chapter 30 : weird (final part)


taeyeon’s pov

as soon as I recovered from that bump

I immediately tightened my grip on the steering wheel
I push the accelerator to drive forward then turn left
I could see miyoungie trying to bump the back part
so I increase my speed and started to drive in circular motion
making miyoungie even madder  as her failed attempts continued to occur

I chuckled loudly but still driving
“yah! miyoungie can’t hit me” I shouted at her with a smirk on my face
she just glared at me and continued to follow what I’m doing

but I stopped abruptly and our bumped cars were facing each other
“come on! Wanna bump me?” I asked teasingly
I could see she wanted to hit my car so badly
well,  she must not fall for my trap

but here she is stepping the accelerator right away
not  even thinking what I can do

so I turn right making her miss another opportunity
I laughed so hard as she pouted even more

“haha.. have you gone blind? Oh my bad..why? too much pink in your room.. that’s too bright  Haha” I said while laughing
“yah! I’m not blind! Tsk.. shortie ” she shouted
“ ooh so you’re using shortie now?? But that doesn’t change the fact that you’re a pink FREAK!!.. haha” I continued to laugh “oh, wait want me to get your totoro ?.. you look like about to cry haha..”

“yah! don’t drag totoro here!! Just try to mess with it or I’m gonna send your peas in hell” Stephanie said she’s really angry

“hey!! Just try do it or you’re not going to see your totoro forever… I’m gonna chop it into pieces..”
I said with a threatening tone

no one messes with my PEAS!

“okay then! Just don’t touch my totoro and I’m not going to do anything with your beloved peas”
miyoungie declared

“DEAL!” I exclaimed as I started to drive again away from her.

“yah! kim coward! Come back here! Aish.. you’re unfair!” miyoungi complained loudly

“well, then your wish is my command” I turned and drove back to her
and bumped at her car right away

“aww..” she mumbled then glared
“yah.. you said come back here don’t you?” I said innocently
I stepped on the accelerator making her car pinned on the corner..

“haha… you’re going to knock kim taeyeon out? Haha not gonna happen miyoungie” I said with a matter of fact tone

“aish!! Unfair!!” she whined as she tried to move her car forward to escape from me

“just admit it! You lose.. and you’re a pink freak..”

“I’m definitely not a loser and a FREAK!” she exclaimed
and she let go of the steering wheel as she crossed her arms above her chest

“okay.. okay I get it.. sorry? I guess” I apologized ending this crazy bumping game.. I don’t want her to go home with any bruise or what.

“hmmp.. not enough” she said

“not enough? Then what do you want to do?” I asked

“let’s play!” she exclaimed as her car escaped and bumped at me directly

I groaned “aish!!”

she then stick out her tounge “maerong~~ tae-tae.. try to get me” she said with a challenging  tone
 
  I smirked “okay then your wish my command”

we continued the chasing game as we laugh and chat with each other happily
how I wish I could stop the time and be forever with her..
but everything has an end..
*****DING*****

“ma’am your time’s up” the staff called us out

breaking our moment together

miyoungie didn’t want to go at first she even said “I’m going to pay for another 50 rounds..please” but I drag her out as the staff was having trouble in deciding as miyoungie keeps on showing her puppy eyes look

and now, she’s pouting and stomping her feet like there’s no tomorrow
she sighing all over again and mumbling something I can’t understand
but all I can hear is that “tsk.. tae-tae.. taeyeon!”

she’s complaining and whining to me
aish!! I don’t know what to do

it’s lunch time so I took her out to eat in a restaurant
but she kept on ignoring me

“miyoung-ah! Stop being a child okay?!” I yelled at her and grab her wrist to stop her
from walking away

“i-I just wanted to have some fun.. but you dragged me out of the amusement park” she said and looked down

aigoo.. I thought I’m the one who’s childish but looked at her .. sigh..

