“Nature of humans tells, the body to keep working to stay alive, the moment it’s stopped the moment this dark creepy thing take control and make the body function as he want, and what can control the human body except the brain? So that why the eyes are the last to heal because it’s the place visible to us near the brain, in fact if you make a radio for that woman head you will find the upper side of it all black” Baekhyun explain to the general why that woman still have black eyes even if she look like getting cured

“So that why they act aggressively?” The general asked “they want to kill each other to have more like them”

Baekhyun shake his head “it’s not killing, if they died we can’t heal them right?” He said as a fact shrugging his shoulders “we are no gods! Neither it/he/she is! I don’t know what to call it, but for those who get infected by a scratches it use that part to make it worse by spreading the pain throw the whole body, to make the body weaker and after it can’t function it takes control. but that take time to transfer so better attack people to make it quicker”

the general nodded “better not make them closer then”

“Yep!” Baekhyun nodded looking at the first vaccin he invented with a smile, at least he found a cure, and he need to take it to the two he know, probably the military won’t give a damn about them, they will kill everyone that went crazy, and cure those who just got scratched, 

“just wait for me, I will save you both even on my dead body” he smiled softly thinking of the kiss

Chanyeol saw the view in front of him, he saw the little figure, on that ground, around million pieces of broken glass, with blood on his face and body, he runs to his direction screaming his name, he want to grab him but he didn’t know if he will make it worse, but still he need to check if he is alive or not, falling on his knee on that shuddered glass, now he can’t care much about his injuries, “Baek!” He called faintly and touch his face that was now having wounds all over it, 

“E..”

Chanyeol heart skip a beat when he heard that faint voice and saw Baekhyun fingers moving

“Hey hey you’re okay” Chanyeol said taking him in his arms, “you will be fine” he saw how much the little one struggles even to breath now, he open his eyes and look at him, “V”

Chanyeol tried to hear him, and he clearly heard one letter that he called his brother with “his fine, he didn’t get hurt”

Baekhyun smiled hearing the words and close his eyes again

“No! Baekhyun stay with me!” Chanyeol said with tears start to fall from his eyes “Baek! Open your eyes!” But the other didn’t open his eyes “BAEKHYUN!”

Kyungsoo close his eyes, fighting the tears inside, he was standing there, he heard Taehyung voice, and called him to come, seeing how the other just got mentally break down because of his now dead brother, He catches him and tried to reason him...but the boy was crying and screaming none-stop, he absolutely blame himself at this moment, if he was better pilot this won’t happen, if he maybe just catch him before they crushed this might not happened but it did...and facts can’t be changed

He look around, the place was quiet, maybe much more quiet then it should be, he saw Jungkook coming and Hugging Taehyung, and the other gladly accept to cry more and more on his chest, 

“We need to move” He said standing and moving to the backpack taking one vaccine, and went all the way to Chanyeol injecting his arm with it. “He came all the way here to cure both of you let not waist his efforts” 

Kyungsoo went to Jungkook with an other vaccin but Jungkook pointes to an already injection mark

Kyungsoo nodded, and went to Chanyeol “let’s move”

Chanyeol didn’t left Baekhyun dead body from his arms

“Let’s go Chanyeol” Kyungsoo said again, it’s not like he didn’t feel the pain of loosing a person he was starting to get close to, no, he saw in Baekhyun the goodness he didn’t see for years, but loosing so many in his work make his heart accept death more faster. 

He grab Chanyeol and drag him out from the dead one, “move!” He said and Chanyeol stands eyes didn’t left the closed ones “am not leaving him here”

Kyungsoo nodded “okay, let put him in one of the houses”

Chanyeol nodded lean down and carried Baekhyun bridal style, the boy weight was like a feather for him, he move inside that building they were in and Kyungsoo went forward opening the way for him

Taehyung unconsciously stands and went behind Chanyeol, his tears didn’t stop yet but his mind doesn’t want to be far from him, he felt a grab stoping him from following, he turn to see Jungkook catching him

“Let me go” Taehyung said in anger but Jungkook shake his head, he wanted to scream that it will be more hard for him, but his voice wasn’t helping him yet

“LET ME GO!” Taehyung yells hitting Jungkook but the later didn’t left him

Taehyung didn’t stop crying “please!” He said between his sobs and felt Jungkook hugging him again, 

“it will be more hard”

Taehyung heard the other whisper in his ears.

Chanyeol put the dead body on a bed in a room, he play with his hair for the first and the last time, how weird he feel this much hurt for someone he met for one day, for no reason he start to like this boy, but his feelings couldn’t even have the chance to bloom, or he couldn’t even tell him he liked the kiss, Chanyeol close his eyes and take an inhale of sadness, he move his arms around his neck and take his necklace, and putting it on Baekhyun hand and close it, then leaving that room hoping that they somehow meet in another life with better circumstances.

He went out and move to Taehyung who was still crying on Jungkook chest, he rubs his back with “am sorry, it because of us” he know that coming here is his fault, Taehyung turn to look at Chanyeol in a red eyes and a mess,

Kyungsoo in the other hand move away to a random street “hey guys their is a car over there!” He said running to that direction, well he won’t stay inside this city for a single minute, he can’t see another civilian hurt, or another friend, he promised Baekhyun before to keep him safe but he failed, now he can’t fail again.

