CHAPTER 6

Being friends with Kang Daniel definitely have pros and cons, that’s what Jeongyeon discovered after spending a few months being with them

The pros are:

One. They never let her be alone. Reason? She got loss one time that her friends has to look at her for a half day just to discover that she ended at the entrance of the camp instead in ampitheather.  That makes Daniel insist on maintaining his buddy role, which means He is with her at all times from first class in the morning till the end to avoid further problems due to her lack of sense of direction

Second. She was able to catch-up on her behind lectures (because she refused to attend them before), She may admit it or not. Kang Daniel is definitely one of the best student in the camp, he tutored Jeongyeon during their free time. And also Jihoon helps her if He has time

Third. Kang Daniels friends are a bunch of happy pills, as much as she wants to hate them they are definitely good people and never fails to make Jeongyeon smile (though not all the time) at the end of the day.

So what are the cons?

One. Combining Kang Daniels childish antics and Yoo Jeongyeons stubborn attitude is a bad equation. They tend to cause trouble whether they intend it or not, just like one time when they have heated debate they unconsciously released their power and cause trouble in Namjoons (the tactician professor) class which they earn an earful sermon from him.

Two. Kang Daniel and his friends are too rowdy on her opinion, they catch everyone’s attention. And Jeongyeon hates that attention she gets because most of the time they hang out with her and the Park siblings. Jeongyeon tried to avoid them once and they dramatically bombarded Jeongyeon with non-ending “Why” questions like five-year olds and that makes Jeongyeon mentally noted herself that she shouldn’t avoid them again

And third. Kang Daniel is too famous. She receive unwanted attention that she hates every day, not only because she is the Daughter of Hades but because of Kang Daniel. Girls or boys adored him too much. Especially girls, Jeongyeon was always glared at, if death glares can kill-Jeongyeon would be six feet below the ground every single time they saw her with Daniel

Just like today, they are having an archery class with Hani the archery teacher. Jeongyeon could feel the glares from Daniels “fans”. The reason? Daniel, Seongwoo, Jisung, and Jaewhan decided to cheer during their practical exams.

“Go Jeongyeon!!” Jaehwan shouted while clapping his hands

“If you win! Hyung will  be proud” Jisung cooed like a father

“If you lose here! I would be ashamed that you are my friend!” Seongwoo threatened

“It’s of okay if you lose Jeongyeonniee! Don’t mind Seongwoo, we will be always proud of you!” Daniel wear his usual stupid grin

Jeongyeon sighed. She is thankful to Jeonghan who is with them is sane enough to just watch the exam like what normal people would do

How can I concentrated if you four idiots keep on screaming!  She wanted to shout but she chooses not to, because the moment she do that, the four idiots fans will definitely kill her just because she yelled at them

“It seems that your fanboys are here Jeongyeon, as usual” Miss Hani chuckled, it seems that she was amuse with the view, “I know that you’re one of the best, but I hope that they will not break your concentration”

 Jeongyeon only smiled at her as a response, she tried to assess the target again. There are three apples which is fifty meters away from her. So far only one was able to hit that apples and that is Sin B and she only wasted two arrows on hitting those delicious apples.

Jeongyeon raised her both arms preparing to shoot      .

“Relax Jeongyeonnie! You can do it!” Once again Daniel cheered and the other three claps enthusiastically. Jeongyeon glared at them but they still continued to scream

“Big pup can you please Shut-up! I couldn’t concentrate with all of your shoutings!’’ She couldn’t help but shout, she look at the other campers it seems that they are surprise with her sudden outburst. Daniel and his friends was also surprise but then burst into heartily laughs.

“Ya, do you want me to shoot this arrow to the four of you?” She threaten as she prepare herself to shoot

“Don’t mind us, just do it” Daniel said still laughing.

Jeongyeon rolled her eyes then she releases three arrows in a matter of few seconds unto her target. She heard a number of whoa and claps as she hit the three apples without missing any of it.