“miyoungie look at me” I slightly push her chin up  “let me explain, after we eat lunch we’re going back and play but we mustn’t miss the sunset” I said

“really? We’re going back and play… gomawo tae-tae..” she exclaimed happily and pick an order quickly

I chuckled quietly as I told  the waiter I’m going to have the same

after a few minutes

our order has arrived we started to eat
but miyoungie is in hurry

“yah! slow down.. lotte world is still open you know?” I said as I tried to stop her eating so fast
“s-sowwy tae-tae” she said as she chewed her meal

I watched her silently
‘so cute.. too bad I’m just your best friend’
that thought make me avert my gaze to the window
but turned at her after a few seconds

‘if I could just confess.. and you’re not going to reject me.. I think that’s a happy ending’ I frowned I won’t find the answer as long as I can’t tell her my feelings

would you blame me for being coward? Well, I don’t wanna ruin our friendship and plus we’re both GIRLS!..

sigh.. I wish things were just easy.. I’m still staring at her

“tae-tae why aren’t you eating and why are you staring at me?” she asked this brought me back to reality.. I saw her drinking

“hmm.. because just watching you making me full already” I said making her choked and spit some water.

“yah!! geez..  miyoungie you’re a mess” I said as I get some table napkin and help her wiping some dirt on her face “such a kid” I mumbled

she seems to be frozen at my sudden gesture

“hey! Continue eating now” I said as I grab the spoon and fork beside and started to eat along with her

 “tae-tae let’s go play again” she exclaimed happily and drag me in every games she could see

“tae-tae let’s play this one”  I looked at the game machine
“HIT THE DOGS OUT? What’s that?” I asked

“tae-tae just play don’t ask and hold this hammer” miyoungie said and summon a token inside the machine
  
then a dog like figures came out from the red hole

“yah! tae-tae hit them” so I just did what miyoungie said
I started to hit them but it’s so hard they pump out at the same time
and I only have one hammer..

“tae-tae on the left.. tae-tae on the right.. left .. tae-tae.. that one” miyoungie kept on saying
I unknowingly find myself focusing on the game as I tried my best to push those dogs down using that big hammer

then it stopped “thank you for playing” the machine said and it pulled some tickets out
“yah! tae-tae look this is what you just get.. sigh so slow!!” miyoungie scolded
“hey! It’s because that game is so childish” I tried to argue
“yeah.. whatever SNAIL” she mumbled

aish.. “then let’s play some other game” I said
“okay then.. here” she said

HIT THE CAN

eh??  It was a stall where you will stand and try to aim the cans but you must hit the can that has a stamp inside, there are 3 balls if you succeed to hit the target. That big pink human teddy bear will be yours..

and what makes miyoungie even wanted it more ?
the pink human teddy bear plus the limited edition TOTORO KEYCHAIN

“tae-tae make sure you’ll gonna hit it” she said seriously

I gulped “a-arrasso” of course she’s be serious for the sake of her pink obsession and her totoro addiction.

I get the ball and took a deep breath before finally throwing it
I must know where’s that stamp can be ..

I chose the one on the right side
so I aimed for it but missed it for the first time
I thought when I’ve decided the throwing thing will be easy for me
but aish.. I wasted my second ball.

I took the third ball
I looked at miyoungie whose closing her eyes tightly and prayed to fullest.
I smiled then turn at the cans again

at least I can give something to her
I said in my mind as stretch out my arm and throw the ball on the air
I closed my eyes as nervousness is flowing through my body

but a sudden **KLING** made my eyes flew opened

my jaw dropped
.. and the staff revealed that the can has the stamp..