“Let’s go” Chanyeol look at Taehyung, but Taehyung shake his head, his sobs stopped now and he clearly said “you guys go”

Chanyeol raise an eyebrow

Taehyung look at them “I can’t leave him here, I can’t go back without him, I can’t live another second thinking that...” his voice start to crack again “..that because I insist on him to visit mom grave, and now...both are dead because of me”

Chanyeol couldn’t say much, he doesn’t know what happened to the mother but he know he can’t let the boy here! because he know at this state he might kill himself.

Jungkook look at Taehyung “am sorry!” He barely said louder and hit Taehyung making the guy faint, Chanyeol eyes got wide open at the quick action, he just grabs Taehyung suddenly and look at Jungkook surprised

Jungkook voice wasn’t loud but was hearable he look at Chanyeol with a frown “we lost one I can’t lose another” he said putting his shoulder under Taehyung arm “let leave this cursed city”

Chanyeol nodded and help him dragging Taehyung to where Kyungsoo was, getting in that car, where Kyungsoo hit the gaz and drive as fast as he can between the damaged city.

“Mom Dad am back!” Little Taehyung came back from his school, he put his backpack on the ground and immediately went searching for his mother, usually she would be on her room, because his father said that his mother is sick and need to be at her room, 

He went all the way to her room and knock the door, “mom am home” but he didn’t find anyone there, he pouted and went to the kitchen, it was an open kitchen and he pass it when he came in not seeing his mother there. 

He went to the fridge and saw a note from Baekhyun on it

-I prepare Lunch when I come I won’t be late count to 100 and I will be there ^^ ur cute hyung! :) -

Little Taehyung innocently believing what he read, he close his eyes and start counting, 

“1 - 2 - 3....”

He kept counting till he was now on the 80 something.. but stopped when he heard a breaking voice

Taehyung turn around to look at the empty house “Hyung?” he called thinking that maybe Baekhyun came back, he move to the outside door but it was closed

‘SMACH’

Taehyung heard the voice again, and turn to it direction that was clear now, “mom?” He said looking at the bathroom direction, the doors were slightly opened, he went closer and closer till he got a clear vision of the inside, he saw his mother standing there with syringe all over the ground, she look at him and smiled “TAEHYUNG’NAA!” She said with a happy loud voice “your home! OMMA MISSED YOU”

Taehyung look at her, well she was weird, even for a 8 years old kid she was acting weird, he saw her taking one needle and look at him “Taehyung’naa come and see what Omma see” she said and laughed a hysterical laugh grabbing his arm and dig that long needle on his little arm till it came out from the other side, he screams louder in pain, and runs a fast as he can up to Baekhyun room, closing the door behind him and running under the bed hiding, 

First he didn’t hear a voice but after he heard a slams on that door then hits, and kicks, “baby open up! Am sorry did I scare you?”

Taehyung didn’t left the under the bed place, and the hits didn’t stop, 

“Oh God! mom! Stop! put the knife down” 

Taehyung heard Baekhyun voice from outside but after it were screams and hits and pleadings, Taehyung went from the hiding place to the door opening it, he look at the knife trace on the doors, and went down where he can still hear the two voices

He take a peak and saw a youth Baekhyun holding their mother hands, trying to stop her, “STOP!? YOU PROMISED YOU WILL STOP TAKING DRUGS”

The mother laughed and look behind at that peeking face to them, she screamed pushing Baekhyun from her and took the knife running to Taehyung direction, 

Taehyung just fall back in fear seeing that knife coming to his direction, fast he close his eyes, but heard Baekhyun scream

“STOP!”

And a knife dropped between his legs, he open his eyes to see his mother stands in front of him, and Baekhyun stabbing her with another knife from behind, at that moment their father came, and what he saw is just his wife falling on Taehyung and hugged him with “Daddy home! your safe now” and a smile

“WHAT DID YOU DO!” their father came fast to his wife, but the mother start to bleed from , “WHY YOU KILLED HER!” the father screamed in anger but Baekhyun didn’t reply he just run out from that house, and that was the last time he saw him...

For his bad luck the low didn’t believe a testimony of a kid, but they focus on what the father saw, a mother protecting her little child...

Taehyung open his eyes, how funny to dream about the past in a moment like this, he look around and saw himself in a car, Jungkook next to him, Kyungsoo driving and Chanyeol on the front seat “you okay?” He heard Jungkook asking but he didn’t reply, how can he feel okay, no he feel empty, he just turn to look at the window, they were in the highway, and clearly that same road they came from, no houses around and nothing, so they must be now way out of the city.

“Don’t make it hard on yourself, Baekhyun want you to live Taehyung” Kyungsoo said behind the steering wheel “am sure he knew the circumstances but he wanted to save you”

Taehyung clearly heard the words but didn’t reply or move his eyes from that window view 

“And he did! So please don’t make him regret it where ever he is right now”
