I woke up the next morning, feeling more than a little aggrivated.

Last night was the icing on the cake.

Kyuhyun was treating me like a stranger, and it seemed like Henry was supporting him in this.

I begrudgingly heaved the warm covers off of my body, and swung my legs over the side of the bed.

My body followed suit soon after, and I shuffled my way to the bathroom, grabbing my towel on the way.

Why bother....

Peppa' had leapt off the bed, and followed me to the bathroom, like every morning.
He waddled along by my feet, and bit at the towel, trying to coax me into a game of tug of war.

This little guy knew how to cheer me up.

"Not now baby...I'm not in the mood.." I said softly, pulling at the towel.

He pulled a little harder, and it jerked away from my hands.

"Come on Peppa! not now please....I'll be late for school!"

He just shook the towel between his teeth, and took off running around my bedroom.

For the love of God!

Half an hour later, when I'd managed to force the towel out of the dogs mouth, with the promise of some bacon for breakfast......I jumped into the shower.

I scrubbed my hair furiously, feeling more agitated than earlier on.

What's going on here?

A few weeks ago, everything was perfect....now it's gone sour!

Am I losing the plot or something?

My brain just couldn't grasp the situation.

I'd taken virtually no time at all to get ready this morning.

I pulled a pair of jeans on, and grabbed the first jumper I found.

It just so happened to be one of Kyuhyun's...

It smelt just like him, and I savoured it, as I pulled the gentle material up to my nose.

Peppa' had waited patiently for me, with his tongue lolling out of the side of his mouth.

I scooped down, and picked him up, tucking him under my arm, as I made my way downstairs to the kitchen.

I thudded down each step, loudly.
I really was in a bad mood today!

As I reached the last step, I let a wriggling Peppa' jump out of my arms, and run to the kitchen.

I could hear my mum giggling as he ran in.

"Good morning my darling!..." She sang cheerily.

"Morning." I said bluntly.

"Well, well...someone got up on the wrong side of the bed this morning!"

I just scowled, and poured some cereal into a bowl.

My mother just sighed lightly, and began feeding Peppa' for me.

I sat staring off into space, shovelling spoonfuls of some overly sweet cereal into my mouth, dreading the idea of another day in the dark.

"Are you going to tell me what the matter is?"

My mother's voice broke through my stream of thought.

"There's nothing to tell." I grunted.

I pushed my chair back, and grabbed the bowl roughly from the table.

My mother just clutched her cup of coffee, and sat at the now vacant table.

I placed my dish in the sink, and turned, resting my back against the counter top.
My mother kept her eyes on me, but I didn't want to talk.

"You seem a bit distant baby, what's up?" She asked softly.

I scoffed as she said this.

"That's exactly why I'm acting like this!"
"Kyuhyun is treating me like the plague..." I said quietly.

She beckoned me over with her hand, and patted the seat I'd just left.
I reluctantly slunk over, and sat on the edge of it.

"I assume you've confronted him about it?" She asked.
"I tried...I really did!...he just seems to be avoiding me!..even Henry is avoiding talking to me much..."

"Henry?...you do surprise me!...he called not long ago to say he'd be taking you to school." he said slightly confused.

Why is he picking me up now?...

"Did he say why?" I asked, slightly taken aback.

"No honey, he just said to tell you!"

"Oh...o-kay.." I said dejectedly, lowering my head.

My mum scooted her seat closer to mine, and wrapped her arms around me.
"Oh Minnie!...I'm sure it's nothing....it's probably just something he needs to sort out!"

The door bell rang.

I shrugged out of my mums arms, and repeated the same action as before, only this time, I grabbed my hat, mittens, and scarf.
"Bye mum...thanks." I whispered.

I briskly made my way to the front door, pulling my wooly accessories on.
As I left the house, I nearly ran into Henry, who was stood with his back to the door.

"Hiya Min!" he tried, happily.
"I'm not speaking to you!" I barked.
"But....you just did..?" he said skeptically.
"From now onnnnnn!" I whined childishly.

Henry just laughed, and shook his head, opening the car door.

I got in, and settled myself, staring out of the window.

I did however have to brace myself as we drove off.

I'd forgotten how fast Henry was!....Kyuhyun drove alot slower for me.

