“Daehyun and Jaekyung’s birthday is approaching.” Mrs Kim announced excitedly.
Jongup was taking no interest.
“So what are your plans?” she asked.
“I didn’t know Daehyun’s birthday is also on the 28th of June.” Your mom said.
*Great. They have the same birthdates. They are soul mates. Whatever. Let’s have a party.* Jongup thought bitterly.
“Uhm...anything you’d like to do will be fine with me.”  You said.
“Why us? It should be something you and Daehyun would like to do. What about you Daehyun?”  your mom said.
“I guess we’ll just talk about it.”
In your room
*How am I suppose to say it to Daehyun? Our birthday is approaching. I can’t hurt him.* you thought as tears are falling on your cheeks.
*Knock knock.* The door already opened.
“Jaekyung-ah! Why are you crying?” Daehyun sat beside you. You wiped your tears away.
“A-aniyo. I’m not.” You looked away.
“If you have any problem, I’m here to listen.”  He was about to kiss you when you looked away.
“I want to tell you something.” You said.
“What is it?” There was a moment of silence.
“Jaekyung? What is it?”
“I want us to be back as friends...in the meantime..”
“I already am your friend.”
“I mean...you were my boyfriend, right? Then I got my memory back. That’s when everything became a mess.”
“Why ‘in the meantime’? Does that mean our friendship is just temporary then I’ll be back as your boyfriend?” he joked. The both of you laughed.
“This is what I like about you. You can still joke around in this kind of serious situation.” You smiled.
“I’m not Jung Daehyun for nothing. I understand you, ok? Don’t be bothered so much about this. You don’t have to rush. Smile. Like you were. Happy.”
“Thank you. Really.” *Daehyun and Jongup are really different from each other. This makes more hard for me to pick.*
“You’ve told this to Jongup, right? What did he say?”
“He looks like he can’t accept it. I feel so guilty. He’s so hurt. Especially when I gave our engagement ring back.”
“What?! You gave it back!?”
“Yes. I want to be fair.”  Daehyun was completely in shock. “Why?” you asked.
“This is all my fault. You shouldn’t have done that. That must have really hurt him.”
“Don’t blame yourself. I’m sure he can understand what I’m going through right now. I hope.”
“Jongup and I will be waiting. We’ll respect your decision. In my case, I’ll be happy wherever you are happy.”
“Thank you so much, Jung Daehyun.” You gave him a hug. “Promise me. You two won’t ever fight.”
“I promise. It’s getting late. Go to sleep. Jalja~” he was about to kiss you again when you stopped him.
“Oh yeah, right. I forgot. Sorry.” He said.
“It’s alright. Jalja~”

The next morning....
“Himchan-oppa!!!!!!!” you shouted. Himchan woke up right away.
“What? Why? What happened?” he asked.
“What are you doing here in my room?” you raised a brow.
“You scared the hell out of me. I thought something happened.”
“Why did you sleep here?”
“I was alone in my room last night. I was scared.”
“Where was Jongup?”
“I don’t know either. He left right after we had dinner. He hasn’t comeback up until now. I don’t where that guy slept.”
“WHAT?!” you hurriedly got up and went out to look for Jongup.
You have gone to several places but still can’t find him. You suddenly remembered where he always goes when he has problems: Dance Studio.
“I was right. You’re here.”
“How’d you know I’m here?” he asked.
“This is the only place where you go when you want to be alone.”
“I’m glad you can still remember.” There was a moment of silence.
“How are you with Daehyun? What are your plans on your birthday?” he asked bitterly.
“Why are you being like this? I told you, you’re both fair to me.”
“I love you so much that’s why I’m being like this. I thought everything will be alright once you got your memory back.”
“Jongup...alot of things have happened to me. I want to start a new life. I hope you understand me.”
He started crying again. “Yes, I was your fiancée but my memory was lost. It wasn’t my fault that it happened. My mind is in a mess right now. Please let me think about this.” You, too, cried and left. You saw Yongguk outside but you ignored him and went home.
 “Hey, bro. What happened? Why are you both crying?”
“We’re done.”
“You’re what? Why?”
“Because of Daehyun..”
“She chose Daehyun?”
“No..I mean..ARGH~ I don’t know to myself why I keep blaming Daehyun. No. She didn’t. She wants the three of us to stay friends in the meantime.”
“You’re so dramatic...haha..just kidding..Anyway, nothing will happen to you if you keep acting like this. You know what happened to her so why can’t you just understand her? What you need to do is, prove to her that you’re the right person for her. I’m sure Daehyun’s doing his best to do that. And you too, you have to show your best. You have to accept reality, one is really going to get hurt and I hope you are not that one. And whoever she chooses, both of you should accept it. Don’t fight. We’re friends. Childhood bestfriends.” He advised. “Phew~ that speech was long. I can’t believe I said that. I’m really amazing.” He bragged. Jongup laughed at his statement and started to think deeply.
“Yeah, hyung. You’re right. I’ll do whatever it takes to bring her back. I’ll prove it to her.”
“What if she chooses Daehyun? You’ll take drugs? Kill yourself? What?” Yongguk joked.
“No. I won’t ever do that.”
“Really? When we all thought she died, you drank almost 20 bottles a day.” Yongguk reminded him.
“I won’t do that. Again. I have to accept whatever her decision will be. Plus, Daehyun and I already talked about this. But I hope she chooses me.”
“Keep your faith, Jongup.”
“Thanks, hyung. A lot.” He gave Yongguk a hug.
