"You're what?!!?" The four captains of wenrene exclaimed together in shock.

"I'm cancelling the plan." Wendy repeated again in a serious tone that made it clear that the decision was final and not to be changed.

"But unnie why? I know that step three didn't work out but we have more things we can try out!" Yeri argued, "and you and Irene unnie are definitely closer than before, so why would you stop it?"

"Because it's only causing trouble for Irene unnie and that's the last thing that I want. Plus, she rejected me already so there's no point in trying anymore now is there?" Wendy said with a shrug.

"Eh!"

"Rejected you? When?"

"You're giving up that easily?"

All the replies made Wendy sigh, but she felt that she owed the four of them an explanation after all the trouble they went through the past months to help her.

"It's time you guys. Irene unnie is graduating by the end of this week and then she'll be off to college where she'll be swarmed with college work and trying to adjust to a new environment. If I keep on trying to court her even though she told me no already, then I'll be a nuisance to her that'll make her life harder than it needs to be. Because I truely do love her, I'm going to let her go and cheer her on as I too focus on my future." Wendy ended, feeling a slight ache in her chest at what she had just confessed.

The four others stared at her in shock, not believing that this is how the tale is going to end.