"Are you still not talking to me?" Henry enquired, turning the radio down low.
I just gave him the silent treatment.
"How's Peppa'?" She tried.
I went to speak, but caught myself quickly.
Sneaky!

"Oh come on Min!...you can't still be mad about last night!...I did really have to go!" he urged.

Silence.

"You're telling me...there isn't anything you want to talk about?"

I gave what he said a thought!

"Why isn't Kyuhyun picking me up like usual?" I croaked out, in a dry voice.

His smile dropped quickly, and he shifted a little uncomfortably in his seat.
His hands wrapped a little tighter around the steering wheel, as he clenched his teeth together.

"Why?...isn't my company good enough?" he said, trying to evade the question.

"You didn't answer my question.."

he kept me waiting a little longer, before finally answering.

"He's err....not going to be in school today..that's all!"

"What do you mean?!" I shouted.
"What I say Sungmin...he's off today." he said calmly.

I began to speak again, but Henry had already gotten us into the school car park, and into a parking space.
Before I could actually speak, he had collected his things and exited the car.

WHAT THE HELL'S GOING ON!

If I get ignored or avoided anymore today, I'm going to blow!

Henry's P.O.V

I hated ignoring Sungmin, and evading all of his questions.
But, I promised Kyuhyun I wouldn't say anything.

A promise is a promise!

Kyuhyun had stayed home today...
He said he couldn't face school, and any questioning from Min.

He needs to be careful!
Sungmin will start to think he doesn't like him anymore.

I ran inside, and caught up with Zhou Mi and the others.
I briefed them on the situation before Min joined us.

They all knew about Kyuhyun....but they could slip up, and say something, so they had to be warned!

And speak of the devil!
Minnie was jogging lightly up to us, hoisting his bag over his shoulder.
"Hiya everyone....you all okay?" he said timidly.

"Yeah...great.. never better!" they chorused over-enthusiastically.
He squinted his eyes a little and scrutinized everyone.

"Riiiiiiight....I'm going to go to my class now...because you're all freaking me out!" He said slowly, and drawn out.

At least he didn't ask any questions!

Sungmin's P.O.V

Everyone was creeping me out!
I decided not to ask questions.
I knew what the outcome would be....and I didn't feel like kicking off at my only friends!

I walked along to my first class....alone with my thoughts!
I kept my head down, as my mind went ten to the dozen...going over any reasoning I could think of, as to why Kyuhyun wasn't in school.

The whole situation was wearing me down....I needed to just confront him....somewhere he couldn't get away from easily.

I rounded a corner, keeping my head down.

Bad move......

SMACK!


I fell to the floor like a sack of potatoes.
My head hit the hard surface painfully, and I began to see white spots.

"Oh Christ!!...are you okay?....I wasn't looking...I didn't see you!"

I blinked my eyes a few times, trying to adjust my eyesight.

I sat upright, and regretted it.
My head was spinning, and I could only make out a blurry figure crouching by my side.

"I think I should take you to the nurse!" The strange, deep voice shouted.

I clutched my head, and shook it.

"I'll be alright...really.. it was my fault too! I didn't see you."
My eyes started to focus a little more now, and I locked my eyes to the figure's face.

Wow....he's....good looking!

I lifted my hand up in the air, and placed it in front of him.

"Help me up?" I asked quietly.

The strange boy smiled, and hoisted me up, while his large hand encased mine.

"I'm Siwon...." He said happily.
"Sungmin.." I gestured.

"Cool name....bit unusual..." he said chuckling.
I giggled a little along with him.

"Looks like I caught you pretty bad there!" He said examining the sore lump on my forehead.

"You sure did!" I said, wincing as he touched it with his fingertips.

Silence....

The last bell rang loudly, interrupting the small silence between us.

"Ooooops..I've made you late now too haven't I?" He said frowning.

"It's okay..I'll use you as my excuse...you're new aren't you?" I said jokingly.

He laughed and slung an arm around my shoulder.

"Good thinking Poppy!"

I laughed as he did this.

"You're strange...I think we'll get along just fine!"

His face lit up as I said this.

"A friend already?!...SCORE.." He said, tightening his arms around my shoulders.
 

I laughed.