“that’s my baby!!!” Jisung exclaimed feeling proud and apparently earned some suspicious glance from the other campers

“What? She my daughter!!” He said animatedly glared back to them

She smiled slightly satisfied with herself because despite of her lack of concentration due to her loud fanboys she was able to hit those apples. She looked at her noisy friends, all of them are still loud and wearing a big smile. Daniel gave her a thumb up and she did the same as a response

“I guess your fanboys are a big help huh?” Miss Hani commented

“Believe me Miss, one of these days, they’re gonna be one of my practice targets”Jeongyeon replied as she gather her things, she heard her teacher giggled

Jeongyeon walk towards her friends, they all gave her high fives and congratulations and Jihyo hugged her. She reprimand them to be quiet which they surprisingly obeys

“So now I conclude our monthly practical exam for archery, I will post you rankings these afternoon so look forward to it. The class today is dismissed, see you next week!” Miss Hani announces and then leave immediately

Some student gather their things and some student chats with friends.

Jeongyeon and her friends are still busy chatting about her winning shot

“I’m so proud of you!” Jisung attempted to hug her but Jeonghan pull him back that makes the older pout

“jeongmal, jeongmal, jinjja, real, daebak, heol, wanjeon” Seongwoo gave her a salute and Jaehwan is laughing hysterically

“I guess our cheer worked huh?” Daniel grinned at her.

“ trust me if you four do that again during practical exams I’ll definitely shoot your head instead of those apples”she couldn’t hide her smile, because she knows that they would still do it on the next practical exams

“ehhh, we know you like that” Daniel cooed and earned a glare from her

“Daniel oppa!” They heard someone called him from behind. They look around and found the owner of the voice. All of them went silent when they saw a pretty girl standing behind Daniel

“oh its Somi!, Hello Somi!” Jaehwan excitedly greet at the girl

Pretty, Jeongyeon thought. This Somi girl is definitely pretty, she could pass to be an idol if they are in normal circumstances. She glance at the Choding beside her, Daniel is still busy teasing Seongwoo about his cheer

“oppa” Somi called again when she noticed that Daniel didn’t greet her back

“ oh Somi” AT last he gave attention to Somi “what is it?” He said

“Oppa can I talk to you for a second?” She said as she shyly clasp her both hand

Jeongyeon heard a giggle behind her. She wasn’t sure if it it Jisung or Seongwoo who giggled but either way she gave them a glare as a warning.

“sure, is it long? Because we have plans today” Daniel said still unaware of his surroundings

“don’t worry Oppa, I only need a little of you time time” Somi assured him as her  face blushed

“ okay, lets talk then. Can you guys wait for me for a second?” he said looking at his friends waiting for an assurance that they would be there when he comeback

“sure, take you time. We are willing to wait” Seongwoo sarcastically answers while grinning

Once Daniel and Somi was out of sight, the boys exploded in laughter.

“ it’s a confession, I’ll tell you” Jeonghan still smiling

“Daebak, how many confession did he received this month?” Jisung

“I’ll bet my lunch for today that Daniel will definitely reject her confession” Seongwoo

“but Seongwoo, It’s Somi. The Daughter of Hera. She’s really pretty you know” Jaehwan

“Ya. I’ll tell you, Somi isn’t Daniels type” Seongwoo

“SO whats her type then?”She asked

Seongwoo rolled his eyes, “Duh, his type is someone like his fir-Jeongyeon!” He exclaimed as he realize that Jeongyeon was the one asking the question

“What? Did you four forgot that Jihyo and I are here” Jeongyeon raised an eyebrow

Indeed, they forgot as she saw them scratches their head and smiled apologetically

“But how did you know that it is a confession not something else?” Jihyo asks curiously ignoring the fact that they also forgot about her

 “dongsaeng, did you see the way she looked at Daniel?” Jeonghan anwers his younger sister while slinging his arm on Jihyos shoulder

“what look?” Jihyo responded

“it’s the same look the way Choi Sangcheol looked at Nayeon” He said in a soft voice

Jeongyeon could hear ohhs and ahhs from her friends, “Oh that look” She heard Jihyo as she understood what they meant to say

“but you still didn’t answer my previous question Seongwoo?”Jeongyeon said while crossing her both arms

“what question?” Seongwoo answers her innocently

“About Daniels type”

“Oh! that question , but why are asking by the way?”

She couldn’t answer, Why am I asking again?
