Sixth Click

I felt like I was in cloud nine, Nirvana, or I died and went to heaven. I can’t explain myself any further than that. I have never felt so – free – in my life.
“I like that shot better.” The reason for my happiness said beside me as I clicked a button on my camera. Chanyeol and I were in the garden behind the school, viewing my scenic photos I had saved in my camera. He still has no knowledge of the stolen shots I have of him in my laptop.
“Really? You do?” I said, raising a doubtful eyebrow. “Since when were you so into criticizing photos?”
Chanyeol pouted – oh, how I wanted to snap a shot – but control yourself, Kris. There’s a limit to obsessing over your childhood giraffe.
“I just thought it was a nice shot!” He defended, crossing his arms and his now fully healed leg over the other.
I chuckled. “All right, all right.” I moved one hand from my camera to hold his. “Thanks.”
He stared at our intertwined hands. “... Um...”
“What?”
“No, nothing.” He said, looking away innocently.
Does he not like it when I hold his hand? What if he secretly thinks it’s creepy? After all, he hasn’t really answered my feelings yet...!
I pulled my hand away and he blinked immediately.
“Why did you let go, hyung?”
“....” My eyes widened, “I thought you didn’t like it.”
“I never said that.” He grinned, taking my hand again and sandwiching it between both of his. “See? Now it can’t escape!”
Bless this giraffe’s soul. How can someone as cute as him possibly exist in this world? I smiled back at him. “You’re right – and I prefer it that way.”
He blushed, looking at our hands. “Our hands are almost the same size.”
“Oh?” I looked back down, leaning close to him in the process. “Hmmm...”
“Look! They’re exactly the same! It’s probably because we grew up together.” He snickered to himself. I glanced over at him, smiling.
“How is that related to our hands being the same size?”
“Hmph.” He leaned close to me too and my heart fluttered. “I bet we can trade hands and no one will ever notice.”
“Why would you want to do that?” I chuckled, absolutely amused at what he was thinking.
“So I can take super, super, super, really, really awesome pictures!” Chanyeol cheered, flashing a beautiful grin at me. “I mean, if I have your hands for one day, I bet I can take a cool shot of you, hyung.”
I secretly squealed. His first picture would be a picture of me? “Chanyeol, that’s--”
“Hey,” A familiar male voice made both of us look away from each other. Chanyeol immediately pulled his two hands away from mine. I innately cursed the person – who just so happened to be the senior that had requested Chanyeol to model before.
“Good morning, sunbaenim!” Chanyeol greeted happily, bowing his head.
I gave a curt nod as well, “Good morning.” I didn’t really want to talk to anybody else right now. I was enjoying a moment with Chanyeol!
The senior smiled back at the both of us. “You two seemed to be having fun.”
Chanyeol’s eyes widened and he looked down immediately, probably hiding a blush. I was forcing a blush back too as I said, “You could say that. Anything we can help you with?”
“I was just wondering if you could send us the shot you took during the photo shoot. We’re going to edit it for the ad.” He said. “Within today if that’s fine.”
“Sure.” I replied. While we were conversing, Chanyeol’s eyes darted from me to the senior.
“Hm?” The senior looked back at Chanyeol. “Something wrong?”
“Oh, no.” Chanyeol’s voice was softer. “Um – um...”
I raised an eyebrow at his shyness. What the...
“I was just wondering...” Chanyeol smiled. “Was I okay during the photo shoot? I mean... I know I made a lot of mistakes and stuff but... was it... not troublesome to work with me?”
The senior let out a wider smile before making his way to Chanyeol and patting him on the head. Hey! Don’t touch Chanyeol, bastard sunbae! I glared at the action, hoping it went unnoticed.
“You did well, Chanyeol-ah.” The senior said. “Thank you for accepting our request.”
Chanyeol’s eyes sparkled. “Yes! Thank you as well, sunbaenim!” He shot up, standing straight like a bullet before bowing 90 degrees.
The senior chuckled before turning around to leave. He moved his head to me and said, “Well, I’ll be expecting that picture later. See you two around.”
“Bye!” Chanyeol waved happily at the elder. He then turned around and returned to sitting beside me, all giddy. “Yay~ he said I did good!”
“Uh huh.” I said.
“Hm?” Chanyeol tilted his head, wondering. “What is it, hyung?”
“Nothing.”
“It’s hardly nothing.” He said, poking my cheek. “Look, you’re pouting!”
“I said, it’s nothing.” I said, pulling his finger away from my cheek.
He blinked before his eyes grew wide. “Omo! Hyung!”
“What?”
“Are you jealous?” He leaned close, his discreetness: zero. I leaned back, moving away from him as I covered the lower half of my face – the blush creeping in quicker than I expected. He exploded into a fit of giggles. “Hyung – you – you’re jealous?! Wow! I – Oh my god!”
“What?! I am not jealo