This guy was alright with me!...He was random and fun.

"So what class have you got first?....I might as well walk you there."

"Errr....lemme' see..." He scanned a sheet of paper and clicked his tongue.

"Maths!...Booooo" He said scowling.

You're kidding me!...he has the same class as me.

"You're in the same as me then Siwon!...lucky you" I said grinning.

"You serious?!....coooooool...I am lucky!"

A few minutes later, we walked into the maths class.
I say a 'few minutes'......it was more like 15!
The whole class including the teacher, gawped at us as we entered the classroom.
I knew the kids were just sizing up the new meat...aka Siwon!

He just took it in his stride, and waltzed into the room smiling.

The teacher motioned for me to go to him, and I did, reluctantly.

"Do you have any idea what the time is young man?!" He said sharply.

I opened my mouth to speak, but Siwon spoke up first.

"I'm sorry Sir!...I'm new here, and Sungmin was just showing me around...I'm sorry if I've been an inconvenience!"
He was cool and calm through the whole thing.

I wanted to grin so much, but I couldn't.

"That's okay....I can forget it, this time...seeing as how you're new and Mr. Lee was being helpful....take your seats please!"
We both complied, and I searched for my usual seat, next to Zhou Mi.
Siwon followed close behind, smiling.
I reached my seat, and sat down, removing my hat, mittens and scarf, bundling them into my bag.
I turned my attention to Zhou Mi soon after, and found him to be looking closely at me and Siwon.
His face was quite confused, and vacant.

I felt a poke in my side, and looked to my other side, to see Siwon, leaning towards me.
"Does he always look like that?" He whispered.
"No...I don't know what's up with him?.." I replied back quietly.

He just shrugged, and lifted a notepad out, writing some notes down.

I turned back towards Zhou Mi, and saw the same strange look on his face.

I wonder what's up?

The rest of the class flew by.

Siwon had kept me howling laughing, the entire time.

It earned us both a detention, but I didn't care!

I tumbled out of the classroom with Siwon not far behind, as I clutched at my stomach, and tried to compose myself.

My laughter was halted a little as I looked up from my fit.

The whole gang, minus Kyuhyun of course, were stood outside the classroom, looking at me and Siwon like we had two heads.

"Heyyy Min...what's so funny?" Hyuna asked.

"Aww, nothing really..just silly little things!"

Silence!

I could hear Siwon behind me still, and I realised I forgot to introduce him.
"Oh sorry...everybody this is Siwon!"
"Siwon this is everybody" I said happily.

A few introductions were made, and Taemin was the first to speak up afterwards.

"Well..it's really nice to meet you Siwon...you're more than welcome to hang out with us if you'd like?"

"Yeah...plus some of the kids here can be really harsh.. especially if they don't think you fit their 'ideals'." Joon added.

"I'd really like that...thanks.. as long as I'm not imposing or anything?"

"Not at all!" Amber insisted.

Siwon was just beaming....that's what I must've been like on my first day.

The rest of the day went great!
Siwon continued to make me laugh hysterically.
The final bell sounded, after what seemed like the longest day ever!

We all rushed from our seats, pulling on articles of clothing, or shoving bits and pieces into our bags.
We all sat outside for a little while, saying our goodbye's and splitting up, getting into our respective cars.

Zhou Mi and Henry had hung back again to talk quietly, while me and Siwon giggled like school kids.
He was just really silly, and that's what I needed today.
I needed to forget all about my problem with Kyuhyun, and just laugh.

I miss him like crazy though!

Zhou Mi and Henry made their way over to us after a little while, and Zhou Mi said his goobye's before climbing into his car.

He'd bought one...to save the hassle of being picked up and dropped off by Kyuhyun.

Henry stood a little away from me and Siwon.

"Well...I think I better be getting home...don't miss me too much!" He teased.

"See you, and your enormous ego tomorrow Siwon!"

"You can see my ego anytime you like Poppy!" He said, giggling.

What is he insinuating!

I laughed loudly.

Henry scoffed a little and I turned my head in his direction.
Siwon had disappeared behind the other cars now, and it was just me and him.

"Henry....what's up with you!.. you've been like this all day!"

he stared at me blankly, and unlocked his car.

"Get in Min!"
