Alexa sighed heavily. Janus decided to stick with her the whole day just to find out the recent love story of his best friend and now they were walking back to his hotel. It hurts him but the story somewhat made him interested like a gossip girl. He might have seen her unusual glow as well, and he can’t deny that what makes his friend happy, he’d just have to support her.

“Yes, it did. I was also supposed to tutor him but then he refused and passed the exam on his own.”

“So this whole thing is because he likes you, right?”

“I don’t know, but someone was jealous. He might even be furious for you just spend more time with me rather than him. Plus, I think he feels worse now for you just walked me back to the hotel.”

“I hate you and it was all just a deal. We’re going to break up as soon as he fails an exam.” She narrowed her eyes at her best friend, while the boy chuckled at her.

“Oh yeah right, because you shouldn’t agree with him in the first place if you don’t like him.”

“Just shut up and get inside before I kick your .”

“Fine.” Janus reached for her and hugged her tightly. “I’ll go to your school again tomorrow.”

“Alright, but please move on with the Zico thing?”

“Nope. I still can’t believe this kind of stories really happen in real life.”

For the first time that day, Alexa was able to walk all alone in peace. No one’s nagging her to do something for them nor was she forced to smile at all the people passing by her.
