SIDE A: ACCIDENTALLY YOURS

"So the next planning for the 'possible' comeback and concert is due for another 2 weeks correct?"

"Yes." Taeyeon answers and looks at her cousin. "Think it'll be enough time for you and Min to plan for your upcoming wedding?"

Hyoyeon just shrugs. "You know Min, she's totally unpredictable but I'll try to tell her what we've agreed upon today and then update you guys."

"That seems okay to me."

"Fine by me too."

The CEO nods her head. "Well I think that's it for today. Meeting's done."

"Okay." Yuri immediately stands up, surprising everybody.

"Wow, eager to get to the studio buddy? We have a month ahead of us and yet you're locking yourself in that studio."

"For your information buddy, I am not locking myself in the studio."

"So what's gotten you so excited to ditch this meeting?"

"Jessica's got an appointment today and I've got a 1-on-1 parenting pre-birth seminar as well."

Sooyoung blinks in surprise. "Wow Yul, I never thought I'd say this but your relationship with Jessica seems... good these days."

"She's the mother of my child for Pete's sakes, the least that we could do is get along." She answers as she wears her legendary leather jacket. "I'll see you guys around, update me if there's any need to."

The four of them watch Yuri leave the room with her whistling fading in the background. "That did not just happened."

"I know! Get along my ! Everybody in here knows that they're way more than pass that stage now." Hyoyeon states. "Right after the Hani incident, those two were never the same!"

"Agree, she's obviously crushing on Jessica Jung for sure." Sooyoung says in a tone as if she just solved a mystery. "Wonder if Jessica feels the same too."

In the middle of their brain-storming Taeyeon snorts. "Oh she's crushing on her alright."

"Do you know anything about this?" Hyoyeon remarks. "And that reminds me, did you push through your agreement with Jessica?" The CEO nods her head. "What the hell cousin! That's just ed up!"

"Jessica had a choice okay, I gave her a week to decide and it's not my fault if she loves her family and her best friend that much."

"What did I tell you about that? You know how much Yuri is going to be pissed when she finds out! That woman has some serious trust issues!"

"Relax, she'll never find out plus, even if without me pushing through the agreement, Jessica really feels something for her way before all of this destruction happened."

"And how sure are you about that?"

"I can't show all my cards now cousin." She sneakily smiles. "That's for you to know and for me to find out."

 

 

"Is Mrs. Kwon inside?"

"Oh good you're here come along Mrs. Kwon." The doctor ushers them inside her clinic where she sees the brunette laying down.

"Yuri?" She perks her head up. "What are you doing here I thought you had a 1-on-1 parenting seminar?"

"The seminar got postponed they'be informed me earlier but I wasn't able to check on my phone." She sits beside her. "I thought you were nervous about this so I want  to accompany you."

"Aweee, look at you two being so sweet and comfortable." The doctor gushes. "I remember the first time Yuri attended the check-up session! She looked like she was going to pass out!"

The idol couldn't help but roll her eyes. "Can we just get on with this already?"

"Well it's a good thing that you're here because this is a very very important event." She smiles. "You two are going to see your baby for the first time."

 

Yuri's grin couldn't be wider the moment the doctor dropped the news. She feels so excited just the thought of seeing her future kid even through a very small monitor. She turns to Jessica who almost had the same expression as hers but only with a little bit mixture of nervousness. Instead of wondering on how to calm her pregnant wife, she slowly grabs the hand of Jessica, giving a little bit of squeeze before the latter looks at her with a smile.

 

 

 

"You're getting used to this huh?"

Yuri casually shrugs. "Maybe." She says before letting out a smile.

"Alrighty!" The doctor interrupts one of their intimate moments. "Let's get this party started!"

"Doctor before we start, I need to know what type of ultrasound are we making." Yuri asks. "Is it 2D, 3D, 4D or is there a need for us to go to the transl  ultrasound? Or maybe a need for Fetal echocardiography perhaps?"

"No need for the last type of ultrasound Mrs. Kwon."

The idol sighs with relief. "That's good."

"Wait- what's with the type of ultrasound?" Jessica asks curiously.

"There are four types of ultrasound apparently. The 2D is the traditional and classic type of ultrasound whereas the 3D allows the doctor to see the depth of the fetus and other measurements shown it's not available for everyone and it requires someone with the right amount of experience. The 4D creates a video of the fetus and everything else is advanced."

"You know all these stuff?"

"We're gonna do 4D, only because I know you will personally request it anyways." The doctor evenly spreads out the gel against Jessica's abdomen and pelvic area. "You know what's this gel is for?"

"It's helping to get the sound waves to travel properly." Yuri answers. "Don't worry, it's water-based so you woudln't have marks or anything on your clothes or skin."

"And this is?"

"A transducer." The idol answers again.

Ji Eun smiles proudly at her. "Looks like someone's been taking notes."

Jessica looks at her knowingly. "Notes?"

"Yuri asked for some references of books. She bought a few and I'm surprised she had the time to read them."