“tae-tae.. you did it” miyoungie shouted happily

I saw her running with her arms out wide
i smiled and spread my arms wide too i waited for a body to collide with mine
but nothing happened so i opened my eyes

to see miyoungie hugging the bear tightly and holding the totoro keychain

"that's mine.. i'm the one who played not you" i said still mad not even saying thank you or a hug
sigh..  so in the end i just turn my back at her and started to walk away

then i felt a pair of arms on my waist
"gomawo tae-tae" she whispered and turned at her
before i could say anything she lean forward and kiss me on my cheeks

oh the best payback ever

i smiled as i watch her cheeks getting redder and redder by the moment
cute..

 i walked beside her and hold her hands tightly

"hey.. miyoungie want a ferris wheel ride?" i asked sweetly

she nodded "okay then"

we walked towards the operator and gave the ticket

unfortunately, miyoungie keeps on squealing because our carriage was colored pink.

"hey, calm down.. quiet please" i said

she did as what i told her to do so

"mianhe"

we sat down next to each other as the ferris wheel started to rotate
we watch the beatiful scenery outside the window.
it's a full view of the city.

"tae-tae look there's fire works!!" miyoungie pointed it out
"woah" i said 
fireworks just made our afternoon even more special

"tae-tae what do you want to do after this?" she asked but still looking outside 
"uhmm.. like i said you need to make it up to me.. so i just have one wish" i said
"aa.. but hey!! what wish? don't be so cruel okay! don't abuse me" she said and turned to me
now, our position is inappropriate i think
we can feel each other's breath
so i can't stand it anymore and slip away making a distance between the two of us

for a minute, it was awkward
we tried to make a conversation but it always end up shortly
"okay.." i said as i took a deep breath "miyoungie.. answer me honestly"
"mwo? tae-tae"
"what're you doing this?" i asked and looked at her eyes
"w-what do you mean?"
"you know what i mean hwang miyoung" i answered her
"i-i t-tae p-promise me you won't be mad" she said as she hold my hands tightly
i gulped this is something serious

"it depends" i paused for a while "spill it out now"
she nodded "tae-tae i-i'm going t-to--"

but the she was cut off by the bell

**RING**
the ride is over
so i mouthed to her --LATER--

we headed out of the carriage
"tae-tae where are we  going? uhmm.. tae i'm saying--" she asked as i continued to drag her out of the lotte world again
"shh... just grant my wish first please" i turned at her and gave her a reassuring smile

  actually, i'm scared on what she will say
i'm afraid ..
so at least this time i could watch sunset again with her 

i quickly called for a cab
i can sense her uneasiness so i hold her hand and gave a light squeeze
she looked at me and i gave her a reassuring smile
"just tell me later okay?" i said
she nodded
i noticed the pink teddy bear beside her
"miyoung-ah what do you want to name that pink bear?" i asked
"uhmm.. since you won this for me why don't we combine our names" she said
"ooh.. sounds a bad idea.. do you want the other people think that teddy bear is an ahjumma?" i
"mwo? what do you mean?" she asked

"hahah.. seriously, you're so slow.. ahhah then you're calling me SNAIL? hahha" i said

"ahjussi you think so too.. she's slow right?haha" i even laugh so hard as the drver just smiled at me

"yah!! elaborate it please" she said and pouted
"o-okay tell me your name then that will make you an ahjumma?" i said teasingly
her eyes widened in realization "yah!! stp laughing ! shut up kim taeyeon or i'm going to pull your tounge out of your mouth" she said and slap my shoulders with so many times

"arasso.. minahe uhmm what about miyeon? is it good?" i asked
"sounds good tae-tae" she said
"of course it will be there's a YEON on it anyway" i mumbled but unfortunately she heard me

"yah!! i told you stop teasing me!!" she exclaimed and continued to sla my poor arms
"arasso.. mianheyo miyoungie" i prefer this kind of interaction than having an awkward moment with her

then the cab stopped suddenly
"we're here mam" the ahjussi said
"uhmm gomawo ahjussi" i said as i took money out from my wallet and give it to the driver

"what are we doing here tae-tae?" she asked as soon as she get out from the cab
"uhmm wae?.. you begin this here so i'm gonna end it here" i said
so i offered my hand and smiled at her sweetly
"so would you join me?" i asked
"of course i'd love to" she said and took my hand

and run together inside our safe haven
