Joy’s pov

“Selene?” Yu Tu calls for me before I head back to bedroom.

“Yes?” I answers with anticipation.

“Thanks for coming back for me. When your body is destroyed, you came to fetch me in your spirit. Used your last little power to seal my memory, brought me to Earth with you and turned me into a kitten. You did that cos you don’t want me to be terrorize of witnessing your death and feel the pain of seeing you in a bodiless state. Frankly speaking, I’m touched that you thought of me even when you are at that condition.” Yu Tu heaves, dropping her shoulders.

“You are welcome!” I smile though she can’t see me. “We are friends more than for 4000 years! You will miss me so bad if I left you alone, right?” I joke a bit.

“Can’t you just admit that you love me?” Yu Tu teases.

“Yaya, I love you so much! Wanna a hug from me?” I mock back and my smile grows bigger.

It is so good to have an old friend back.

But the next moment, my heart aches again.

Didn’t I shut off all my emotion?

Tiger is so important to me that she surpass all my feelings and even affect my thinking?

“A union of a goddess and a mermaid is impossible. You already have tasted the consequences.” My rabbit friend disturbs my train of thoughts and mutters with her back facing me.

“You are still so rude as ever. Turn over to speak and I’m still your master, hope you did recall this.” I chuckle and sit on the floor behind her. I know we will need to have this conversation some time later but I did not expect it to be so fast.

“I think you will thank me for doing this later. So do you agree with my statement?” She chases for my answer but with her back still facing me.

This brat!

I must have spoiled her too much while we are on the moon. *sighs*

“Yes, I know. I’m the goddess of Moon and Yonggie is a mermaid. But my heart yearns for her.” I decides to spill it all out.

“You are too old for her!” She drops this unexpected bomb out of no way.

“What!”

“You are 4000 years old and she is only 2000 years old. You are double her age!” She raises her voice at the last statement.

“What!” My mind can’t function if I should get angry of being called old or if she is telling a joke.

“Fine that is a joke. Now this is not. You are immortal and she is not. Though she can live very long but she is not like you. She will die one day and you will be so hurt. The rate that both of you are seeing one another is killing her. You know about her scales peeling off every time she sees you? I think you know, that is why you cast the darkest forbidden spell hidden in the heaven’s library to extend her lifespan using your powers. It wipes off almost all your powers!” I can feel that she is fuming by the tone she speak now.

“Yu Tu~” I mumbles softly.

“Now who is the rude one, I have yet to finish my piece. Let me finish. And because of that loss of power, while your beloved mermaid gets a little upset at you for not able to turn up on time to one of your meeting, she froze and broke your body into pieces! She murdered you! ”

“YU TU! STOP IT! This is too much! It is not her fault. She does not know that I have lost so much power that I could not fend off her spell. Don’t blame her. She is innocent!” Huffing and puffing to cool myself down.

“FINE! Then after all this, you still have not learnt your lesson? You are still thinking of her? Caring for Tiger like you want to take care for your Yonggie?!?” She rattles on.

“What are you talking about? Tiger is not Yonggie!” I retorts back as strong as I can.

“Yonggie loves roses scent and how did you explains all these roses lying here?” Yu Tu presents her evidence.

“Cos Tiger loves rose scent too!” I fire back, not wanting to lose.

“Oh are you sure? Have you asked her, your Tiger? And for your info, your Tiger is me, when I was not awaken. I’m pretty sure that if you have asked me, I will reply my favourite scent is carrot!” Yu Tu spits vehemently.
