14344 - I love you, kaso, pero 

Gaano nga ba siya kamahal ng mga taong tinurang niyang magulang at tinrato siyang parang tunay na anak? 

Mahal na mahal, Irene knows this. 

She was born out of wedlock. Binigay lang siya ng biological mother niya sa moms niya one Christmas. Kumakatok daw ang totoo niyang nanay sa bawat bahay sa subdivision nila nung Pasko na yun, pero walang gustong tumanggap sa kanya. 

But her moms did not hesitate at all and accepted her right away. 

She's very thankful to them. They provided her the best life one can ask for - may tahanan, maayos na pagkain, pag-aaruga, edukasyon. 

But the sneer and snide remarks which people threw their way even when she was just a kid never escaped  her. 

"Ano ba yan, nagawa 'pang magsimba ng mga immoral na 'to," people in the church will whisper. 

Matapang moms niya at they can choose to live their own way even if they're constantly derided and judged by others.

Pero Irene doesn't want to experience what they went through. What they still go through. 

Mahal ko moms ko, Irene thought. But I don't want my future child to see herself in my shoes.

Mahal ko kayo mama, mommy, pero ayoko maging katulad ninyo. 

Hindi ako magiging katulad ninyo. 

I love you, kaso, pero.
