I already got the guy’s phone number. All I need is to call him and settle everything. I dialed his number and called him.

Kris' POV:

 

 

 

Time sure flies so fast. It’s been 2 days since we left for Korea. For now, we’re done doing the fansigning event held here in Korea. Many fans attended and it’s so overwhelming.

 

 

 

Many fans gave me foods as gifts because they knew that my ideal type is a girl who can cook very well. Suddenly, the hair strand scene flashed in my mind. *I don’t know why I fell for you, you don’t cook, you’re a rebel, you’re rude, you always crash plates when you’re washing the dishes… yet… you got me.*

 

 

 

 

We’re now heading at a restaurant for dinner when…

“Hello? Who is this?”

 

 

“Ah. It’s Mr. Ren Roo. Shen’s… father.”, my eyes widened.

 

 

 

“Shen’s f-father?”, *The one that abandoned them with a big amount of debt?!*

 

 

 

“Yes.”, he simple answered. He seems as cold as her daughter, no doubt.

 

 

 

“Where did you got my number sir?”, I was curious so I asked.

 

 

 

“Your father is my friend. We merged our companies once. And we helped each other. So I got your number from him because i have something important to tell”

 

 

 

“What do you want from me then, sir?”, I asked. “I want my daughters back, we’re going to Canada to live there. And I need them to come with me.”

 

 

 

“I’m sorry sir, as far as I know, you abandoned her. How can you just say that you want her back when you wanted?”, I tried my best to keep my temper down.

 

 

 

“So… that’s what she told you?”, his voice became abit husky. “Originally… she left us.”, he started sniffling in the other line.

 

 

 

“W-why? Isn’t it?”, it seems like I’m missing a part of the story.

 

 

 

“She… she made us go away. That kid… I never thought she can be that merciless to her own parents. She shooed us away after knowing that our company got bankrupt and she said that it’s such a shame being our daughter.”

 

 

 

“…”, I found no words to say.

 

 

 

“So we left, feeling bad. I never thought that the kid thinks about her image first than her own parents. We raised her well. But she paid us back, her parents, this?”, he started crying loudly.

 

 

 

*So… she was like that in the first place? She lied to me…*, I thought.

 

 

 

“But… why did you call me for? You know. You can just get her out of my house and fly to Canada.”, I said.

 

 

 

 

My soul woke up from the reality after hearing Shen’s father’s side. I don’t know why… I started hating her from this very moment.

 

 

 

 

“Because. I know that she will not want to come with us. That girl is tough. She will not let us just drag her to Canada like that. I know that she will disagree because she doesn’t want to be with us.”, he sighed.

 

 

 

 

“So I called you to help us persuade her to come with us. Please.”, he sniffled again on the other line.

 

 

 

“But sir. She’s not living in my house anymo—“. “I know you’ll support us kid. Please… I’m begging you…”, he cried like he’s not a man. *Is everything this bad? Is she really that bad? How did she do this to her parents? She’s not the Shen that I know~*, I thought.

 

 

 

“Sir, you don’t have to beg like that anymore. Expect my alliance. I’ll support you sir. I’ll do my best to give her back and make her come with you to Canada.”, I comforted him.

 

 

 

 

“Really? You’re such a good kid. I’ll expect that as you said. Thank you. Bye. *Tuuuuut*, he hung up. *That was fast…*

 

Her father sounds so convincing. *Me too. I never thought that she could be like that. She lied to me.*

 

 

 

 

But somehow... i feel like something is wrong.

Mr. Roo's POV:

 

 

 

I needed to this. But I didn’t really mean to lie. But it’s the only way I know. I even cried for him to believe me.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This is the easiest way… Manipulating someone.

 

 

 

I don’t really want to do this. But my wife pushed me to.

 

 

 

But she is not Shen’s real mom. Shen’s mom died while giving birth to Lin. And now, our company got bankrupt when I was forcefully married to Gwen, my current wife. She spent my money by buying what she doesn’t need at all.

 

 

 

I can’t argue back at her because she got me by me neck. Inshort, I’m under her. I know… I’m a coward father. But that Gwen, she can even KILL anyone when she wants something. Like a psycho. So I can’t fight back. She might hurt my kids so I decided to leave them.

 

But for this time. I'm going to fight for them. I have to be with them and be strong for them.