"They were in their electronic form so it was handy. But, thank you doctor for the references."

"No problem." She smiles back and turns to the star of the day. "Now, shall we travel back and forth to see your baby?"

 

Ji Eun travels the transducer back and forth around the covered area where she asks for Jessica to hold their breathing once in a while. Yuri couldn't help but tap her right foot as she finally waits for the results and was starting to get nervous as well. The brunette on the other hand, noticed the sudden trembling of her wife's hand and gives her a brief glance before giving it a tight squeeze, returning the favor which Yuri was mentally thankful for.

 

"And there it is." She says. "See that little thumping over there?"

"Yes." Both of them say in unison.

"That's the heartbeat of your child."

 

 

The tanned-woman locks her eyes with the screen with the image still unclear in her 20/20 vision. But right after the doctor made some slight difference in her movements, the image was clearer and there it really was... A pretty small figure whose slightly moving inside Jessica's stomach. She gives Jessica a quick look, and sees the tears freely flowing from her eyes. The jet-black haired idol looks back at the monitor continuous movements of her baby. Their baby. Yuri couldn't help but feel emotional, this was it. The first validation to confirm that she was actually going to be a parent in a few months time.

Suddenly she feels a thumb brushes through her cheek and realizes that it was Jessica's thumb. They both look at one another, once again using the power of their non-verbal understanding and they really understood what the other one was trying to say as they both ending have a warm smile plastered on their faces.

 

 

 

"Alright, I'm gonna move this file to the computer so I could give you guys a clear copy."

"Thanks doc." Yuri wipes her tears away.

"But before that, you want to hear another news?"

"Is it good or bad?"

"Good of course."

"Then please do."

"You can now tell the public about your pregnancy."

 

"Won't it be too soon doctor?"

"Of course not. Since the child is under the project Gabriel, the growth progress of the child is going to be slower and more sensitive than the usual pregnancy. Even if your die hard fans would be on their fangirl mode, they would still calculate the child as the honeymoon baby so no worries at all."

\"So what about the gender of the baby?"

"After a month or so." The doctor smiles. "You guys can come back here for the next session and we will see from there if you want to. Congratulations to the both of you."

 

 

 

"Are you tired?" Yuri breaks Jessica's train of thoughts. "Would you like to take a rest?"

"You've practically been putting me into bed rest the entire week Yuri."

"Well you were hurting your back because of the constant activities in the house. I mean- how many times do you think a bonsai needs t? Or- maybe the baby is just stressing you out."

"It could be other things and you heard the doctor, the baby is not the cause of my back pain."

"I still beg to differ." Yuri thinks about what to do for today. "Would you like to walk around the department store first?"

"Don't you have a schedule for today?"

"We're just taking a break for 2 weeks so yeah you could say I am free."

"And your individual activities?"

"Just a few photoshoots and interviews, nothing too extra that I need to be away for days."

"Okay I'll take the offer before you take me back to the dungeon."

"Jes, you know it's not that."

The brunette giggles. "I'm only kidding now come on."

 

They arrived to the department store and just roamed around freely with checking a few things here and there and that includes looking around for the latest trends in fashion, books and novels, musical instruments and other leisure things. While Yuri was busy scanning for the specifications of the latest camera on the market, Jessica's eyes were glued onto the store just across.

Yuri smiles at the salesman and returns the camera to him before dragging the brunette away from the stall and onto the shop which she had her eyes on.

 

 

"Yuri what are we doing here, we shouldn't be here."

"Why not?" She says casually. "We're just looking around."

"But why this shop?" Jessica whispers. "Come on let's head out." She grabs the latter's hand.

"Why not this shop? We're bound to enter these shops soon enough."

"But-"

"Good day may I-" The saleslady chokes up when she realizes who just entered the shop. "-help you hello Mrs. and Mrs. Kwon pleasure of you to visit our shop."

"Hello there Ms. Yoo." Yuri smiles at her. "Can you kindly show us the latest items in your shop?"

"Gladly, right this way."

 

The woman didn't waste any of her time introducing their products once they arrived at the new items area. While the woman busies herself with explaining the products. Jessica also busies herself in observing in how attentive Yuri was whenever she would explain the contents of the products and as if Yuri wasn't already attractive enough just the way she is, hearing her being attentative with every single thing that is involve in her shop just makes her fall for the latter even more.

 

"I'm just checking on the consumer product safety commission if this item's on the trend with the safety precautions."

"I personally would prefer this 3-in-1 stroller. It's much cost-efficient and this brand is totally recommended by my friends."

"But don't you have the baby bouncer with the much stronger material?"

"Do you have an infant seat? I think it would be more convinient since convertible car seat don't have wheeled frames. If you know what I mean."

 

Right after all the introductions the saleslady made, Yuri has finally requested for them to be left alone. While the idol was constantly scanning through the products she chose for check-out the brunette finally gives Yuri a break for her focus by starting a conversation.

 

"You know for a beginner, you do know a lot about these products."

