chapter 17 :

my seatmate

tiffany’s pov

I looked down Immediately as I noticed the whole class were looking at us

 “miss kim and miss hwang what’s the problem?” I heard our teacher asked
taeyeon suddenly stand up and apologized

”sorry ma’am.. I didn’t mean to shout and .. I guess uhmm.. uh”

I can’t bear watching tae-tae like that so I stand up also and try to explain

”sorry ma’am.. I was just really overwhelmed and plus I’m the one who’s at fault.. I startled taeyeon-ssi.. i guess we’re both shocked”

”okay.. you’re not answering my question but since it is miss hwang’s first day..you two uhmm can sit now.. and please pay attention in the discussion”

we sit down .. finally .. whoo.. I’m still nervous and plus I didn’t know taeyeon is my sleeping seatmate

then I felt someone was poking my shoulder
so I turned and saw taeyeon’s toothy smile and she mouthed

-you saved me thanks-
-no problem- I returned the smile..

we smiled throughout the discussion
and I’m stealing glances at her

luckily she didn’t notice it..
she’s busy listening to our teacher.. see? She’s diligent
I think she was just really tired from her practice
that’s why she was asleep a while ago..

how I’m supposed to study if tae-tae is my seatmate..
I can’t focus she’s just too irresistible not to look to..

I noticed that when she’s slightly confused in the discussion
she’s going to lean forward as if she’s having a hard time looking at the board  ..
then afterwards she’s going to pout and tilt her head as she twirl her pen…

and after a few minutes when she’s able to understand it
she’s going to stop pouting and she’s going to stretch her arms..
then she unconsciously nod by herself

I chuckled silently as I watch her childish antics ..
and shook my head.. “nothing change” I mumbled
still cute and dorky as ever..

I thought I’m writing what our teacher’s saying ..
I mean I’m sure i’m writing what’s on the board..
but you know what I write instead to copy the notes..

the whole page was full of I love taeyeon..
I put my hands on my cheeks.. I can feel heat..
I’m blushing again.. it’s embarrassing I need to tear the pages off before anyone can see it..
especially my dorky seatmate..
I quickly put it inside my bag..

I felt someone’s gaze and it’s coming from taeyeon
”uhmm wae??” I asked
”it’s lunch time now” she said
”huh?? Really ??” aishh.. I didn’t even notice the bell rang a few seconds ago..

I saw jess walking towards my direction
”tiff.. let’s go..” she said impatiently..
and sooyoung look so pale
” hey what happened to soo??” I asked jess..
”I don’t know.. you know she must be..” she said
I just nodded I know what’s she’s trying to say..
 “ hey, aren’t you going to canteen” jess said
”uhmm no.. I have my lunch”
”uh that’s new.. are you sure you’re going to be okay here..?” she said as she glared at taeyeon
”jessi..yah.. I’m fine okay” I said as she continued sending coldly glares to tae-tae..
I saw taeyeon gulped and trie to speak out..
”uh hi.” She said as she offered her hand to jessi
I elbowing jessi..
she just rolled her eyes.. and leaving taeyeon dumbfounded
taeyeon just turned at me..
”I guess.. she’s really friendly? Huh?”
I chuckled “yeah.. but don’t worry she’s nice actually she’s my best friend”
”eh?? That girl.. you sure.. a while ago she’s giving me goosebumps..”
”yah.. don’t say anything like that.. she’s really nice you know..”
”okay.. if you say so.. uhh by the way I’m going to introduced you to my best friend” she paused for a while to look for someone..
” oh.. that’s impossible she leave me ?” she mumbles but I still heard it
I gulped and silently thanked yuri in my prayers
”that kkabyul !! .. uhh.. sorry I guess she have an emergency.. she’s not here.. that was fast..” she said as she shook her head..
”by the way.. we’re going to be classmates.. so I’m kim taeyeon and you are?”
she smiled and I replied “ tiffany, tiffany hwang” of course I returned the smile..
she seems to be frozen for a while but managed to compose herself again..
I tilted my head..as I’m think why did she froze??
”well, I’m glad that finally I know your full name.. hwang ..” she then smiled no more like smirking
”yeah.. nice to know yours too, kim” I said
she just laughed
”okay so your promise??”
”uhhm?? What promise?” I decided to
”yah ! did you forget it… come on. You promised” she whined
”eh what are you saying..? I really don’t know” I said as I tilted my head to show that I’m confused
”hai.. tsk..forget it.. I know that you’re going to break your promise..” she mumbled and pouted.. and she go back to her seat ..
to kick her chair lightly and pushed the table away from her
I silently shook my head.. such a kid
”hey, don’t be angry” I said
but she didn’t look at me..
I sighed
”okay.. here it is.. I’m sorry” I said
”hehhe.. I know you’re just joking” she said as she opened the lunch boxes   
I quickly put my stuffs inside my bag.. to follow jess and soo at the canteen
but someone pulled me back
”hey..tiffany-ssi where are you going?” she asked
”taeyeon-ssi – i- I’m going to the canteen” I said
”ermm.. would you please stay here?? I mean can you eat with me again?” she asked while looking down .. o-oh .. I smiled I think I’m just going to text jessi
”no problem.. we can eat together.. again” she finally looked up and smiled brightly at me..
”really..?? thanks..” she happily dragged me back to the room..
I pulled out my lunchbox and started to eat with her
we chat and talked happily with each other..
and most of the time she’s teasing me.. well, I really enjoyed it
if not because of that day.. we’re still going to have fun with each other..
without guilt inside me.
honestly every time I’m looking at her.. guilt was killing me.. but what I’m going  to do ..
I can’t lose her.. I can’t I really can’t..

taeyeon’s pov..

how could they do this to me..??
how long they’ll going to fool me..??

why can’t they just say  the truth to me ??

I’m not going to stop until they confessed everything ..

I don’t know how can they faced and talked to me..
like nothing happened..

I need to know what really happened at that time..
please.. tell me..

I silently prayed as I looked up to see tiffany smiling at me.
I smiled weakly in return

how could you hurt me like this..??
why?? Why tiffany ?? !!

I really wanted to yell at her .. and ask everything..
but no.. I’m going to make her suffer first..
