It has been a month and half after her breakup. Yena has left the area and move to another forest, far away from her previous place. Her heart was still suffering since the night Yuri left her side, she was having a tiny bit of hope that the girl would hold onto her.

But she guessed it can’t be helped any other way. Assuring herself that this is indeed the best decision for both of them, especially for Yuri. Besides, she has done this multiple times before. Leaving things behind and continue with her dull life.

It’s different from when she left Chaewon before, though. She admitted that Jo Yuri has paved her way in the deepest place of her heart, like it can’t be stopped even if they are no longer together.

Maybe it’s just a matter of time.

As per usual, Yena did jog every day, in every morning. She made her way to a waterfall within the forest she’s currently live in. The rapids in river beneath the waterfall shed even her sorrow. She walked over, washing her face with the water from it before she sense a quick and rhythmical footsteps coming closer to her direction.

But Yena didn’t care, it would have be just Chaewon who finally find her whereabouts again.

“Here you are, Yena-chan, or I should call you with Yena-unnie here,” it was an unfamiliar voice for Yena’s ears but she felt like she has heard of this voice before. And it was definitely not Chaewon’s.

Curious with the unfamiliar yet familiar voice, Yena turned her body around and froze right after that, face hardened and stiff. She was so surprised that she had to rub her eyes roughly, thinking that it might be tricking her in the morning.

An unfamiliar lycanthrope was coming in her vision, dashing to where Yena was standing near the river before transforming into a human form. The figure then grabbed Yena’s collar, it could be seen clearly that anger has been boiling up inside this person.

“Hitomi..?”

Yena was in a daze, in utter shock, and confused as to why and how Hitomi, her Japanese friend, was still... alive?

“Yes, it’s me, Yena-unnie,” the smaller girl tightened her grab on Yena, eyes were in flare.

“Hitomaaa, stop!!” another voice cut off their not-so-good little reunion, coming through in a second. This time, it was Chaewon sprinting in her lycanthrope form then holding back Hitomi making the latter release her grab forcefully.

“Hitoma, I know you’re angry at Yena but let her go. We can talk it out,” Chaewon said as she transformed her body, still wrapping her arms around Hitomi.

Bewildered with the situation, Yena kind of getting a hunch and spoke in disbelief. “Chaewon-ah, don’t tell me you...”

“I have no choice, Yena. I saw our friends were dying after you...” she swallowed for a moment, not meaning to blame Yena for what happened to their Japanese friends. “... And the only way to save them is by turning them into a lycanthrope too,” Chaewon narrowed her eyes. “But the only one I could save is... her. It was too late for Sakura and Nako...”

“I...” Yena didn’t know what to say, she was happy to see that Hitomi is still alive but the rests are... It was saddening for her as the guilt feelings were coming back in a flash, once again resurfaced after a long time. She hung her head down, “I’m sorry, Hitomi...” That’s the only words that came out.
