You hear your boyfriend come home before you see him—he’s never really mastered the art of subtlety, no matter how many times he’s tried to sneak up on you, there’s something about the way he walks that you can just pick up on right away.

"Hey baby," you say, your back still turned to him, and he sighs.

"Why do you always catch me?" he asks, and you can hear the pout in his voice as he wraps his arm around you, resting his chin atop your head.

"You’re not exactly the most subtle person in the world," you tease, tilting your head up to look at him. "How was your day?"

He shrugs, biting his bottom lip a bit. “It was okay. I’m just kinda tired.”

You can tell that he wants something else, so you give him an expectant eyebrow raise.

He puffs out his cheeks, contemplating something for a few moments, before exhaling slowly.

"I want a bubble bath."

You do a double take, furrowing your brow. “Really?”

"Is that so weird?" he asks, sighing. "It sounds fun!"

"Well… sure, why not?"

Junhong laughs and squeezes you tighter, and you swear for a moment your forget he’s actually seventeen.

"Awesome!"

The two of you head to the bathroom, and he fills the tub with hot water while you look through the cabinets to find that bottle of bubble bath that your friend had given you last year but you’d never actually used.

You open the bottle and pour in a generous amount—how much were you supposed to add, anyways?—and watch the bubbles begin to form, covering the surface of the water.

"Don’t look," Junhong says, and you turn away as he undresses and slides into the water. He lets out an appreciative sigh as the warm water covers him, and you turn around to see him playing with the bubbles.

"Thank you~" he sing-songs, blowing some bubbles in your direction.

"How old are you again?" you tease, flicking some of the bubbles up at him. He just sticks his tongue out at you and continues to build his bubble tower.
