Chapter 11
My Sister’s Best FriendThe life of a college student was tough, to say the least. Now instead of just six continuous hours of school where Irene had the same subjects everyday, she had to deal with different classes at different times with varying levels of difficulties. And if that wasn't enough, she was also dealing with a new environment where people were much friendlier than she was comfortable with. Guys coming up to ask for her number and compliment her pretty face, girls sneaking in requests of her presence at group dates in hopes of attracting more attention, others staring blatantly or whispering about her right in front of her. It was all very stressful for the introverted and shy girl.
There were, however, some good things at her university, after all there's two sides to everything. The number one thing that she would admit is great is being able to see Taeyeon daily again. Having her best friend attend the same college had made it possible for the raven haired girl to actually make some friends, such as Tiffany (who she learned is Taeyeon's roommate and college best friend, the girl was actually very pleasant and it seems as though her physical affection was something that's very common to all her friends), Solar (she met her in her economics class and the girl's dorkable ways put her at ease and made her comfortable enough to enjoy her company), and last but not least Kim Jennie.
She had met Jennie at the campus coffee shop at a time when it was very crowded. Irene had been sitting at a table by herself, editing her biology paper, when someone had tapped her on the shoulder to gain her attention. When she had turned around startled, the breath was knocked out of her chest at how pretty the other girl was. Jennie had asked her if she could sit with her seeing as there were no other available seats, and a stammering and blushing Irene had replied yes without a second thought. Throughout the time the two had spent in the coffeshop, Irene had stolen no less that fifty glances at the other girl, quite captivated by her beauty. When time had come for Irene to go to class, she had regretfully packed her things and left, saying a timid goodbye to the other girl which was returned by a breathtaking smile that left Irene distracted throughout class.
Fortunately for Irene, the two's meetups at the coffeehouse became a regular occurance and before she knew it, fall had passed and the two now considered each other very close friends, depsite the obvious sparks that fly bet
