CHAPTER 7

Jeongyeon knows when Daniel is mad. The way he answers and he looks at them right now, she is positive right now that Kang Daniel is definitely mad at them .His friends went silent when Daniel left their table

“Did he just walk out on us?” Seongwoo asks them dumbly

“Do you really need to ask hyung?” Jihoon answers Seongwoo sarcastically

“its because you’ve gone overboard Hyung” Woojin voiced his dissatisfaction

“Me? Ya all of you are also curious about what happen” Seongwoos eyes widen as he looks at them one by one, “besides it’s not only me who did the talking”

“what to do… you know what happens when Daniel sulks” Jaehwan placed his both hands on his cheeks

“well we all know that we have three options” Jeonghan started and they all leaned forward except Jeongyeon.

“one. Give him a lots of jellies and candies which I doubt is effective right now. Two, let him sulk for an entire week but that’s gonna be pain in the to all of us. And three which is the best option, let someone talk to him”Jeonghan shows his counting fingers

“so its three” Jisung concluded and most of them agreed,”but who?”

Jeongyeon felt eyes on her, “what?” then realizes whats the look for.

“No.”

“Jeongyeon do it please, We all know that Daniel only listens to you if he is sulking” Jisung pleaded

“do we have another options?”

“unfortunately We have none. Besides you also asks him about the confession so that makes you an accessory for making Daniel mad” Jeonghan stated it as matter of factly

Jeongyeon laments, they are right even though they became friends for only few months, she doesn’t know the reason why but Daniel only talks to her when He sulks. He looks at his friends and then the door where Daniel exited

“fine, you better prepare that puppy’s jellies when we got back okay?” She said while she collected her things. She heard them Okayed and gave her thanks.

Now where did that puppy go? She thought, which she already knew the answer to her question as she head towards a certain place

After getting lost for a few minutes, Jeongyeon finally reached Daniels secret hideout. Jeongyeon looked the area with amazement. No matter how many times Jeongyeon visit the place, it always takes her breath away

Daniels secret hideout is where the rough sea and the gentle lake met. The area has so many wild trees in it. The place is so quiet and natural, it gives relaxing ambiance. Jeongyeon could see the wide horizon of the sea. Many rock surrounds the place that’s why only few people knows its beauty

Jeongyeon searched for Daniel, she knew that the guy has to be somewhere in the area. She caught a glimpse on Daniels things on one of the rocks.

He must be in the water then, she concluded. Knowing Daniel, she knew that it take a few minutes for Daniel to resurface. So she decided to wait and decided to wait for him in a tree near Daniels things

She remembered that she brought her book and started to read it. Maybe it’s because of the ambiance is good or the book she read is boring without realizing her consciousness drift apart.

Daniel decided to resurface after he spends an hour at the bottom of the sea. He is still mad on what happened earlier.

He is angry. He is angry because Seongwoo and the others kept on pestering him about the confession and the date no matter how he deny it. But he is mad at Jeongyeon because it seems that she doesn’t care about it and she even easily gave up their bonding time

Daniel started collecting his things when he someone caught his attention. There she is, sleeping so soundly-leaning in tree, looking so peaceful- book still in her left hand, His stride toward Jeongyeon and sat beside her quietly.

Because Jeongyeon was it sitting position her head keeps on nodding. He laughed softly. He gently pull Jeongyeon towards him and let her head rest on his shoulder.

Though Daniel is still mad, seeing Jeongyeon sleeping peacefully besides him makes his anger washed away. He knew right away that he couldn’t stay mad at her for a long time.Daniel was humming a song when felt Jeongyeon moved a little bit.

“…no”he heard Jeongyeon mumbled in her sleep

Whats the matter Jeongyeonnie, a bad dream? He chuckled silently

“…please stay” Jeongyeon continued, Daniel noticed the tears forming in her eyes

“Jeongyeonnie?” she shaked her gently to wake her up.

“d-don’t leave please. Y-you need to open your eyes” he heard her sob. Now Daniel is more concerned. Jeongyeon is obviously having a nightmare. She patted Jeongyeons cheeks softly to wake her up

Jeongyeon jolted as she woke up. She looks so confuse as she stared at Daniel.

