CHAPTER 15

DANIEL slashes the Minotaur for the last time to ensure that the monster is definitely dead. He look at the the dark sky again.

The blue fire that engulfed most of the monsters he saw earlier is now gone.  Which makes him wonder who released such a powerful thing. He is sure that it isn’t Sangcheol because he already witnesses the older’s power, perhaps someone from the camp head?

The blue flame he saw earlier is oddly familiar, like it wasn’t the first time he saw it

He looked at is sorroundings, it is full of dead monsters. The shout and cry he heard ealier is replace by screams of joy from winning the battle.

He look at Woojin and Seongwoo that he met earlier. They are now resting after the exhausting war.

He stood up and grabbed his sword again

“Where are you going?” Seongwoo asked

“I going to look for the others, I’m getting worried” he said clamly

“I’ll go with you” Woojin offered and the older smiled back

“Me too” Seongwoo shouted as he also grabbed his sword from the ground

The three of them run so fast to search for their friends

“Jihoon!” Woojin started to yell desperately after few minutes of searching

“Jeongyeon! Jisung!” Daniel also yelled as he getting worried when he saw many wounded campers on the way

“Jaewhan! You there?!” Seongwoo also tried his best to yell the name of their missing friends

“where are they?” Daniel sensed Woojins worried voice

“don’t worry Wojinnie, we will gonna find them” Daniel tried to pacify the younger but he knows he himself that it also directed to himself

“Daniel Oppa?” they heard voice from the distance

“tzuyu?” Daniel immediately recognized the girl but but their eyes flew toward her coat

“that coat...” Woojin recognizes the owner of it

“Jihoon gave it to me in the middle of the attacked” Tzuyu stated as she get what they had implying to

“do you happen to know where they are?” Seongwoo asked

“I am not so sure with the others but Jihoon run towards the strawberry field and Jeongyeon noona followed him”

Daniel was somehow relieved by the time the girl mentioned Jeongyeons name

“strawberry field? Isn’t it where the blue fire generally appeared?” seongwoo said worringly

Daniels relief is now replace by anxiety. If he wasn’t mistaken that fire was so powerful that it engulfs most powerful monsters in a span of few minutes

“we need to go” Daniel said and anxiously toward the direction of the strawberryfields

Many negative thoughts appered in his mind and he hoped that what happened was the opposite of it.

Stop it Niel, they are safe! Daniel prays silently

The three of them searched everywhere nook and and cranny hoping that they’ll atleast meet one of their friends but they failed

Daniel frustratingly sighs after they search for several minutes and still no sign of the people they are searching. He look at Seongwoo, he seems very tired but he knows they currently both feel the same way. He also look at woojin, he knows that more than him woojin is the most anxious because there is no signs of his sibling and Jeongyeon yet

He saw Seongwoo sigh and started to say something “lets take  f-“

“shhhh” Woojin cut them of

“what?”

“I heard voices?”

“where is it?” Daniel hope that it wasn’t a monster because the three of them are exhausted from all the running and fighting

“it sounds familiar” Woojin said

Upon hearing it Daniel immediately stood up and followed the voices. The voice led them to a vacant lot and from the look of it Daniel knew that this is where the fire appeared. All their spine shivered as they saw castrated and burned bodies of the monsters scattered, bloods every where, some trees are still smoking, some remnants of blue fire is still there. Overall the place is a mess, and in the middle of the mess there two people standing on it Daniel stepped closer to see clearly.

“Hyung! Jeongyeon!” He shouted when he was able to confirm it. He runs desperately towards them ignoring the scattering bodies, Woojin and Seongwoo also followed him

The two looked at them but he also noticed the  seriousness on their face

Are they arguing? He thought as he is getting closer towards the two.

“hyu-Jeongyeon!” He was about to call them again but Daniel panicked as he saw the girl  collapsed

The three of them run fast as they could

“hyung! what happened?” Daniel immediately asked when they arrived. He is thankful to Jisung that he was able to catch the girl from falling

“i-is she injured?” Woojin panicked

“no, I don’t think shes injured” Jisung answered weakly. “its just that…”

“what is it hyung?” Daniel is getting more vexed, He lift Jeongyeon instantly

“shes is just exhausted it almost consumed her whole energy” Jisnung answered as he assisted him from lifting the girl

“it? You mean her guardians?”Seongwoo asks as he collected Jeongyeon things

“well yeah she released the three of them... but that’s not what make her collapse” Jisung hesistatedly answered

“she has another guardian?” he asks while looking her worriedly

“no”

“what are you talking about?”

