Yejin hold her phone in the air, wide-eyed, surprised that Baekhyun came into her room so casually like that. “Kind of,” she replied and put her phone down and started randomly typing on her laptop to avoid eye contact.

Baekhyun knew she was trying to ignore him, but he needed to talk to her. “I have something important to tell you,” he said, leaning his side body to the wall, hands folded, while looking at Yejin at a distance. “What is it?” Yejin said, still trying to avoid his eyes by looking at whatever that was on her screen.

“I knew you met Jaehee today,” he said which made Yejin stopped typing. “I’m here to talk about that,” he continued.

Yejin looked at him, “Oh, I think I already know everything that I needed to know. So as long as you take care of it soon, I’m gonna be fine with that,” she said coldly. She thought he came to apologize but instead he just provoked her.

“I will, but I’m,” he stopped for a while to take a deep breath. “I’m sorry,” he apologized.

Yejin looked blankly at the wall. Though she did hope for it, she never really expect that Baekhyun would actually apologize. “Didn’t know that you know how to apologize, but thanks,” Yejin said.

Baekhyun furrowed his brows, “Of course I know, I was just not in the right mind,” Baekhyun confessed. “I’d really love it if we can fix whatever problems we have,” he suggested which came as a surprise to Yejin. She looked at him with the “how” look. “Our parents are getting married soon. I think we need to get along to support them, don’t we?” He said with a calm tone, again leaving Yejin speechless of his sudden change of attitude.

“Well, yeah, I guess,” she said quietly, looking down at her thigh. She looked up again to find Baekhyun lightly smiling. Her heartbeat dropped for a second before it started to beat faster.

“Great, let’s start this over,” he said as he extended his hand out to her, “My name is Baekhyun.” She was getting confused yet amused. She looked at his hand before she slowly took his hand to meet hers, “I, I’m Yejin,” she stuttered. Baekhyun surprisingly gripped her hand quite tight but not hurting her at all, more like assuring her that everything was fine now. After they “reconciled or started over”, Baekhyun left the room.

Yejin was overwhelmed by his actions, starting from day one until today. It has only been what, a week? There were already so many things that happened. She shut her laptop off and got ready for bed, still thinking about how she and Baekhyun ‘reconciled’ a few hours ago. Though, the fact that she was that easy to be convinced did not come across her mind at all. She checked her phone while laying herself down to her bed, 1:32 a.m.

She snuggled into her bed, trying to be comfortable when suddenly her eyes shot opened, remembered that she had not replied Taehyung. She quickly searched her phone by her pillow and sat on her bottom to open the message from Taehyung.

(10.26 p.m) Let’s go on a date?

(01:37 a.m) Yes, sure!

Finally, she replied to his text. She hesitated if she needed to explain what was taking her forever to reply. She was arguing with herself back and forth whether it’s gonna make her look like she cared too much. In the end, she decided not to tell, unless he asked. Logical right? Of course, Taehyung did not reply her, so she drifted off to sleep.

She woke up the next morning, first thing that on her mind was Baekhyun and how he gently smiled at her as they reconciled, not Taehyung who she was supposed to have a date with. She knew she shouldn’t have felt that way, but she couldn’t help but to be happy about it. She high key looked forward to what was going to happen between them after that.

Baekhyun woke up looking that the time, it was almost noon. First thing that came to his mind was whether Yejin was still in the room or she already left. Considering that she’s attending college, she would probably already leave since its past 11.

Baekhyun went down the stairs, surprised when he saw Yejin was sitting at the dining table with her mom. The ladies were not aware of Baekhyun coming because they seemed like they’re in a serious conversation. Baekhyun took two steps back up and hid himself, wanting to know what they were talking about.
