“what is the meaning of this?” shinhye throw the marriage certificate to yonghwa. She went home early to talk to him. “what

is it?” he pick up the paper that’s been lying on the floor now. “explain it to me” she blurted. She wanted to keep her cool

but that is not acceptable. Truly. He look at it and sighed.  “so you know about this?” she asked angrily. He nod. “how on

earth we end up married?” she asked.  “I don’t know either, I just knew about it 3 months ago, I tend to find you” “you plot

this?” she asked. “hell no!” he got his eyes widen. He can’t believe that she will think like that of him. “I just got to bump with

the judge who officiated our so-called wedding 3 months ago, at first I didn’t believe it, come on, we are drunk that night

and it is night time, we are not in vegas “ shinhye get the marriage certificate from his hand. Truly, the date was when the

night they met for the first time. “this is insane” she blurted sitting or more like slumping herself on the single sitter sofa.

“otokaji?” she asked. Yonghwa look at her and bit his lower lip, she stood up instantly, “we should get divorce!” she said

with wide eyes, yonghwa seeing her reaction wanted to laugh. He doesn’t know if she is convincing herself or him.

 

 

 

 

 

“bwo? She asked, she got irritated seeing yonghwa trying hard to suppress his laughter. “this situation is no laughing

matter Mr. Jung” she hits him in the head. Yonghwa’s eyes widen in surprise, “you hit me?” he asked still stunned with her

sudden closeness feel. He remembered the short relationship they had years back. Shinhye cursed herself. This guy really

brings out her bad side.

 

 

 

“yah! Why don’t you leave me alone?” shinhye wanted to leave as soon as she gathered her things and changed into her

clothes. She’s not that stupid to play games, she’s just drunk and it’s a mistake that she asked that DJ to be her

boyfriend.”you are my girlfriend I should bring you home, I still got my gentleman values you know” he said with a smirk.

Shinhye glared at him. “getleman? Huh?” she mocked. “wae? Just because you ended up in my room, doesn’t mean I

did something to you” yonghwa blurted making shinhye shock and embarrass she hurried to cover his mouth. “yah! You’re

so loud!” “shinhye?” shinhye froze hearing that voice, she slowly turn to face the familiar owner, “jonghyun oppa” she said

with a hint of shock, embarrassment and curiosity, “why is he here?” she asked herself. She look around and recognize the

place, it’s where jonghyun’s apartment is. Seeing the confuse look on his face she look down, did he heard her? “hey

neighbor” yonghwa broke the silence. She look up to see him smiling like there’s no tension there. To add her shock he

placed his arm over her shoulder. “you know my girlfriend?” shinhye cant believe that this guy is so into the boyfriend

girlfriend thing that happen just last night but seeing him so confident even her is fooled. She tried to remove his hand but

he tighten it. “girlfriend?” jonghyun look at shinhye confuse, how did that happen over night? “jagiya!” shinhye eyed then

move to the door that suddenly opened, revealing her cousin, Choah.  Her stare move to jonghyun who is looking at cho

lovingly. Shinhye laugh bitterly inside, “once again, Choah got it” she said,  “omo! Shin? Why are you here? And who?...”

“jung yong hwa imida, shin’s boyfriend, officially last night” Cho rushed to her and hugged her, “look at that, we both have

a boyfriend now, jonghyun oppa confessed last night, isn’t it amazing, shin?” shinhye felt that Cho is really happy, and she

liked it, though she is hurting she pats cho’s back, and smiled. “I am happy for you” she said.

 

 

 

 

 

 

“you know I hate complications” she said looking straight to yonghwa who is standing by the sliding glass door towards the

veranda. He is looking straight at her which made her feel awkward and look down again. “ara” he said. Shinhye look up

and suddenly her heart felt like with the sound of voice hinted sadness. Looking at his eyes, she felt the sadness, she shrug

the pity feeling, this guy just brought troubles to her. She can’t feel remorse towards him, “what’s there to feel sad for? They

are just a pretend couple back then” she thought.

 

 

 

 

 

“you finally agreeing to it? I mean of course, you ask me to be your boyfriend last night” yonghwa smiled widely looking at

shinhye, she just stare at him with poker face. “yah! I told you I was drunk, I don’t do things on impulse, again this is a

mistake, but, we are already in it. We are a couple in their eyes.” Shinhye paused seeing the hurt look in his face but she

shrug it off. “why don’t just tell them then?” he asked. There it is again, he sounded hurt. Maybe she hurt his ego or

something, that’s what shinhye instill in her head. “simple, I don’t do mistakes” she replied confidently. He chuckled

mockingly. “really? I beg to disagree, considering you ended up asking me to be your boyfriend.” Shinhye gave him a death

glare. “I am not a violent person but I could kill you right here, right now” she uttered gritting her teeth. “3 months” she

uttered after a few minutes of silence. “bwo?” yonghwa asked. She stood up and walk back and forth in yong’s living room.

“3 months, yes, right, let’s pretend that we are a couple for 3 months max.” she said smiling. “why are you doing this?

Really? Is it because of that guy?” yonghwa suddenly asked. Shinhye frown and look away, yonghwa sighed. “okay, not

today, let’s stop the discussion today. I agree” shinhye can’t believe what she is hearing. “really?” she looks at yonghwa, with

a sly smile he nod. Shinhye smiled “komawo” she uttered, yonghwa faced the veranda again. “it’s nothing, so, I’ll bring you

home now” “ani, I can manage, thanks for the offer though” before yonghwa could talk again he heard the front door open

and close. He sighed. “just my luck”.

 

 

 

 

 

“what do you have in mind?” he asked shinhye, she rubs her temple thinking. “we can’t file it here, as I can see, we are

married in the US, we cant go there because we are busy, do you have anyone who can help us?” shinhye glance at yonghwa

“I have an attorney friend but he is working with hongki now” shinhye shook her head. “that cant do, hongki cant know this”

yonghwa smirked bitterly and took the magazine on the coffee table. “oh, I still got a lawyer friend, but…” yonghwa paused

making shinhye look at him. “but what?” shinhye asked. He sighed, shinhye saw him pinching his thigh, something she

notice he does when he is nervous. “we broke up because of this” yonghwa said pointing at the marriage certificate. “isn’t it

more of a good reason for her to help us?” shinhye asked, she eyed yonghwa curiously.  He rubs his forehead, showing he

is thinking hard, another thing shinhye notice when they are still playing pretend. “I’m kinda wanted to be out of the

relationship, so, this came as a good way to end it” yonghwa said.  Shinhye groaned and harshly lean her head on the sofa.

“what now, I don’t want to ask someone from my side, I can’t be… “ “be in a complicated situation, well guess what, whether

you like it or not, you are IN a COMPLICATED situation”  yonghwa emphasize the word “In” and “complicated” “this will not

happen if we..” “hey you wanted to play pretend not me… I thought .. this…” he groaned, “never mind, I will think of a way,

just for tonight let’s rest, I still need to report to the company early tomorrow, and I am hoping you will bring me there”

yonghwa said. Shinhye sighed “arasso, we will finish this tomorrow, alright I’ll drive you there, goodnight” “you didn’t eat

yet” he tired to stop her, “I don’t have the appetite to eat, goodnight” with that yonghwa was left there eyes fixed on

shinhye’s close door. He sighed and shook his head. “pabo” he uttered.

well, that's if I will got a job, but with or without a job, I am certain that I have to see them in a concert.