“this” Jisung looked their sorroundings

“you mean…” Woojin is now getting confuse

“are you saying that Jeongyeon made this? That she was the one who released the blue fire earlier?” Seongwos voice became loud as he was surprise the revelation

Jisung nodded silently and the three of them also went silent. He knew that they are thinking the same thing that Jeongyeon indeed the daughter of Hades

“we need to go” Daniel broke the silence , for him the girls safety is his priority. “we need to bring her to the infirmary or to Jaewhan”

All of them agreed

“go first hyung” they heard Woojin said

“why?”

“now I know that Noona is safe, I still need to search for Jihoon” He weakly said

“About that… you need to come with us Woojin” Jisung answers sadly and Daniel didn’t miss it

“what do you mean?”

“Jihoon and Jihyo is already at the infirmary…”

Horrid scene

That was the exact word that Daniel could define the moment they entered the infirmary. Many campers are wounded, some of them are on blood, some had fractures, and most have bandages all over the body

Everything is a mess. The healers are obviously tired but they are still doing their best to help.

“Jaewhan?” he called their friend who is also busy healing the other campers

“oh Niel! Thank god youre ok- Is that Jongyeon you are carrying?” the older panicked when saw the girl on her arms

“don’t worry, she just fainted” he assured him upon seeing his worried face

“where should I put her?” he asks as he scan the infirmary, it seem that it is already full

“put her on the back, Jihyo is also there” he said sadly

The four of them nodded and walk towards the said area. The back of the infirmary is surprisingly peaceful and the only people there is Jihoon, Jeonghan and Jihyo who is lying on the bed

“Jihoon why are you crying?” Woojin asks as he saw his twin brother in tears

“Woojin… Jihyo noona, Jihyo noona she….” Jihoon started to sob again

“tell me what happened dammit!” Woojins voice raised that make them startled because Woojin rarely raised his voice towards Jihoon

“Noona won’t wake up..”

“what? Are you kidding me. look at her she just sleeping so peacefully. There is no way that she won’t wake up!” Woojin walks towards her older sister

“wake up Noona, This isn’t the time you should pretending to be asleep. Wake up” He shakes his sister but the older remain as it is.

“Woojin stop it” Jeonghan hugged his younger brother and Woojin started to cry

“what happen to her?” Jihoon worriedly asks as he noticed the unconscious Jeongyeon

“Don’t worry Jihonnie, Jeongyeon just fainted” he assure him and placed Jeongyeon on the vacant bed beside Jihyo

“what happened to Jihyo?” He asks as he place a blanket at the short-haired girl

“the thing is…” Jisung started

Jisung explained everything about them

“underworld? You mean Hades lair? As in Jeongyeons father?” Seongwoo pointed the unconscious Jeongyeon

Jisung nodded. All of them went silent, all of them are thinking

Daniel thinked of a solution “how about we-“

“no” Jisung didn’t let him finnish

“what? I haven’t said anything yet”

“I know exactly what you are suggesting”

“And that is?” Seongwoo asks

“I know that youll suggest that we will go to underworld and retrieve her soul” Jiisung sighs. “seriously why did the both of you think the same way”

Daniel didn’t argued back because Jisung was right

Both? Who else thought about it? He look at the older who is now looking at Jeongyeon. Jisung looked so stressed than ever

“anyways, I’ll go to heads office to report this, anyone else who is coming with me?” Jisung asks

“I’ll go with you” Jeonghan offered and the older smiled appreciatedly

When the two of older left, the remaining four of them went silent

“why is this happening!?” Woojin exclaimed

“Wooji-“

“I mean it’s just yesterday we are peaceful and laughing together” Frustration is visible on his face

“sorry…” they suddenly heard a familiar weak voice.

That voice belongs to Jeongyeon who is now trying to get up

“Jeongye-“

“Noona you are awake” Jihoon Jumped and hugged the newly awake Jeongyeon

“sorry… It is my fault” Jeongyeon said weakly ignored Jihoons hug and continued to apologized

“no… it is not your fault” Jihoon assured her holding the girls hand

“no, its me that they wanted. We both knew that Jihonnie” Jeongyeon removed the youngers hand on her. The rest of them went silent

“what do they want from you?” Daniel couldnt stand the silence

“it has something to do with my past…” Jeongyeon answered vaguely and Daniel understands what she is talking about

“what happened in the past?” Seongwoo asked. Right, because only Seongwoo didn’t know Jeongyeons past. The Park twins didn’t answer and Jeongyeon went silent, thinking

“I... I’m tired” Jeongyeon sighs

“yeah she’s tired why don’t we let her rest first” Daniel suggested. He knows that it is just the girls excuse

Jeongyeon stood up and readied herself

“where are you going Noona?” Woojin asks worriedly and he knows why, Jeongyeon is obviously still weak state

“I am…” Jeongyeon paused then smiled weakly. “I need to go to bathroom”

“oh okay, take your time” Jihoon said

“y-yeah” she said as she walks towards the exit