"Besides the books that I am reading, you know how big my family is. With them, there's almost a new addition every month." Jessica giggles. "What? You know what I am saying right now is true."

"Both of your aunties got pregnant at the same year Yuri."

"Don't forget my cousin is also due 3 months from now and my uncles's wife is gonna give birth to their first born anytime." She says. "I seriously can't keep count how many family members are added to ours every single year."

"You want for me to make name tags for them for the next family gathering?"

"Please?" They both chuckle and Yuri shakes her head.

"So you're shopping right now because of the new addition to your family?"

"What?" She snorts. "No, I'm gonna buy them things when they arrive here on this hell hole called earth. I'm buying these stuff in advance." She says. "You know, for our kid."

Jessica could feel the blush in her cheeks creeping as she snaps her head towards her. "A-are you sure?"

"Now that I think about it- I may be way ahead of myself. What if your nearly due and these products no longer pass the safety standards? He can no longer use it by that time! But- I really wouldn't want the saleslady's sales talk go to waste. She has done such an amazing job afterall."

"How about we buy these for the new members of your family?"

"But what about ours? Don't you think it'll get upset because we didn't buy him one?"

"Well... We could buy socks. It's a safe option don't you think? And stop calling our child 'him'. You don't know the gender yet and it'll be totally upset because you use the wrong pronoun every single time you call for it."

"Fine, I'm gonna name this baby ooi."

"Ooi?" Jessica face scrunches in disgust. "You're gonna name the baby ooi?"

"Yeah don't you think it's smart though? You don't like cucumbers but at least once in your life you had a cucumber that you really like." She smiles.

"You do make a fair point so I'm gonna let you do that." She says. "Now can we check out these items so we could leave? If people saw us with these items they're gonna spread rumors fast."

"I don't see anything wrong with that."

"It's gonna cause another thunderstorm Yuri and besides- don't you think we need to consult with Taeyeon first as to how to announce the news to the public?"

"Taeyeon and I already agreed that starting from now we will call the shots and if you're worrying about this causing a thunderstorm, then maybe we should beat them to it."

"What are you talking about?"

"Just trust me and hold onto this." She gives the latter a pair of socks and places her camera. "Alright- I'm gonna need you to smile okay? 3, 2, 1-" Yuri smiles and types in her phone for a while before placing it back on her pocket. "Assa, now you wait here while I go and check out the items."

 

With Yuri gone Jessica feels a sudden buzz at her phone and it was a notification that Yuri just posted a photo on her SNS account. She taps the notification and widens her eyes when she sees a photo of her holding onto the small pair of socks having the entire nursery shop as her background with the caption- I think I'm gonna need a bigger car now since we'll be expanding by two feet.

 

 

 

"Yuri." She approaches the latter who just finished buying the products. "Are... Are you really sure about this?"

"Well there's no going back now right? Besides, we need to make an announcement to the public later on and in my opinion I think it's better for them to hear it directly from me rather them being panicked over some stupid rumor and speculation." She says. "Now, come along we need to buy you a new couch and a reading chair as well..."

"What?" She says in complete disbelief as they exit the shop. "Yuri, we don't need to buy a new one. All I need is extra cushion and we don't have to buy one since I'm pretty sure there's a lot of pillows inside the house."

"Nope, we're gonna buy you a new one."

"We've talked about this already. I don't like it whenever you're buying unneccesary things for me. I don't need them, what we have right now is perfectly fine."

Yuri sighs and turns back to her. "Alright, what if we buy you a new one and we give our current one at Tiffany's? I bet in there you can say that it needs some updating- badly."

The brunette thinks about it for a while before sighing. "Fine, but only because I know how uncomfortable the sofa was back at the apartment."

The idol lets out a triumphant smile. "Then it's settled we're gonna head down to look for a new couch and a reading chair before going home to have dinner." They continue their walk when Jessica breaks the silence again.

"Do you think we made the right decision of announcing it right now? What if the public doesn't welcome it warmly?"

"You don't have to worry about a single thing. Everything's going to be okay."

 

Everything is not okay.

 

From the moment the news came out and spreaded like wild-fire, almost all of the band's fans became Jessica's hater and anti. Just like every usual scandal they've been into, the couple thought that the hate would stop somewhere but to their dismay, which each day passes, everything is just becoming worse and worse that she even had to go to the extent of house arresting Jessica and hiring guards around their house because she has been publicly attacked one time. She was damn lucky that her uncle was there or there was something worst that could've happened that day.

To make the matter worse than it already is, she was being called into a video call conference requested by Mr. Jung himself. Just hearing the formal address of her father-in-law makes her shiver to the bones. She nervously taps the wooden table with her fingers, anxiously waiting for the man's face to appear on the screen. She hungs her head low, trying to think of ways to explain to him but she was cut short when she finally heard-

 

 

 

"Kwon Yuri." Hearing that alone made Yuri want to herself. "Look up because my face is not down there."

She lifts her head up and greets her father-in-law in a very awkward manner. "Good day d-"
