Chapter 3
Beijing Love Story
Boys and girls turned their head at the two boys walked side by side and took a seat next to each other, happily chat one another.
“I’m only a month older, you could be my friend then” Xiu Min said excitedly.
“Silly, this is Beijing not Korea, there’s no here”
“Oh yeah, I forget that”
“You don’t feel awkward?” Lu Han asked with his serious face.
“For what?”
“People have been staring, you didn’t notice?”
“Of course I do” Xiu Min replied and leaned back on his chair “I know I’m good looking, it’s a curse I had to deal with” he pretend to sigh.
Lu Han clicked his tongue and chuckled “Yeah, you’re pretty cute, Xiu Min” a sudden idea strucked his mind. He leaned forward to his friend with a mischeave smile plastered in his lip. “You’re so fair, how did you get your skin like that?” he asked in a low voice.
Xiu Min blinked at Lu Han’s sudden behavior. His body tensed as Lu Han’s finger reached out to his cheek with a strange gaze in his eyes, almost felt like wanting.
“And this cheek is so soft” Lu Han suddenly laughed as he poked Xiu Min’s left cheek, making the older pouted “I really like dumplings… You know? I should call you Bao Zi” he’s still laughing in his beautiful voice.
Xiu Min rubbed his left cheek slightly disappointed. "Is it really that round?" he asked
"Nope, just fairly white, soft and plump" Lu Han shook his head.
It was a nice thing for Xiu Min to met Lu Han, it's been months since he enjoyed a friendly conversation and laughed his heart out. Not to mention Lu Han helped him a lot in translating in classed and lend him his notes.
"You need a ride?" asked Lu Han as he put his books into his bags.
"Nah, I need to learn my route first" It was tempting but Xiu Min wanted to get familiar with Beijing streets as soon as possible.
"Okay, maybe tomorrow then" said Lu Han "Here's my number, if you get lost or need help just..."
"I know I know" Xiu Min cut him and grabbed his cell phone from his bag.
"Try not to get lost.." Lu Han walked backward still facing his friend "or kidnapped... or "
"Hey, don't jinx me" Xiu Min shouted as the other boy laughed and waved him goodbye.
Even though he tried to ignore other people eyes, he couldn't help but feeling curious because their whisper.
"Do you think they...?"
"Nah, he's a foreigner. I'm sure it's usual there"
Xiu Min turned to two girls that whispering loud enough two rows behind him. But the two of them smiled back at him so he didn't think they were talking about him.
After finished with his notes, he tidied up his books and stood up from his seat. Just as he walked out the door and turned right he bumped to someone.
", I need to stop this bad habbit" he cursed inside as he rubbed his forehead and kneeled down to picked up his books.
"Are you okay?" the other person also kneeled to help him.
Xiu Min raised his head and their eyes met each other. It felt like he was drowned to the soft brown orb, and they stared for a few second.
"Ah, I'm sorry, I wasn't looking" Xiu Min blinked and replied in broken Mandarin.
"You're the new student? Foreigner?" he asked again, smiled and showing him a dimple on his right cheek.
"Yes, I'm from Korea and I just studied Mandarin for two months"
They both stood up and the stranger handed him his belongings "I could speak Korean" he chuckled with a soft voice.
"Really? My name is Xiu Min" he offered his free hand and the stranger looked in a daze.
But he quickly shook Xiu Min's hand "My name is Yi Xing"
Just look at that smile... T___T
