Secret Admirer
Me, Yana, Karina, and Holly all walked fast toward the school park, which was a good ten-minute walk from the favorite spot. "What do you think he looks like?"
"What if he turns out to be a really really ugly dude?"
"Or a stalker?! Oh no what are you gonna do _________?!"
"Hmm... I can always nicely reject him, right? I mean, if he's been this nice then I guess he wouldn't force himself on me like that... right?" I looked at my friends, who just shrugged.
"Whatever. The point is YOU'LL FINALLY BE BLE TO MEET HIM!!!" Yana squealed. "Why can't I find anyone?"
"I'm sure you'll find someone Yana!" I looked at her, "You're pretty!"
"Yes. Yes I am," Yana looked at me seriously. All of us just laughed.
"OHHHHHHH! I can see someone there!" Karina pointed to a figure seated on one of the park's benches.
"Wait! He looks familiar..." I squinted my eyes. Holly's right.
"He looks like... GAB?!"
All of us ran towards the figure. Sure enough, it was Gab seated on the bench, holding his guitar.
"OH NO GAB DON'T TELL ME YOU'RE THE ONE GIVING ME THE ROSES?!"
Gab laughed, "Eww, I don't like you _________." He stood up, "Sit here, all of you." With raised eyebrows, we all sat down on the bench Gab was just sitting on.
"Happy birthday, _________," he smiled and started playing the guitar, the same time a song started playing.

One by one, my friends Josh, Mico, Aug, and Trixie (yes, she's a girl) appeared and started singing the song playing, Gab still playing the chords on the guitar. Now I just noticed: all of them are wearing tuxes, even Trixie!
Wait, so they really planned this for me?! What's going on?
"Oh my god they're the ones who gave you the roses?!" Karina looked at me.
"I don't understand... What the hell is going on?" I asked out loud as they continued singing.
Finally, the song ended, and all five of them took out a white rose from their backs and presented it to me, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY _________!!!"
"This- ALL OF YOU WERE THE ONES WHO GAVE ME THE ROSES?!" Tears were already threatening to escape my eyes.
"Yep!" Trixie beamed. "You know we love you so much, so we decided to give you a very special gift for your birthday!"
"Did you know anything about this?" I looked at Yana, Holly, and Karina.
"No way!" "I wouldn't do that to you!" "Mico's the douche!"
"I'M NOT A DOUCHE!" Mico shrieked. Yes, shrieked.
"I know you might think we're douches," Josh said, "but we didn't know how else to surprise you! Happy birthday!"
"You guys!!!" I stood up and started hitting them, tears falling down, "I hate you so much! I actually thought it was a really really cute guy who really really liked me!"
"So you're saying we're not cute?!" Mico looked at me and feigned hurt.
"OF COURSE YOU'RE NOT CUTE!" I hit Mico extra hard, "Look at your face!"
"Ugh! This face?!" He pointed to his face, "I'm more handsome than Lee Minho!"
"EWWWWWW WHY ARE YOU MY FRIEND?!" I hit Mico again.
"So, you don't hate us?" Trixie looked at me with hopeful eyes.
"Why would I hate you?!" I looked at her.
"You're crying..."
"BECAUSE THIS IS THE BEST BIRTHDAY PRESENT EVER!" I beamed and looked at them. "I know it's douche-y that you did that, and if I were any normal-thinking person, I'd hate you. But you're my friends, and I'm not normal, so I forgive you!" I smiled again. "Except Mico though."
"UGH!" He hit me again.
"So this really is the best gift you've received?!" Aug beamed at me.
"Maybe Yana's cheesecake is just a teensy bit better," I beamed.
"YANA MADE YOU A CHEESECAKE?! I WANT!" Josh jumped up and down.
"We finished all of it already. HA HA!" Holly mocked.
"Not fair! Now I'm hungry! Let's eat!"
"Yes! Let's treat _________ to an amazing dinner for an apology!" All of them started walking to Josh's car.
"WAIT!!!!" They all stopped and looked at me. I pulled out my phone, "I want to tweet this! Imma take your picture!"
I snapped a picture of the five of them wearing tuxes and tweeted with the picture attached:
TWEET: The people who gave me the roses. So it wasn't someone who romantically liked me. Oh well. Best birthday? Yes!
All nine of us were at our favorite nearby restaurant, chatting while eating. I looked at all of them and smiled.
True, I expected a really nice guy who romantically liked me to be standing in the park with a bouquet of roses in his hands, ready to confess to me. And I was hurt when they said that it was their plan simply for my birthday. But still, they really made an effort to do it. And I'm not even their best friend or anything. So I really appreciate it. Even if other people might tell me to hate them, how can I?
TWEET: I admit: I was a tad hurt. But I can't stay mad at such thoughtful people. I love my friends :D
That night, when I went home, I checked my Twitter account and saw that someone DM-ed me.

You guys wanna know a secret? The lead girl's friends on BOTH TS and SA are real names of my friends :)) Meaning, I really have friends named Denise, April, Isay, Jan, Tim, Yana, Holly, Karina, Gab, Josh, Mico, Aug, and Trixie :D
And that's how me and Mico, my friend, really talk. =)) He thinks he's handsome.
Oh well.