“are you okay?” Daniel worriedly asked, hands on Jeongyeons shoulder

“I-Im …” while wiping the tears in her cheeks but it seems that the tears won’t stop

Daniel reached her shoulder and pulled her into a hug.

“nightmare?” He asked

Jeongyeon nodded still sobbing.

“It’s alright I’m here, cry all you want”He said while patting Jeongyeons hair gently. It seems that Jeongyeon couldn’t handle it anymore and let herself cry

Daniel let Jeongyeon cried, they remained like that for a long time and didn’t let her go until her tears stop from flowing.

Seeing Jeongyeon cries like this pained Daniel, this is the first time He saw her cried, she always look so strong and independent. But right now, she looks so vulnerable in Daniels eyes.

Daniel wants to take away Jeongyeons nightmare if he could but since He couldn’t. He need to make sure that she is with him in times like this

“you okay now?” He asked her, concern trace in his voice, still hugging her

Jeongyeon nodded,”don’t worry, this is pretty normal” smiling so weakly

“your dream… whats happening in your dream” He asks as he level his eye into Jeongyeons

Jeongyeon release herself from Daniels hug. He saw Jeongyeon pause obviously hesitating

He breathe and smiled at her, “you can tell me if you’re ready, but right now please tell me that you are not feeling well”

“Daniel… I”he saw Jeongyeon clasped her both hand, still hesitating “I’m afraid”

“tell me what are you afraid of?”

“I’m afraid that if you hear my story, your’e opinion on me…might change” He look at Jeongyeon, right now she is looking at the ground. Daniel knew that Jeongyeon is serious

“Then how about this, I’ll tell you my secret and you tell yours” Daniel convince her, “deal?”

“I-I can’t….” Jeongyeon is still hesitating, she ball her hands strongly that her knuckled turned white. Daniel reached her hand and tries to uncurl as gentle as possible

“Look at me, trust me. All of us has dark past, you have yours and I’ve got mine”

Jeongyeon nodded, He knows that she is still unsure

Daniel took a deep breath and contemplates himself on how to begin.

“Do you know most of the people’s memory begun at the age of four”he saw Jeongyeon nodded

 “Well mine starts at fourteen”he said as he recalled his past

Daniel woke up from the throbbing pain he felt. His chest and head hurts so badly that he wanted to puke. He look at the place he is currently at. The place is familiar but he could not remember where is the place is

Where am I? who am I?

He touched his throbbing head, he felt some liquid in it

Red…Daniels mind was slowly processing, Blood! What’s happening?as he recognized the fluid

He took a deep breath and reflect on his current situation

He paused for a long time in thinking

First He doesn’t know who He is.

Second, He doesn’t know where he is

And third.what he only knew that he is in some kind of trouble judging from the blood gushing on his head

Danie calms down himself andl tried not to panic then started walking. He walks around for few minutes. Daniel strength is slowly decreasing, he tried his best not to faint

He reached a highway, he searched for passing cars. Despite of pain and blood still flowing in his head he used his remaining strength to walk

“Son of Poseidon, I’m surprise that you are still alive” Daniel heard a voice behind him, He freezes

He look at the person carefully. The person who just talk right now is a beautiful woman, she was smiling brightly at him. A smile that may deceive anyone. She slowly walk towards Daniel

Daniel take a step backward, He doesn’t know why but there is something wrong about this beautiful person.

“Now, son of Poseidon. Don’t be too cautious. You know what I want” She said sweetly

“W-what do you want?” For the first time since He wakes up, Daniel talks

He heard her laugh hysterically, and Daniels hairs almost stood up

“your flesh, give me your flesh. Let me feast on human blood and flesh. And you being a Demigod will be the most delicious dinner I’ll ever had”

Daniel could make a move. He was too stunned on what he hears.

He heard his inner voice, run it said

Now is his chance that’s what he thought

He doesn’t know if the lady is crazy or not, but he knows that he is not safe from her.

So he ran with all his might even forgetting the pain he felt earlier.  He heard the girl scream behind him. He stop and look, to his horror he saw something that he couldn’t imagine

The beautiful woman from earlier is now in the middle of transforming into a creature with sharp teeth, flaming hair, and bat wings,
