chapter 28 :

WEIRD (part 1)

taeyeon’s pov

I cursed under my breath after facing another flash back
my hands were trembling
I hardened my grip on the table making sure I won’t collapse or anything
I felt dizzy

thanks that I seat in the last row and I have no seatmate of course because fany isn’t here
so no one will notice my actions right now

it took me minutes to recover
it’s just a heavy and a massive feeling
every nerves in my body were unknowingly shaking

I finally felt light
I leaned back on my chair
and closed my eyes to relax
I inhaled and exhaled calmly

I breathed continuously
my body surrendered and let my guard down for a moment
as a light feeling clouded my surroundings

I unconsciously fell asleep
but this feeling won’t leave me easily
because even in my dreams
forgotten memories were still haunting me

---in taeyeon’s dream---

we’ve been sitting under this tree for almost an hour
neither of us utter a single word  
but our hands never leave each other

I felt she suddenly tightened her grip on mine
I don’t’ know what so special today but she insisted to take a walk in this private place inside our future school

well, actually our family owns this land but my father decided to just give it to director park (mr. ahjussi) as a gift for his loyalty and service to the kim’s family over several years

this part inside the school only me and this stubborn little brat beside me knows about it.

Well, it’s dedicated for me after all.

this is my safe haven no this our safe haven from the very first start.

but after a long silence
I cleared my throat and decided to speak out

”miyoungie why do you want to go here?” I finally found my voice to ask her

”uhhmm” she began to say and started to looked down and unconsciously fidgeting her fingers. She seems to be not in herself I mean she looks distracted like

something was bothering her

”hey, what’s the matter?” I tapped her shoulder but continued in interrogating her
”nothing” she shook her head and pause for a while as she shifted her position to stand up
still not letting go with my other hand “let’s play outside first” she said happily trying to cover her nervousness

I bet she’s hiding something but since I don’t know what’s going on
I shrugged it off

”yah?! What are you a 5 year old kid?” I exclaimed and even more with my ahjumma laugh echoing in every corner of this secluded place which makes our atmosphere calmer and a little bit lighter.      

I received a familiar slap on my right arm as I tried to regain my breath from the sudden outburst but seriously even without looking at her
I know she’s pouting and frowning

”yah! Stop laughing” she whined and stomped her feet at the same time
making it looks more childish than ever

”arasso..a-arasso” I choked up because of laughing too much

she slide her tounge out “merong”
”that’s what you get for teasing and laughing so hard at me” she discussed our non sense so called argument tthen pulled me up with all her strength and go outside

”hey, where you heading me to?” I asked but she just increase her speed in walking

I kept on asking but she was just like she’s hearing nothing at all.. totally ignoring me

then she stopped abruptly that causes me to stop too

we passed by a hotel and my eyes widened

”yah! I didn’t know you-you’re planning something on me” I said and pulled away my hand and pointed at her accusingly

then hugged myself tightly
she rolled her eyes and said “as if I can get something from you taeyeon-ah” with a matter of fact tone

”you’re exaggerating tae-tae we’re just going to get a cab here” she said
”oh why is that? We can use my car” I told her but she always ignores me and raised her hand to call a cab

at the end we ended up sitting at the backseat of the taxi

”miyoung-ah where are we going..? seriously you’re killing me here” I asked then just after some moment she pulled the car door and go out

she spread her arms out wide and shouted

”lotte world” she just grabbed my hand without a word

who knows what’s going on inside the head of my bubbly best friend ?
