Shinhye looked at yonghwa, they stop for a while for him to examine the map. She cant help but to smile seeing his concentrating

face. “you know we could use the GPS” he shook his head still looking in the map. “I want to do this manually” he said. Shinhye was

impressed. Even though yonghwa lived in the US all his life, as far as she knows, he is still hesitant to use modern technology to

make things easy. She remembered while they are still playing a couple, he always give her letters and stuff that is written, he rarely

uses his phone to message her. She chuckled and shook her head. “why?” yonghwa saw shinhye nod after a low chuckle. Shinhye

looked at him, “nothing, I just realized you are still the same, I mean, you really neglect the technology that’s already in front of

you.” “huh?” he asked a bit confused on what shinhye is saying. “I’ll tell you later, but for now, tell me where are we going and I’ll

put it on the GPS” she said .”no need!” he beamed a smile again. “I already know how to get there” “really?” shinhye raised and an

eyebrow on him. Totally not believing him. “really, trust me on this honey” shinhye got stunned with the endearment. He started to

drive again. Sure hongki used that to her so many times but hearing it coming out from yonghwa is sounded more sincere, and

lovingly. Her heart beats faster again. “no it can’t be” she whispered. “saying something honey?” yonghwa asked still eyes on the

road. “huh? Uhm… its nothing” she looked outside her window.

“where am I?” shinhye groaned, “hey, what happen to you?” shinhye sat up when she recognized the voice, “cindy?” she uttered,

“of course who else, I found you sitting outside our hotel room, you’re totally wasted girl, I was surprised that you get back here in

one piece” cindy uttered. “oh, I don’t…” “yeah, you don’t know, well we have to get ready, I was being force to go back to L.A by

my mom, saying its important,  gosh! I am still getting the hang of it, but,, grr, let’s just go. I’m not in the mood to stay anymore.”

Shinhye nod while following every movement cindy is making. She didn’t know how she got back, she cant even remember what

really happen last night, she just sat on the bar, and drink, she frown, “yonghwa?” she whispered, its all blurry but she is thinking

that she saw yonghwa last night. “what? Why are you looking for him, didn’t you two broke up already?” cindy asked. Shinhye told

cindy the “break up story during their drive there. “I just.. did you see him last night?” shinhye asked. Cindy put down her travel bag

and face shinhye, “no, tell me are you that in love with him that you are hallucinating?” cindy asked. Shinhye faintly smile and shook

her head. “yeah that’s stupid, well maybe I drank too much that my mind is not functioning well” shinhye uttered.  Cindy chuckled.

“get up and drink your coffee, I’m impressed that you are not having hang over now”.

Weeks past, shinhye decided to find another place to rent since the place they got is so big for her now, and she wanted to avoid

yonghwa. Cho and Jonghyun told her that they are transferring to another school, she realized that she is not that much affected

with jonghyun as much as before, “okay Cho, just let me know how are you doing there okay? Canada is so far from here, I can’t just

drive to see you” Cho giggled. “shin, don’t worry I have jonghyun I’ll be alright, I am worried about you, you’re alone, plus you and

yonghwa broke up..” “I’m fine really, I better go, call you again some other time, be good okay?” shin reminded Cho, she smiled at

least Cho is very much happy with jonghyun, she looked around the mall and saw a familiar figure eating inside an ice cream shop.

Her heart skipped a beat, seeing him smiling, her eyes move to where he is giving that smile, it was like all her excitement seeing

him was drained out of her system, she admitted to herself that this guy, yonghwa, had already been a part of her like with their

pseudo realationship, they guy is not hard to like, he is a perfect gentleman, kind, and understanding, no woman can’t fall in love

with him. “no shin, you just like him as a friend” she convinced herself, but the fact that he is smiling to another girl, hurt her. She

turned and just walk, she doesn’t have the energy to watch it, “no I don’t love him, I just miss his company, but I don’t love him.”

Shinhye assured herself.

“hey” shinhye squinted her eyes when the ray of the sun beamed on her face. “I slept?” she asked herself aloud. “yeah, well, I told

you I could get us here, here we are, one of Busan’s famous beaches” he said.  Shinhye look outside and laughed, “why?” he asked.

Shinhye pointed on the windshield. “oh man” yonghwa bumped his head on the steering wheel. It started raining, the ray of sun

entering shinhye’s window is now gone. “but.. but…” “weather’s unpredictable genius” she joked.  Yonghwa groaned. “I wanted to

walk on the beach because you told me then that you love the feeling of the sand on your feet. But it rained.. I’m so stupid”

shinhye was taken aback hearing that  he still remembered that something she told him while they are playing a couple. She placed a

hand over his shoulder. “its okay, I love watching the rain, its relaxing too” she said. To her surprise yongwa took her hand and put it

on his cheek. “I’m so sorry, I should have plan a better one” his sincerity made her smile. She placed another hand on his other

cheek. “Its okay, I told you, I love the rain too, remember when we had a date on the park and we ended up soaked with the sudden

rain too, I enjoyed it.  He smiled, before shinhye knows it, he already cut the distance between them and kissed her lips, ever so

lightly, like the feel of the air-conditioning inside the car. Shinhye didn’t realize that she is already kissing him back, a few seconds

later, they part and catch their breath, a tear fell from her eye and yonghwa reached for it and dry it up using his thumb. He pulled

away “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to.. I’m sorry,” he said. Shinhye didn’t know what to say, her heart is racing, while looking at

yonghwa’s embarrassed face looking straight, she placed a hand on her heart, feeling every beat of it. She cant believe that she

actually kiss him back, but she had no regrets, for her, it was like , his lips is made for hers at that moment. Nothing else matters.

But hearing him saying sorry, she felt hurt. “am I in love with him?” she asked herself.
