"Yeboseyo?"
"Hey, _________, it's me, Lance."
"...Oh! Lance... Hi!" Uh, why is it always this awkward to talk to him?
Finally, the two week break after the semester! I'm just here, lounging around in my room when Lance called. WHY DID YOU HAVE TO CALL AND RUIN MY QUIET TIME?!
"So, ready to take up that celebratory dinner I offered?" I can feel he was smiling from the other line.
"Like, now?!" Please say no please say no please say no please say n-
"Yeah! Unless you're doing something important right now?" WHY DID YOU NOT SAY NO?!
"Err... Well..."
"And don't say that you're resting; that's not an excuse," he laughed.
"Dang, you got me," I tried to laugh too, but I think it came out as an awkward laugh.
"So, you up for it? Dinner?"
Should I say yes, or no? If I say yes, and it is true that he likes me, I might just lead him on, which I do not ever want to do. If I say no though, it might just come out as rude, since he already knows that I'm not really busy right now. But I'm so scared to say either! What should I do???
"Sure," I blurted out. OH GREAT.
"Really?! Cool! Where should I pick you up?"
"Err..." Not at home, definitely. I do not want him anywhere near my area. Don't ask me why, it's just my personal opinion. I mean, I don't even know him enough. "At school?"
"Sure, okay!" I swear, he must be jumping around right now. "6PM at school, okay?"
"Yah, sure," I tried to smile... didn't work though.
"Okay, see you later! Bye!" and he hung up.
So, what did I just do? WHAT THE HELL DID I JUST DO?! I'm so stupid! UGH. I don't even-
Okay, he's just a friend. Just a friend. And this dinner is just to celebrate the two of us finishing our history project, that's all. Nothing more. I can (hopefully) be less, but not more. Okay? Okay.
So, I finally pulled myself to the bathroom and took a bath, got dressed in simple clothes (t-shirt, jeans, a cardigan, and flats) and went to school to wait for Lance. I'm hoping it's not some fancy-ish restaurant I can't afford to buy food from, or else I will order take out from McDonald's and eat it there, which doesn't sound like a bad idea, really! I like it! I can already imagine myself in those fancy restaurants eating a Big Mac with large french fries. Yummy!
"Hey!" My awesome daydream about food was interrupted by Lance getting out of his car and excitedly walking towards me.
"Hi," I just waved, not really matching up to his enthusiasm.
"You ready to go?" he smiled.
"As long as we're not eating at a fancy restaurant, I'm good," I laughed as the two of us walked to his car.
Lance just chuckled and looked at me, "Dang, you got me." I stopped and looked at him, for two reasons: one, THAT IS SO MY LINE FROM JUST A WHILE AGO; and two, WTF?!
"Okay, I'm getting takeout from McDonald's," I laughed.
"Come on, you didn't make me pay the last time. It's the least I can do." [a/n: Chapter 34 for those who forgot :)]
"Seriously, I can buy my own food." Because I do not want to feel indebted to you!
"Hey, come on, please? It's just this once anyways. I really wanna treat you, okay?"
I looked at him as he drove and finally decided on letting him treat me. Whatever, I don't care anymore. "Fine. I'm ordering the most expensive one, though."
"Already beat you to it; got everything reserved already," he laughed. W- Why would he get everything reserved already??? Oh no what's going on???
We finally arrived at the restaurant and like Lance said, he already got a table reserved for us. And the food's been ordered too. It looks like he's already been planning this for a while. Creepy, really. The soup came about ten minutes after we arrived, we just talked a bit while waiting. Pretty awkward, to be honest, at least on my part. I just feel really weird about the whole set-up. It's really romantic, the set-up. It's some place that I wish I could go to with Youngbae oppa.
We were already in the middle of eating the main course (which was the fancy steak with mashed potatoes and vegetables on the side, and gravy) when Lance cleared his throat. I looked at him and saw that he was looking up at me all seriously.
"Hm?" I asked.
"_________," he took a deep breath. "I like you."

Okay, to explain myself: I'm gonna be really really busy this weekend (org + fanclub), so I won't be able to update, so I just wrote my chapter quota now and updated! Yay!!!
