So Min tried her best to recall the instructions that Yugyeom gave her. Was it the second drawer from the top? Or the second one from the bottom?

So Min tried her luck at the second drawer from the top and the car keys that Yugyeom mentioned stared right back at her. She took it out carefully, not wanting to mess up the other things in the drawer and slipped it into her pocket. She grabbed the files that Yugyeom told her to as well before heading out of Jungkook’s office.

She stopped by her table, gathering her belongings and her laptop before she made her way down to the carpark.

So Min spotted the white Mercedes-Benz the moment she stepped out of the lift. She unlocked the doors with the key and placed the files and her belongings in the passenger seat.

She got into the driver’s seat carefully, afraid that she might somehow damage Jungkook’s car. She started the engine and buckled her seatbelt before driving off, not needing the navigation since she knew the way.

She arrived at her destination shortly after, Jungkook’s residence was only a fifteen minutes’ drive from the office if the roads were clear. Considering that it was nearing midnight, there weren’t many cars on the road.

So Min double checked that she had locked the doors before climbing up the stairs to Jungkook’s mansion, using the passcode that Yugyeom had texted her to unlock the front door.

The entire house was in complete darkness, stopping So Min in her tracks and her heart beat picked up a little. She wasn’t a fan of the dark.

She took a step in hesitantly and a light lit up automatically above her, illuminating the porch. She closed the door behind her and took off her shoes, flipping the row of switches on the wall next to her and Jungkook’s house lit up right after.

So Min padded down the long corridor carefully, feeling like she was intruding. The kitchen came into sight soon and So Min set down the files on the counter. She caught sight of the bag of medications that were lying near her and saw that they were untouched.

Could it be that he hasn’t eaten anything for the entire day? So Min thought as she glanced at the clock.

She bit her lower lip hesitantly before she approached the refrigerator and opening it. There was nothing else but bottles of mineral water in it. So Min couldn’t help but to feel like it was a waste for such a huge refrigerator to hold nothing but bottles of mineral water.

Suddenly recalling that there was a mini grocery store that was open round the clock downstairs, So Min hurriedly left with only some cash and her phone.

She bought some vegetables, a pack of beef, kimchi and a small bag of rice in case Jungkook didn’t have any. She quickly got down to work after she was back in Jungkook’s kitchen, cleaning and chopping the vegetables expertly.

She worked as quietly and quickly as she could, afraid that she would wake Jungkook up. She wasn’t sure if Jungkook minded that a near stranger was in his apartment, not to ment
