Chapter 34 : THE DEAL

FLASHBACK

“hi!” someone greeted
this broke sooyoung’s thoughts
then she turned

“oh.. t-t-taeyeon-ssi?”sooyoung said

”mind if I join you?” taeyeon asked

”anniyo I don’t mind” sooyoung replied

“can I ask you s-something, sooyoung-shi?”

”aa.. dae” sooyoung nodded

”where is fany-ah? I haven’t seen her lately”

”oh! She was in the hospital.. I’m planning to visit her maybe tomorrow or later” sooyoung said

”mwo??!!” taeyeon said with a bit worried and too much concern in her tone

this made sooyoung curious on why she’s too affected and concerned about their friend

”wae taeyeon-ssi?”

”aa.. nothing please don’t mind me.. I’m sorry..”

”yea”

”I hope she’ll get well soon” taeyeon mumbled

after that silence took upon them It was really awkward and sooyoung was still looking at sunny’s direction. Taeyeon noticed sooyoung’s stare at the short girl which made her assumptions right.

I’m right sooyoung likes sunny maybe beyond that. I should grab this opportunity and make use of the situation.

”sooyoung-ssi”

”uhmm?”

”do you like sunny-ssi?” taeyeon asked while looking straight at sooyoung

then sooyoung turned and found taeyeon looking at her. She looked away

”wh-what are you saying? you must be kidding taeyeon-ssi..” sooyoung was stuttering

”are you sure? But it seems you’ve been staring at her like forever?” taeyeon said half serious and with a bit of teasing tone

sooyoung face turned red like tomato “I’m not” but still have the courage to deny it

”stop denying it.. I already caught you.. come on just admit it”

”yeah.. i- I like her taeyeon-ssi”

”see? I’m right but I have an offer for you”

”offer?”

”yep a deal actually”

”what?”

”I’ll help you get sunny and you’ll help me get … tiffany” taeyeon said slowly and looked at sooyoung’s eyes

sooyoung stared at her with wide eyes “ tiffany?”

”yeah.. i like her .. I really like her.. please help me to know more about her ”

I hate her..

”but I can’t..”

”why?”

”look, how can I believe you easily?”

”believe? Why would you need such things?”

”because you’re a popular one… how could you like fany and you two just met? Are you certain that you like her? Can you assure me you won’t hurt her?” 

”I don’t care, me, being popular and so what? I like her!! And I won’t hurt her! Even we just met, I already like her.. please believe me”

sooyoung could swear she saw some hate and pain in taeyeon’s sincere eyes. But then because of those soft eyes she just couldn’t think of any reasoning

why would she hate tiff and felt pain?

”look this is a win-win situation you’ll get your sunny and I’ll have fany.. please?” taeyeon said   

  “please give me time to think about it.. I just can’t decide or agree on a  deal when my friend was involved.”

”of course I understand. No rush.. just talk to me if you’ve finally decided” taeyeon said and bowed as she walked away from sooyoung

what should I do?

then she turned where sunny is

and plus I’m not letting others have you..

”taeyeon-ssi wait..” sooyoung called out

taeyeon turned at her

”I’ll accept it” sooyoung said

”deal” taeyeon answered

little did sooyoung know taeyeon was already making a plan that she would never like to happen to tiffany.

gotcha.. sooyoung-ssi with that taeyeon smirked

”good morning class” the teacher greeted

”good morning sir”

”let’s have attendance first” he said as he sat down

this was a daily routine teachers calling your name you raise your hand and then say present and if the teacher can’t hear you clearly  you’ll say it once again a bit louder

but in tiffany’s case..

”hwang tiffany?”

”present” she said

there’s suddenly a noise, the professor looked up, many students are groaning and was shocked, he thought why

then looked at the girl who’s raising her hand up in the air. The professor’s eyes shot wide. It was like he saw a fallen angel… that was just embarrassing.

His students laughed at his reaction.

”again tiffany hwang?”

”sir I’m here” tiffany said a bit louder.

”uh-oh ok s-sorry”

even the other students who are ignoring tiffany before were talking to her, being friendly and asking for her number.

tiffany didn’t know people would go crazy over her when she finally let her real self out.
on the other side, a certain blonde beside her was quietly glaring at those people coming towards tiffany’s direction, she doesn’t like the attention that other people giving to tiffany.

taeyeon watched tiffany listens to their professor's lecture and took some important notes

why is it like this? why did you show up like this?
what's running inside your head?
i don't really get you..
why? what are you planning ?

tiffany then turned to see taeyeon looking at her but obviously the latter's mind was out somewhere

"uhmm.. taeyeonnie?" tiffany asked with a low voice not wanting their professor hear her and be caught in the act again

tiffany's voice brought taeyeon's mind back inside her head.

taeyeon looked up to see tiffany staring at her softly and concerned.

what're you really trying to do?
you're driving me crazy
i don't know what to believe
why are you staring at me like at that?
are you really concerned?

taeyeon looked away but not long after she decided to speak out

"fany-ah i heard that you're sick.. are you okay now?" taeyen asked hoping it will drive tiffany's concerned eyes away

it works!

"aa... yep i've been in the hospital.. but i'm fine now"

"you sure..?? you looked pale.. maybe you need to get some rest" taeyeon touched tiffany's forehead

but bad move it only sends her more butterflies in her stomach

tiffany's face was red, blushing madly at taeyeon's gestures

tayeon seemed to be frozen but quickly added "omo you're red!" she said and at the same time she retreated her hand

"anniyo.. i-i'm okay taeyeonnie" tiffany stuttered

*RINNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGG*

”fany-ah let’s have lunch together” taeyeon asked as she approached tiffany

”uhmm sure why not .. I’ll just tell jessi” tiffany said and get her phone to text Jessica even though they were in the same room.

outside the door taeyeon’s fans were already waiting but upon seeing taeyeon talking to the ‘new girl’ whom they were referring to is the nerdy tiffany they’re bullying ever since the latter start studying in the school.

”let’s go grab some food in the canteen” tiffany said

taeyeon nodded slightly disappointed
did she forget to make me a lunch?

tiffany noticed taeyeon was frowning

”is there something wrong?” tiffany asked

taeyeon just shook her head and continued to walk

when they reach the canteen

”fany-ah look for a table and I’ll order our food… what do you want?”

”uhmm just get me a pasta and tempura” tiffany said

taeyeon nodded and quickly falls in line

she silently watched tiffany to look for a table..

while tiffany was searching for a vacant seat and table. She doesn’t now why people kept on pushing her at first she shrugged it off she thought it was just an accident but until now they kept on doing that.

so she turned around and saw the students whom she recognizes as taeyeon’s fans glaring at her with a deadly aura surrounding them.

that sends Goosebumps to tiffany..

she’s scared she was about to run when her back touches a flat surface

a wall



meaning…
