinhye unknowingly nod. Its like she’s

been hypnotized by his pleading stare. Yonghwa smiled at her, “now go, I’ll go wash up to” shinhye didn’t know but she really likes

this, feeling very important, like she didn’t need to exert effort to please him. Being with him, she feels comfortable and relaxed.

 

 

 

 

 

 

“where are we going?” shinhye asked as yonghwa guided her to sit on the passenger seat this time. “are you sure you can take the

wheel this time?” she asked again. Yonghwa rolled his eyes, “I told you I want you to relax, I know how to drive and believe me, I

already mastered the streets here, no need to worry wifey, just sit back and relax, and enjoy your hubby’s company” he beamed her

a smile which made her heart skip a beat. She can’t help but to smile to see her crocked tooth from the side. She doesn’t know but

she thinks it’s what makes his smile perfect. Yonghwa pats her head when he caught her smile. Yonghwa moved on the the driver

side and faced her. “you forgot these” shinhye literally held her breath when he leans towards her and buckled up her. “there” he

turned to her and their faces are just an inch away. His eyes widen as hers and he sat straight clearing his throat. “sorry about that”

he said, shinhye cant help but to giggled seeing his red face. “kwenchana, I think we needed that, look straight” she said, there

yonghwa saw two photographers snapping some pictures of them. “really? Even here in your building’s parking lot? I thought you are

a celebrity?” he asked. Shinhye smiled and turn to face him. “I am still a public figure, everything I do is being watch, it’’s not easy

being a young CEO, there are a lot of pressures. You’re right I need this going out day” she said. He smile and pats her head again.

“you’re going to enjoy this” he said and started the engine. Shinhye look straight too, she needs to look away from him, she warily

puts a hand over her heart. “again?” she talked to herself.
