chat: Monarock99
Authors' Fun TimeNow we have another superb writer with us! who is like a sister to me! so plz welcome Monarock99!!
1.what is your aff user name?
1.) Hello, Annyeonghaseyo, Namaste, sat sri akal, this is Monarock99 (I know, cheesy username. Don't blame me I was a cranky teenager that time)
2.How many stories have you published so far in aff?
2.) Watch me shamelessly promote my stories.
Till now, I have published 3 stories and 1 Manga recommendation book.
i) love of devil(vkook)
ii)he is not mine or yours, he is ours (vkook)
iii)Multiple keys (vkook)
iv)Manga paradise
Yes, I am a vkook trash.
3.Do you write on a perticular fandom?
3) Yes, BTS.
I have been an ARMY for four years now, and BTS was the only reason why I started writing stories on Aff in the first place. My otps are Vkook, yoonmin and Namjin, so you will only find me writing about them.
4.Generally what is your source of inspiration or motivation to write?
4)Everything.
Might sound a little crazy but I even get inspired by the way a mere person conducts themselves (that is for character build-up).
Trust me, everything around you is an inspiration. You just need to discern it from normality.
Also, I am a Manga, Anime, K-pop and book freak, so that works too in getting inspiration.
5.Many authors suffer from writers block sometime..How do you think they should deal with it?
5) No comments because I have no idea.
6.If you place yourself as a reader..which element in a story catches the attention of a reader?
6) Suspense.
Though suspense is a genre itself I believe many stories (not all) of any genre are empty without it.
let it be romance, thriller and science fiction etc, there should be some elements keeping you at the edge of your seat while you scream "WHAT THE HECK IS GOING TO HAPPEN NEXT?" Or "OH MY GOD, OH MY GOD, THEY ARE GONNA KISSSSS!!" hehe there are more such examples. Sorry, can't list all.
7.How would you deal with negative comments on your story. Do you think criticizing comment influences on a writer's mind in a better way?
7) I usually don't get any harsh/negative comment on my stories, but if I do, I don't react much to them.
Again, there are two types of criticizing, good and bad.
"Good criticizing" is when the person behind the screen is making a sensible comment and wants you to improve. he/she loves you, they care for you.
Example: "Author-nim, I am sorry but I didn't like these elements because of these reasons in your story, but its just my calm opinion and I don't force it upon anybody else since I am a good and wonderful person who cares about others."
Now comes the "Bad criticizing", I don't think I need to explain this so just see an example:
" $%%&8.bad words" or "Vkook/Taekook boooooo"
After reading these comments I am usually like: "Please, someone decode these, I can't understand this high-level language."
To all the blooming writers out there: Criticism is good, we need it to improve but don't ponder o
