Ninth Click

I was in class, sitting at the back (because of my height) and by the window, smiling like an idiot at myself. Yesterday, I had gotten several pictures of Chanyeol – what a dream come true. I chuckled lightly, excited to get some more pictures of him today right after class. The giraffe had Physical Education, it would be interesting to see him sweat and work his lanky body off – those would be some interesting shots. I vaguely imagined him tripping on his own two feet and I couldn’t help but laugh.
“Do you find something funny, Kris?” The professor cleared his throat and I froze in mid-laughter.
“Oh,” I said, clearing my own throat and leaning forward, trying to hide my face. But damn, my towering height meant that my torso was long too – so hiding wasn’t a very easy thing to do. “No, I apologize, sir.”
“Hmph.” The professor eyed me carefully before resuming the lecture.
I lowered my head and smiled again. Damn, I’m just so happy – more so now that I had finally gotten rid of the weight of my secret out... and Chanyeol didn’t really seem to mind it. I was half-expecting him to stay away from me, but he didn’t. He just seems to be more shy now.
But there was still one more thing bothering me – and I was going to do something about it.
“Park Chanyeol!” The coach whistled, “You’re up!”
“Yes, sir!” Chanyeol grinned and shouted before running his best at the sound of the whistle. He skidded to a stop as he watched the coach jot down his time while shaking his head in amazement.
“Those long legs sure do wonders.” The coach said with a grin and Chanyeol laughed while scratching the back of his head.
Click. Click.
Chanyeol flinched, knowing what those clicking sounds meant. He turned around and stuck his tongue out.
Click.
“Stop it, hyung!” Chanyeol whined and I smiled from behind my camera.
“You’re still in class, Chanyeol. Concentrate.” I hummed from the bleachers and Chanyeol gritted his teeth and ran away from my line of vision. “Damn, that giraffe runs like a cheetah.”
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw the senior who had received my photo of Chanyeol sleeping wave lazily at me. I grimaced, knowing where this was probably going. Now I was going to have to face the devil himself.
“Hey, Kris.” The senior grinned. I didn’t move my lips an inch. “Thanks for sending that picture of Chanyeol last time. It was quite a surprise.”
“I didn’t do it on purpose, don’t misunderstand.” I replied.
“Well,” The senior looked back at the field where Chanyeol was preparing to sprint another round. “I didn’t think you’d be interested in someone like Chanyeol.”
“What are you saying?” I said, furrowing my brows. This guy was beginning to be a pain in the-- “Chanyeol’s special.”
“Of course, he is.” The senior turned back to me. “He’s special, all right.”
I glared at him. “In any case, forget about that picture I sent you. If you do something with it – anything at all, I’ll make you regret you were born.”
The senior didn’t seem to be affected with my threat at all as he shrugged and smirked. “Well, all right. If that’s what you want. But let me tell you one more thing, Kris... in case Chanyeol forgot to mention it to you.”
“What?” I spat.
“Chanyeol and I promised to have dinner later.” The senior said. “We’ll see what he thinks about it. You sending me a picture of him sleeping that is.”
I was in a state of total shock. “Wh-What?” Not because of what he was plotting; as if he wants to drive Chanyeol away from me – but because they were going to have dinner together. Was that a date?! The senior looked like it was going to be, but knowing that rock-headed giraffe, he just probably thought it was a lovely time of senior-junior bonding. I will not allow Chanyeol to be left alone with this guy!
“I asked him earlier and he seemed pretty fine with it.” He said, shrugging. “He was pretty excited.”
“Do something to him...” I growled.
“Something...?” The senior chuckled. “I think I might... since you gave me the idea.”
“Why you-!” I had to hold back – there was the coach nearby and Chanyeol too; if I caused a commotion out here... and at a senior too....
“You know, you’ve been giving me plenty of good ideas lately.” The senior smiled in a friendly manner. “I’d say it’s just something between rivals, don’t you think?” He patted me on the shoulder and left with a smug look on his face.
Rivals. Did he just say rivals?! I knew it! He had something for Chanyeol! And now, said giraffe was going to be left alone with that bastard! Not if I can help it...
I guess it must have been a couple of minutes of self-talk because the next thing I knew, Chanyeol had attacked me on the back. He pounced on me, evidently choking me. We spun in circles from the after effect of his jump attack and my stomach was starting to feel like it was going to lose its contents.
“Urgh!” I coughed, trying to balance.
“Hey!” He cheered, getting off of me and twirling to stand in front of me. “What’s up? You’ve been standing there for a while, I thought you fossilized.”
“Fossilized... I didn’t think you’d know such a word.” He stuck his tongue out as I fixed my shirt and sighed, “Do that again and I’ll take dozens of pictures of you sleeping.”
His eyes widened and he blushed faintly, “You wouldn’t. You can’t even get in my room.”
I smirked, “You’re forgetting who I am, Chanyeol. Besides, unless I remind you, you forget to lock your door.”
He pouted. “Well, when I do remember to lock my door, I have a passcode!”
“I know what it is.” I shook my head, teasing him.
His mouth dropped open. “Wha-?! H-How?! I swear I never told you before!” He panicked, grabbing the sides of his head.
“You mumbled it once in your sleep before.” I chuckled. “I’m pretty observant and you talk a lot in your sleep – which reminds me, remember when you slept
