Taemin’s POV

An hour or so later I had so many questions building up. Key and Brianna had already gone on their date

and Minho and Jonghyun were playing cards. At the moment, I didn’t care if I were to interrupt

Rebecca’s date. So I texted her.

 

“Yah~ Becca-yahh I want to know moreee,” after a few minutes went by I sent her another message.

“Beccaaaa!!” … “STOP HYUNG’S FACE AND ANSWER ME!” After that it only took her a minute

to respond.

 

“>//////<  TAEMIN-OPPA!”

 

“X3”

 

“…what do you want.”

 

“Tell me more about Carolynnn!”

 

“Like?”

 

“I don’t know…” I thought for a moment. “What’s she like?”

 

“Well, she IS my best friend. She seems to be really understanding of people. It can be really annoying though >.<”

 

“Why she is like that?”

 

“Well she spent a week in a mental hospital and she references things she learned there ALL THE TIME.”

 

“A MENTAL HOSPITAL?!” I was kind of disappointed. I mean…a girl with problems big enough that she

needs hospitalization? That’s not the kind of person I like. Ever.  But...

 

“Yeah, she had a reaction to her antidepressants and she needed to go to an inpatient

program. It was pretty scary. She disappeared for a week and didn’t tell us where she was

going because they weren’t allowed technology there.”

 

“Why did she need antidepressants?”

 

“ Depression. Well, actually they thought it was depression. Turns out she was treated for

something she didn’t have. They found out she was bipolar at the hospital. But she’s on

the right medication now and is fine. It was pretty amazing what she went through.”  

I agreed with her. That is amazing. I would be devastated if that was me! How sad. I misjudged. She didn’t have

problems…just an illness that was treated. I felt better now that I knew that.

 

“Woah. I wish I could ask her about it! That would be interesting to know about.”

 

“Ask her! She doesn’t mind talking about it. At all.”

 

“Maybe I will :)”

 

“You should. Go text her! I’m missing my movie.”

 

“…and making out with hyung.”

 

“>\\\\\< SHOO.”

 

I put down my phone and went to find food. Without Key-hyung here, I might’ve starved without instant

Ramyeon!

 

After I finished I decided to call Carolyn. The phone rang a few times before she answered.

 

“Hello?”

 

“Hey, it’s Taemin!”

 

“I do have caller ID, yknow,” she laughed. I copied her.

 

“Right, sorry.”

 

“Why are you sorry? Silly boy!”

 

“I don’t know! Aish.”

 

“So, why’d you call?”

 

“I was gonna ask if you wanted to hang out sometimes…like go to a movie or something. Or go on a

double date with Onew and Becca!” I smiled at the last thought, but whiped away my smile when I

heard her response.

 

“Date? Don’t we have to know each other first?”

 

“But, I like you. You don’t like me?”

 

“I never said that, I just barely know you. That’s all.”

 

“But I’d like to know you! And I’d love for you to get to know me!” I held my breath for her response.

 

“Well, let’s meet at the mall tomorrow. Let’s say, 6:30?”

 

“Omo!!! Okay!” I was totally pumped.

 

“Let’s meet at the food court.”

 

“Um..actually, could we meet at Hallmark?”

 

“Uh...okay? See you then I guess.” I smiled in excitement.

 

“Yes!”

 

“Okay, see you later!”

 

“Yepp, bye!”

 

I hung up and jumped in the air. I quickly texted Becca.

 

“Guess who’s going to the mall with Carolyn tomorrow at 6:30?!”

 

Her response:

 

“Good Lord.”
