Chapter 31 : slipping chances


Taeyeon’s pov

when we reach the place
we’re still early enough to watch the sunset

we sat on the bench chatting happily

”you know what? I have a wish” I said

”wish? Tell me then” she challenged

”would you grant it?” I asked playfully

”it depends” she answered

”eh?”

”of course I have limitations.. in case you forget I’m just a human tae-tae”

”tsk.. but you promised”

”promised? Hey!!”

”aigoo.. forgetful miyoungie.. you said you’re going to make it up to me, right?”

”uhh.. okay but not so hard please” she pleaded while nodding her head
    
”sigh.. in case you didn’t notice I always make things easier for you.. babo!” I said with a matter of fact tone

”really? Okay then tell me” she said

”it’s just that I hope we’re always like this” I said while I put my right arm on her shoulder pulling her a little bit closer

she looked at me and I just smiled
we silently enjoyed each other’s warmth as we watch the sunset

the smile never leave my face but when miyoungie started to say something

”taeyeon-ah” she called out

”uhmm wae?” I respondeed but I didn’t look at her

”I-I need to leave and I don’t know if I’m still gonna go back”

I froze

did I heard it right? leave and maybe for good?
no way!

”mwo?? But why?” I exclaimed and turned at her

but there is no one
I looked left and right
the whole place turn into black as the sun was gradually no longer in my sight

I run as fast as I could

I searched in every room until I’m on the front gate

I caught a familiar figure bending down

”miyoung” I called out breathlessly

but then I saw a vehicle coming towards her
my eyes went big..
I didn’t know what I’m goin’ to do
I seemed to be black out for a moment
but I ran towards her and pushed her away…
far enough
to not get hit by the car..
and as a result to that…
I’m the one who get hit ..

”AAAAAHHHH!!!” I screamed

I opened my eyes and scan the place
there’s still no one inside the room

just a bad dream

I sighed
and wiped my sweat on my forehead

but I remembered something

wait? She said she needs to leave..
she told me but what’s the reason..
she told me.. she said it to me..
but why? Why she needs to leave?

something’s not right
my parents told me

she left without a word
without a word but how come in my dream..
she’s about to say something

I need to know it! I need to…

so I immediately grab my phone
and dialed someone’s number

”hello, miss kim” a manly voice answered on the other line

”aa. Dae director park can you do me a favor?” I asked softly

”anything miss kim”

”could you please lend me an hour? Or just 30 minutes?”

”it’s okay.. but you’re gonna miss your next class ”

”uhmm director park one more thing let the other students enjoyed their lunch a little bit longer.. can you do that for me.. so no one will definitely notice my absence” I said

”okay miss kim I understand”

”and one last thing director park don’t say anything about my parents please”

”don’t worry miss kim I’ll keep my mouth shut”

”thanks” I said and hung up

I quickly grab my things and left the room quietly
I sneak to the entrance gate to get my motorcycle
the bandage makes me uncomfortable
so I harshly pulled it off of me

well, I’m not injured…
it’s just another excuse..
I didn’t know that she’s going to fall in my trap easily

but I need to stop this
I need to end this
I need to know the truth

I increased my speed and hold to the handle tightly

after a few minutes of driving
I reached my destination

Seoul general hospital

”excuse me miss may I know the room number of miss tiffany hwang?” I asked
”it’s 207 miss” the nurse said
”uhmm.. kansahamnida” I thanked her then bowed

I quickly searched for the room and luckily, I found it easily

I realize the door is slightly opened
I was about to go inside but the sudden commotion inside the room made me stopped

tiffany got slapped by someone

“sica” a familiar voice called out
a tanned girl was trying to hold the person on the other side of the room

yuri? i thought

the next thing I knew the sudden yelling startled me

”why didn’t you say anything?!!” the enrage girl shouted

”why did you lie?!! From all these years you keep on hiding it!!”

”tiff ! I believe you! I never doubted you! That’s why I helped you.. I just thought everything was fine”

”tiff we need to end this! I’m going to tell uncle!!” the furious girl was ready to leave

but an unexpected sight welcomed me once again

tiffany was kneeling down in front of a certain blonde and hug the other girl’s knees

”please sica.. don’t say anything” she started to choke up a bit

as tears are threatening to fall

”just please jessi.” she continued pleading

”don’t you see me and taeyeon were just starting already so please”

”just give some more time..”

”but tiff can’t you understand she doesn’t remember anything” the other one tried to argue

”then let her be jess.. it’s okay for me.. it’s better we’re going to make new memories!! The past must kept in the dark forever”

”but you know we can’t keep this forever!! Tiff please let’s end this !! just tell her everything!”

”no!! I’m not going to! You can’t do this jess”

”then fine! we won’t tell her .. but I’m gonna tell uncle hwang about you”

”jess please don’t say anything”

”tiff you’ve been fooling us for almost 4 years!! For goodness sake!”

”no!! no one except us will know this!”

I slowly push the door and closed it

not wanting to hear their endless argument

I sat down on the floor

I’m such a babo! Me being here?
I thought she’s gonna tell me  if I ask her-
but from hearing those statements
she going to keep it forever

tears started to run down my cheeks

I even decided that I’m going to forgive her..
once she explains everything
but what?

she’s still planning to make me look like a fool forever?

I wiped my tears harshly

if she wants this then I’m gonna play with her…

I stood up quickly  
and turning away from that place

inside tiffany’s room

when taeyeon left..

”but tiff if something bad happens to you ..” Jessica said softly and kneeled down on the floor too

”can’t you see I’m still okay..” tiffany defended herself

”and you can’t deny your exact condition”

”jess.. believe I’m fine.. nothing hurts”

”tiff I let you be this past 4 years because I thought you’re really okay..”
”but what’s this.. you’ve been suffering quietly all these years and you didn’t tell me..
you hide all those results.. and now look you’ve gotten much more worse than before”

tiffany silently looked down and wiped her tears

”I know you really love taeyeon.. but think about yourself too.. tiff..”

”but jess I if I told her everything she’s gonna hate me! I’m the caused of that incident.. every thing was my fault..”

”it isn’t your fault.. she saved you.. please tiff let’s stop this.. you need to get treated as soon as possible”

”they’re not even sure jessi if I’m going to survive that”

”please tiff before it’s too late.”

”but jess please I promised if everything seems to go fine between me and taeyeon..” she paused and took a deep breath then continued

”I’m going to have that heart transplant” tiffany said truthfully

the two best friend hugs each other tightly

I promised nothing will happen to me..
when tae-tae and I will be in good terms again..

I’m gonna have that heart transplant..
I just hope it won’t failed like what happened to my mom..

okay.. so that’s why fany needs to leave..
because she have a weak heart..

she was recommended to have the transplant..
and taeyeon misses an opportunity to know this ..
