The last picture hanging on the string was reminiscent of a time when they weren't really on good terms. 

Ito yung magkatabi sila ng grad ball. Hindi sila nagpapansinan pero nilalamig si Seulgi kaya Joohyun still reached out and covered her legs with a blanket. 

"Hindi tayo halos nag-uusap nun kasi you were encouraging me to bring both of my moms sa graduation tapos apprehensive ako, wary of what people will think," Joohyun said. 

One of Joohyun's moms, in heternormative terms, dresses in a "masculine" way sometimes. So talagang minsan, people will disparage her and her other mom too because of the gender normative policing BS na dapat 'pag lalaki, ganito manamit, 'pag babae, ganito lang. 'Pag lalaki ka, para sa babae ka lang, 'pag babae ka, para sa lalaki ka lang. Nakakasakal ang mundo minsan.

Pero Seulgi persisted and found a way para hindi makaramdam ng discomfort si Joohyun nung graduation - sinigurado niya na laging magkasama families nila together - Seulgi and her mom and dad, Joohyun and her moms, so all people can see is how happy they really all are at that momentous occasion. 

"Dati, ang dami ko pang reservations 'pag nakikita kami ng mapang-matang publiko. Pero Seulgi, hindi na ngayon," Joohyun said, her voice filled with quiet pride.
