CHAPTER 3

Daniel changes his clothes and immediately dived into his bed, He grabbed one of his plushies and hugged it. He silently stared at his ceiling; it’s true that he was slightly feeling weak today because used his power but he is not that weak that he needed to sleep right away. He just made that excuse to avoid their further question towards the girl name Jeongyeon.

Jeongyeon, the mysterious person who is bugging her mind lately. He already knew the twins are overprotective of her. He knew the twins since they are ten years old when they entered the camp. Woojin was the athletic type, and Jihoon is the intellectual type, He is 12 at that time. He knew that every summer the Park siblings would go outside the camp and return with a big smile on their faces especially the youngest twin. And Daniel grew fond of them for he missed having a Dongsaeng.

Before Guanlin joined their team, he first invited Woojin a rising star swordsman in the class to join his team but the younger kindly rejected it. When he asked for the reason, “my sword already chooses its master to protect hyung” Woojin simply answered.

He also heard that Sangcheols team recruited Jihoon and Jihyo, but then again the Park sibling refused it. That made Daniel curious, why would the Three Parks reject the offer from Sangcheol-the son of Zeus and him-son of Poseidon?

His questions answered six years ago, One night Daniel decided to take a dip in the lake, as usual, he stayed for hours when he decided to go back to his cabin when he saw two small figures beside the lake. Not wanting to disturb them, Daniel swam silently to give them privacy but stopped as he hears their familiar voices

“Jihonnie don’t cry,” Woojin said while wiping Jihoons tears

“Woojin-ah I’m scared…”Jihoon answered still sniffling, “I don’t want to lose her too…”

“Don’t worry Jihonnie we won’t, Noona is a fighter,” Woojin tries to cheer up the younger

“I can’t help but worry, Noona kept on crying almost every day” Jihoon wiped his tears

Noona? Did something happen to Jihyo? But Jeonghan didn’t say anything.

“Give her time Jihoon; time will heal her. Jihyo noona is watching her right now” he heard woojin answered

Jihyo noona is watching? So not Jihyo, then who? Daniel was curious now and he swam silently near the two

“Where are you going Honnie?” woojin asked when Jihoon suddenly stood up

“I’m going to talk to Chiron,” Jihoon said with determination

“For what?”

“I need to ask for permission- no I will beg them to allow me to stay with Jeongyeon noona” Jihoon answered

Jeongyeon? Who the heck is jeongyeon? Daniels asked himself for he knows most of the camper and that’s the first time He heard that name

“But they won’t allow you Jihoon!” woojin grabbed his twins wrist

“I don’t care!”Jihoon pulled his wrist “She’ll die! Can’t you see her eyes? Her eyes, there’s no life in it, its empty. She can’t see us; I need to keep my eye on her! I want to give her a reason to live like what she had done to me two years ago” Jihoon couldn’t keep his tears, his shoulders are shaking

Woojin hugged him and sighed, “I know, I feel that too. Come let’s talk to Chiron about this”

Daniel rose as he saw the twins leave, he is more confused than ever

Few months after the incident, Daniel almost forgot about it when he heard Jeonghan came over to complain

“ahhhh so lonely these days” Jeonghan said while hugging Daniels Plushie. There only two of them today

“Why? Does you half-sister and the twins not with you?” Daniel curiously asked while giving Jeonghan a juice

“They moved to another cabin” Jeonghan answered while drinking the juice

“They what? Did you had a fight? Did you prank them again” Daniel said, he knew that Jeonghan loved to prank his dongsaengs.

Jeonghan rolled his eyes “no, I wasn’t able to prank them this summer at all, they are mostly not in the cabin.”

“So why did they move?”

“Jihoon begged the Chiron to let him moved, and the Chiron allowed not only him but Jihyo and woojin as well.”

Daniels remembered the scene at the lake

“But didn’t we have a rule for that?” Daniel said as he remembers the rule

“The thing is, this demigod is quiet special” Jeonghan said while finishing the juice

“How special? More special than the son of Zeus or son of Poseidon?” Daniel joked

“Hmmm, NOT more special but AS special as you and Sangcheol” Jeonghan placed his empty glass and looked at Daniel

“What do you mean? Which cabin did they move?” Daniel leaned seriously

“Pluto’s’ cabin, they moved in with Hades daughter” Jeonghan answered simply

“Plut-Hades has a daughter?!” Daniel exclaimed with a surprise

Hades is one of the big 3 Greek God, Zeus the Casanova has plenty of sons and daughters. Poseidon-his father is also no different, for example, Percy and him. But Hades had never had an offspring and a daughter to boot

“Surprising right?” Jeonghan said as he helped himself for another glass of juice.

After a few days, the news about the daughter of Hades spread throughout the camp, but for their disappointment, they never saw her stepped out of the cabin

“She hates people” according to Jeonghan

Since no one saw the underworlds daughter except for three Parks. Various rumors had spread. That the daughter is fat, that she is ugly, or she had 2 head, or one eye only like Cyclopes, or her look like a witch.

Daniel was so curious towards her, but he shakes it off. Knowing that there is no chance of meeting her since she locked herself in her cabin

But after few years his curiosity sparks again, because when suddenly a fight occurs in a typical day of sword fighting practice. As one of the best swordsman Daniel immediately ran to the place of incident to be a peacemaker and to his surprise, he saw Woojin looking so angry than ever

“Apologize!” he heard Woojin shouted

“I what? Are some kind of crazy? Why should I?” Vernon, the son of Ares (god of war) sneered

“I said apologize!” woojin said readying for another attack

“Woojin!” Daniel shouted, He never saw Woojin like this. Yes he is hot-headed but not to this point

“Stay away Hyung, You have no business here,” Woojin said without even glancing him

“Park Woojin! You know that serious fighting is not allowed in training arena” Daniel reminded

Woojin smirked giving an I-don’t-care look.

“woojin…” Jihoon arrived at the area

“honniee…” Woojins expression soften a little bit

“Why are you so angry? What happen?” Jihoon cautiously walk towards Woojin

Woojin didn’t say a word and remained silent, and the sword was still in front of Vernon

“Woojin calm down...” Daniel pleaded, “What happen?”

“he…” Woojin paused, “he insulted her…”

“I what? That’s what you call trash talking!” Vernon yelled

Woojin glared at Vernon, “yes that’s normal if it is only just trash talked me but no, you insulted her!”

“Her?” Vernon tried to remember then smirked, “oh you mean the daughter of Hades?”

Vernon laughed, “Why are you so worked up? Come on Wooj! You can’t be serious.”

“…say” they heard Jihoons voice

“What?” Daniel asked jihoon

“What did he say?!” Jihoon yelled

Vernon was startled at Jihoons loud voice

“What’s the big deal? I only said that; that daughter of hades should leave this camp or just die to join her father!”

“You what?” Daniel looked at Vernon then at Jihoon, who is now angry

“Wojinnie, please make him suffer” he heard Jihoon ordering Woojin

Woojin is now angrier run towards the Vernon. Daniel tried to grab him, but it’s no use.

The crowd shouted, some panicked then all of the sudden a gust of wind lifted Woojin away from Vernon

“What’s the commotion all about?” Sangcheol said still lifting woojin on air.

“Put me down Hyung!!” Woojin shouted

“Nope until you’re calm,” Sangcheol said

“Put him down Hyung!” Jihoon ordered Sangcheol

“No is no Jihoon, should I also punish you?” Sangcheol threatened him

“Yeah you should also punish him Hyung” Vernon smugly said

“Shut up Vernon! Even though I don’t know what happens, I am sensing that you are involved in this” That statement makes Vernon cowe
