Irene teaches Wendy how to play Animal Crossing New Horizons

Irene’s POV

“Okay so this is how you shake a tree”

I told my crackhead girlfriend as my thumbs skillfully handles onto the joystick. Wendy had always been bugging and begging me to let her play with my Nintendo Switch. Not that I had anything against it, just that knowing Wendy’s temper whenever things don’t go her way, I’m afraid that my console won’t last a week under her care. Finally giving her a chance, I gave her permission to access Animal Crossing

“Is it necessary to shake every goddamn tree?”

“There are usually hidden items like cabinets and stuff and sometimes money. But mostly it’s just branches” I shrugged

“Why would I collect some ing branches” she squinted her eyes at me

“I told you, for the recipe. It’s useful when you want to make another fishing rod or some ”

“Can’t I just buy them at ’s Granny?”

“THE SHOP IS CALLED NOOK’S CRANNY “

I sighed, pinching my nose bridge. Explaining to her is useless. This is the exact reason why I did not let her make her own account. Because one, making it is a hassle and two, she’s going to ask a bunch of weird questions and waste a whole lot of money buying digital games.

“Close enough! Why can’t I just buy it instead of wasting my energy making a weak fishing rod?” Wendy said

“Well what if the fishing rod breaks in the middle of the night and you wanted to catch a fish, but Nook’s Cranny is closed for the night?” I told her trying to get her to understand my point

“Then we’ll just break it down and build another one. Tommy or Timmy or whoever they are will understand. If Wendy wants a fishing rod, she WILL GET A FISHING ROD”

“GOD DAMN IT WENDY”

I smacked her right in the face, shoving her off the couch. Sweet lord, it’s enough that I had to deal with her breaking our washing machine just two days ago and now this? It’s just a game for goodness sake

“Just – do you or do you not understand the whole explanation? I might as well not let you play if I had to die explaining to you every five minutes” I snickered

“I do, I do. Now hand over the switch woman”

“What’s the magic word?” I stared

“Wendy’s is y – “

“What? No “

“Sorry, Irene’s is y” she winked

“God damn it Seungwan – “

“Please, baby?”

She gave me her toothy smile looking all innocent and stuff. Crap, if only I’m not madly in love with this dumb goofball right here I would’ve swing my hand on that face right there and then

“You’re lucky you’re cute”

I scoffed and gave her a peck on the lips, then shoving the console to her hands. She wiggled on her seat and went all giddy after getting the switch from me. Damn, what a cute human being

“Thank you Unnie!” she giggled

“Mmm. You better handle that with care. If I see a single scratch on it I swear to god” I warned

“As if you handle me with care” she mumbled

“I heard that”

“YOU PUSHED ME OFF THE COUCH WHEN YERI WALKED IN ON US”

“That is a conversation for another day!!”

Dear god, one minute she was all cute and pinch-able and the next minute she’s all irritating and definitely punch-able. I almost lost my when Wendy and I were in our moments and Yeri just HAD to walk in on us while holding three bubble teas, and the weird part was that she was not amused and reacted with; Damn, the gods did well for both of your behinds

“Just play the goddamn thing and keep your tiny little mouth shut” I glared

“My mouth is not tiny! My vocal chords are off the roof-habsfsahssh “

And I smacked her with a pillow trying to shut her up before walking off towards the book shelf trying to find a book to read. Killing time like this is much better than handling my idiotic-fortunately-adorable girlfriend. After picking up a novel, I marched back to the couch and sat right next to Wendy who now seemed to be so into the game

“Cabbage?” she looked at me

“My island” I shrugged

“So you named your island Cabbage Island, but your main fruit is Peach. Why peach?”

“Just because” I shrugged again

“Is it because it looks like a – “

“YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO JUDGE ME”

Wendy snorted and went back to focus. She’s probably wondering out of all names, I decided to go with Cabbage. I ran out of ideas and just went with the flow. I would name it something but I forgot other people could visit this island. So Cabbage it is. It’s not really as bad as it seems

“What are the X marks?” she asked

“I told you, fossils. Did you not pay attention???”

“There were too many information to grasp on and you flaunting out your cleavage is definitely not helping!!!!”

“My cleavage has nothing to do with this!”

“It has everything to do with my focus!!!!!”

Let me just start reading this goddamn book. She can just figure out everything on her own. There’s google, why can’t she just use it??

As I was in the middle of reading my book, I occasionally would peek through Wendy’s progress. Seems like she’s doing well just running around catching butterflies and insects. Most of the time she would yell GOAAATSSSSSSS whenever my villager would pass her by, or more likely my character that goes by the name Baemboo. Blame Wendy for the nicky, I did told her that name was ridiculous but she insisted and went; Bamboo hehehehehehe
