"Ne, kamsahamnida, seonsaengnim!" I stood up and shook Mr. Nam's hand. We already finished this interview! Which only means one thing: ALL THE INTERVIEWS ARE DONE!!!
"Geurae," he laughed. "Dareun munjaega isseomyeon nareul belleo [If you have other questions, call me]."
"Ne, algesseumnida," I beamed.
"Thank you sir," Lance bowed. Yeah this is the Thursday interview, the one he promised he'd accompany me in. He didn't do much, really: just sat there and tried to understand anything when he didn't.
Mr. Nam laughed again before exiting the room. I heard him say though, in Korean: 'Poor guy, not even understanding when I laughed about him.' I laughed, better remember not to put that in the transcript.
"Why did he keep on laughing?" Lance asked as we were walking out to the parking lot.
Remembering what Mr. Nam said about him, I laughed. "It's nothing, but don't expect to see it in the transcript."
"I should probably start learning Korean to know what he meant," he laughed.
"He used a lot of difficult words to describe you; words that I only found out from watching too many dramas. Good luck."
"Not fair," he laughed. "Well, where do you wanna go next?"
I looked at him, "Home?"
"Seriously? Home?" he chuckled. What? I wanna go home! "Aren't you hungry?"
"I can eat at home, really," I smiled.
"There's a good restaurant nearby. Come on, I'll treat you." Lance looked at me with almost pleading eyes. So naturally, I really didn't have any choice but to nod. I am pretty hungry anyway...
He beamed and drove to an Italian resturant just around five minutes away from the building we came from. I've never been here with anyone else, but it looks like a pretty comfy place to eat in. And there a re quite a lot of people too. I should definitely go here with my friends or family next time. Or maybe with Youngbae...
"I'm paying for my own food, okay?" I told Lance as we sat on the table the waiter escorted us to.
"Fine fine," he laughed. "The pasta here is really nice. It's also plated for one person each so yeah. We can order one pasta for each of us, then order one pizza pan."
"Yeah, that's a good idea," I smiled and looked at the menu. I think this dinner's a good idea, though. Maybe Lance and I can be friends.
A while after the waiter came back for our orders, "Have you decided on your orders?"
"Yeah," Lance nodded, "I'll have a bolognese. What about you?" He looked at me.
"Pesto," I looked at the waiter and smiled. "Err, can the pizza be the all-meat one?"
"Yeah, sure," Lance looked at the waiter. "We'll have the all-meat pizza, and a pitcher of iced tea."
"Alright, let me just repeat your order: one bolognese pasta, one pesto pasta, one all-meat pizza pan, and one pitcher of iced tea."
"Yes, oh! And can you also give us service water?" I smiled at him.
"Yes, ma'am," the waiter smiled and took the menus from us. "Your food will arrive in 10 to 15 minutes," and he left.
"Really? All-meat pizza?" Lance laughed. "Aren't you on a diet on something?"
I looked at myself and frowned, "Does it look like I'm on a diet?"
"You're a bit on the thinner side, so I thought..." he laughed.
"Yeah," I laughed. "I don't know why though." [a/n: I wish I was on the thinner side too =))))]
"Well, it would be good to get some food in you. Did you eat today?"
"A sandwich, I think," I laughed. "I had to do one of the longer papers during my lunch today."
"Then you should finish all the food when it comes," he laughed.
"Right, make me a pig right now," I laughed.
The food came a few minutes later and we both started eating. The food was rreally good, to be honest. And I didn't even realize that I was so hungry until I ate my first bite.
"The food's good?" Lance looked at me.
"Really good," I laughed. "I should go back here sometime later."
"We should come back here when we've finished the report," Lance laughed.
"Eh... But I wasn't planning on going back here with you," I laughed.
Lanced feigned hurt, "Yeah right, just forget about me. Thanks a lot."
"Yeah, of course," I laughed.
We both talked about a whole lot of other stuff until all the food magically disappeared from the plates into our stomachs. Yep, definitely going back here with Yana and the others next time. I didn't want Lance to take me home so I just let Lance drop me off at the bus stop near where we had dinner. Not that I don't trust him, it's just that... yeah, I don't.
In the back of my mind, I'm always thinking about what Youngbae would think.
